Best cigar in the world outside of Cuba.

WOW. Are these legal? I was stoned after smoking this one. Great full-bodied taste, and strong. Took an hour before I felt normal again. Has to be something more than tobacco here. Except for the extremely ridiculous price, OpusX is one of the best non-Cu

This cigar was awesome. The burn was perfect with a nice firm ash. The aroma was the best i've ever smelled and the taste was close behind. The cigar was dark, oily and beautiful with no visible flaws.
The best ever.
The best ever.

"Awesome"
Great smoke last one I had. I wish I had more saved this one for months. Great quality for such a small cigar very powerful. Great burn as well.

"Strong, heady, coffee and pepper abound!"
This is a knockout little coronitas. Strong from the light, ramping up the entire length. Pepper and coffee, perhaps one dimensional in this sense but that's ok. Catches the nose and throat sharply, perhaps some age will round this little powerhouse out, but it's good on its own. This cigar walks right into your head without knocking first. I enjoy this smoke slowly (1h+) to get the most of its incredible flavor. Compliments hot cocoa like no other. Mine have been perfectly rolled and the wrappers are flawless so far. Brilliant!

"Big experience from a little guy"
Don't underestimate this one - it is full-bodied! Great construction and draw. It's a solid hour smoke believe it or not! Very complex with leather, cedar, strong coffee, and cocoa. It was a pleasure to smoke such a well-balanced and complex cigar.

"nice at the right price"
This cigar is constructed second to none. Its a marvel to admire how well the cigar is packed and with such skill. The wrapper really comes through controlling the experience, yet I find myself wishing for something more tasty.

"Dissapointed"
This was the first Opus I have tried; maybe I was expecting too much? Reminded me of the SG Chateau Fuente. One dimensional and mediocre at best. Not worth the $12.00 retail.

This was an excellent cigar. About as good as some Cubans I've had.

"Very Dissapointed"
Very disappointed. Had read stellar reviews and was looking forward to smoking it. I found it wasn't as smooth as I was hoping, and had a bit of a bite.

"A sneaky little SOB..."
I won a box of these at a charity auction. Having smoked a couple of Perf. A's over the last couple of years I was happy to have won. I expected a smoke similar to the A, complex - light to medium bodied with first class consruction. I was right about the build of this stick. But I was way off on the smoke part. A great 30 min. smoke. Complex in all the right ways. Good draw, even burn, never got hot. But wow, VERY heavy in nicotine. I smoked about half of it, got up to get some water and almost fell down. Not wanting to give up I finished it. Big mistake; after about 15 minutes my stomach started to ache badly. My head hurt. I felt a little "off" for about 30 minutes. But it won't stop me from smoking the rest! This OpusX sneakes up on you. A great smoke, but don't let the looks fool you. This is strong, potent smoke, but it's so well made that you don't realize it. This cigar is like a roller coaster that makes you sick everytime you ride it, but you enjoy it so much you keep riding it over and over again. I'm a fan of almost everything Fuente does. So I'm just gonna man up and keep on riding.

"Opus #5 hmm good"
This #5 has about a year of age on it and still extremely powerful. Prelight taste of pepper, after light nice powerful cocoa and pepper taste, extremely good.

"best opus value"
I had the ash on this thing about 2/3 before it fell. Packed with pepper and very powerful. I think for the money they are the best opus value, plus they are the easiest to get in the smaller markets. Drips with oil. I'm aging 3 and smoking another right now.

"Con Artist"
I thought I would cap an evening with this PC, expecting a rich short smoke. It wasn't short, and it knocked me into the next county. It starts with a burst of pepper and then mellows into leather and cedar. The construction is good: nice draw, fairly even burn. My sample had a good year on it, and it was smooth, a real con artist. I felt myself sinking deeper and deeper into the chair, until at smokes end I was reeling a bit. About ten minutes later I was feeling a bit queasy -- a petite corona? Queasy? How is this possible? Believe me, it's possible. This is a full flavored smoke that lasts a good half hour, and unless you're used to heavy nicotine, take it easy. This little guy doesn't fool around.

"What is all the hype about?"
These are to peppery and they have a copper taste. Very good draw, lots of smoke, and strong full body cigar there not made out to what they are said to be.

"I hurled"
It was like sucking on a pepper shaker. But that wasn't the main problem. These bad boys pack a wallop. I got up too fast and my legs turned to rubber. And I got a case of the head spins, too much Nick. The pepper taste gave way to a coppery taste that got stronger and stronger and then...well, you know the rest.

