Quite simply, the best of the Padron line and one of the best of all cigars made. Much better than the Exclusivo and far better than all but a select few of the Habanas! A truly rare and precious cigar.

The Padron Anni's are the most consistent cigar on the planet. Why spend so much on a Cuban when one-third are poorly constructed????

"Better deal"
This was the second of the Padrons I picked up in Miami and it was cheaper and a better smoke. The look was similar, but the flavors more dynamic and no bitterness. Still a lot to pay for a cigar, but not too bad on occasion.

"Padron 64 Anniversary Diplomatica (M)"
Good cigar - have yet to smoke a 64 anniversary cigar that wasn't very good. I'd put this one in the bottom quarter of Padron anniversary pack, though, which still places it above most others. Cigar mostly ran out of gas in the final 1/3.

"good smoke - maybe a bit over-rated"
Great shape, construction was good - draw was a bit tight; cigar burned a bit unevenly; tasted good, very mellow with no harshness, but not incredibly exciting.

Still much better than most, certainly.

"Great smoke"
I have a 1964 Torpedo ageing in my humidor waiting for my 21st birthday but I have been dying to try one of these series. So today I when I was at the smoke shop I picked up a diplomatico. WOW. Excellent construction with a nice oily wrapper and a great scent The burn was clean, no runners and the white ash stuck all the way to about 3/4. Tons of rich smelling smoke from this guy. The flavor was that of toasted nuts with coco, changing to an almost spicy taste towards the end. Smoked it till all that was left was the cap with no harshness.

"Old Favorite"
This line will never let you down. I've gone back to this cigar everytime I want a special occassion smoke. Never exceeded the hype. The bench mark in box-pressed cigars! Absolutely perfect. Don't compare this to Opus, because they are two completely different cigars. Apples and oranges. Worth every penny and then some.

"Hard to Beat!"
It's amazing when you can smoke a cigar so many times, and the experience is like the first time all over again. Everyone knows about the construction, so I won't even go there. The first draw was a burst of smoke and clean earthy flavors. For how long this cigar is, the draw is outstanding. Hints of cashews, maybe coffee bean, just simply silky. Toward the second half of the cigar, it opened up a little more and brought out a little more of a leathery taste and coffee finish. Never got harsh, while still maintaining it's complex flavors. It's so hard not to like these smokes. You try to find flaws, but you just keep thinking, why can't every cigar experience be as pleasant. Smoke to the nub, like always.

"Damn Fine!"
It may sound strange but the best way I can describe the taste of this cigar is clean. The Diplomaticos I have smoked all have an amazing clean Nicaraguan floral taste.
The construction was a thing of beauty. The cigar kept it's perfect burn after the ash fell off unlike so many other cigars I have smoked...No runners, also all of the Diplomaticos I've smoked were rock solid and still had a flawless draw. I cannot think of a finer smoke...Other than a Padron 64 Anniversary Maduro Torpedo.

"Great!!! but pricey."
This cigar surpasses its outstanding reputation. Magic experience end to end. Outstanding appearance and construction. Great smoke volumes. The taste is amazingly good and consistent from the first sweet impression all the way to the consistently medium to strong flavor right to the nub. Its everything you ever heard it is... and apparently the demand supports the price, which is more than I'd normally pay for a cigar. I will buy more... but I will shop very hard to find a better deal.

"Good Cigar"
This oner burned perfectly just like a Padron should. It had strong flavors of expresso and coffee, and was not as sweet as some of the shorter 1964s I've tried. Still one of the best NCs around, just a bit pricy at $10.

"Yet another great Padron"
Looking for a little extra bang from the Anniversary line? Here it is. This is the biggest and one of the best in the line. Now if I could just lay my hands on 'A'! A beautiful dark maduro wrapper, that is firm and a little bit lumpy. The cap takes a punch and rebounds, ready to be smoked. The draw is easy and the burn is smooth with the usual Anniversary flavors - leather, molasses and coca. All of these flavors came through in nice even proportions. One of the best, it lives up to the rest of the line.

"Padron?"
Smoked one of the newer releases recently after the security band was added. My first response was "?" The wrapper was on the gray side not the typical almost dyed black maduro I am used to seeing and there was a white film on the cigars like on old chocolate. The draw was perfect but there was 0 flavor. Just a hint of coffee but that is about it. Would have traded a 1st born of some of the older ones but this was a disappointment.