"great smoke"
My first from Opus X. Good looking cigar, small of course...no problems with veins or anything. Wrapper taste pre-cut was peppery which will be a recurring theme. pre-light draw, some coffee/chocolate and more pepper. Smooth from the beginning. Very full body of course, just my style. Taste of more pepper, coffee/chocolate, and cream throughout entire smoke. Nubbed it to the very end. I really ejoyed this cigar because it was extremely full without having to be harsh or overpowering. This is something that alot of non cuban companies seem to struggle with in order to make a full cigar. This was the closest thing to a cuban so far. Great smoke!

"i expected better"
I know a lot of people that are a fan of the opux x line so I decided to try one. It was definetly a stronger cigar (which i like) but i expected a more complex flavor considering all of the rave about it. It was very toasty; however, a bit one dimensional. I'll have to try more to really have a good opinion about it. Don't get me wrong, its a good cigar, I just don't see what all the fuss is about with these opus x's and I definetly would rather spend the same amount of money and get TWO better cigars. looks great though.

"Powerhouse"
Within a few minutes of lighting this little gem, I wondered why it didn't have a red band at the foot (like a Power Ranger). A strong cigar with a decent burn. Full of flavor and teeming with Vitamin N. Definitely not for people who like mild cigars.

"Another winner from Fuente"
Like density, I had trouble lighting this one, but the burn evened out with one touch-up. Lots of thick smoke, cappucino and spice with an occassional hint of sweetness. A powerhouse that is still giving me a buzz a half hour later. Not as complex as some of the other Opus, but certainly a great cigar.

"One of the best small cigars"
No. 13 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. It's well-made with the trademark reddish-brown wrapper and a neatly done cap. It's a bit hard to light and that results in an uneven burn initially, but it does eventually straighten out; it also needed to be relit a few times. However, the draw is perfect and it produces thick clouds of smoke with a powerful aroma. The first few puffs have a lot of red pepper and are very spicy, but it becomes more balanced as coffee, cream, and nutty flavors appear to join the underlying spiciness; add the sweetness from the wrapper and you have a complex and flavorful smoke. The finish is very long and lasts until the next day. It's also a bit of a headspinner, so brace yourself. A hard to find cigar that's even harder to find at a good price; I overpaid for mine, but if you can find them at close to the MSRP, buy as many as the shop will allow.

"OVERPOWERING"
There are dozens of cigars that smoke as powerful as this cigar and do it better. The idea is to get a flavorful, toasty and smooth smoke. None of which the Opus X delivers. Loaded up with inexp[ensive le'harro its just an average cigar that is not complex nor a joy at the prices charged. If you want raw power without the pricetag.........Camacho or Partagas black.

"Oh, yeah!"
I lit this cigar up and was AMAZED ... it is SO GOOD! Everbody who talks about how strong it was is not kidding. It has thick, delicious, flavorful smoke. Marvelous. If you pause more than a minute or two before puffs, it will go out. This cigar was DEFINITELY worth the money. One of the very-best non-cubans I've ever had.

"Wow!!"
This little guy lasted a LOT longer than I had thought it would. Awesome flavors, great rosado taste came out.
People have mentioned it's strong, but good grief!! I felt like I had been kicked in the head by a donkey by the time I was done! Awesome flavor, worth it for special occasions.

"Powerhouse"
Definitely not a morning smoke! A very spicy, oily wrapper with a razor sharp burn. Lots of pepper for the first half. Mellowed a bit for the second half, but maintained plenty of power and flavor. Long-lasting for a short smoke.

"Opus X Perfection #5"
Spicey on the lips before lit. 1st 3rd: Peppery, mild, hint of sweet. 2nd 3rd: More pepper, mellow sweet smoke, leathery. Last 3rd: more spicey pepper, sweet smoke, full body, leathery. Excellent smoke. Thumb burner. Not harsh at all. The whole way down. It is a buzzer too. Have a meal before you smoke it. Recommended as a buy.

This has to be the strongest little cigar I ever had. My lips were burning from the spice before I even lit it. My only complaint is that every one I have smoked(5) burned very hot.

"Up in Smoke"
One of the best in the world and the best of Opus X.
Starts off spicy and mellows slightly, very rich tasting with tons of smoke and as special bonus, a little buzz for your smoking enjoyment.
Lasts a long time for a little corona, a very pleasant surprise.
