"Lots of Spice"
If you like them spicy this is your cigar. Not totally extreme, but enough spice if that's your cup of tea. I like this cigar as a change of pace. The burn was near perfect as was the draw. The appearance comes off a little rough, but that just gives the Padron 2000 Maduro some character.

"Another great Padron"
Slightly bitter at ignition, it settled down after a half inch into the characteristic Padron pleasantness. Nice complexity of flavors, with cocoa, wood and nutty tobacco fighting for dominance. Slightly sweet & spicy, but not overwhelming. Excellent draw & burn, long creamy finish, medium body & strength. For the price you can't beat it.

"Nice!"
A very good... i personally say "Nice!" The price is my country (Malaysia) is RM22 (about $5.8)... Yup, the tax here is very..Very..VERY High! the tax varies from 50-100% to the price of cigar 🙁
Enough about the price, the construction was nice. just the cap is quite 'eye catching', if you know what i mean 🙂 The draw is good.
After lighting up, the cigar started out a bit plain but after it got warmed up, the tastes starts to come around. for me, i did get the woody and creamy espresso like taste... i tried to find the cocoa taste but couldn't get it. but the smoke was great and full of flavour.
I like it for the price and taste. Nice!

"Okay"
These start out pretty rough but then settle down a little bit into an everyday kind of woody Nicaraguan smoke. They're a little bit soft, and nothing special to look at, but for the price they're not bad. With a little effort you can find a smoother full bodied cigar with a similar profile for close to the same price. Without the Padron name I don't think these would get the ratings they do.

"Incredible value for money"
At the incredible price of $ 3.6 each (€ 2.5 including Florida tax) this must be the best value cigar in the world, period. 90% of the flavours of the 1964 Exclusivo at 1/3 of the price, this is the real bargain. Cocoa and wood are the main flavour feature, it is reasonably good looking and burns well. What do you want more from life?

"Don't get carried away by these reviews"
I really want to like this cigar. I generally like Nicaraguan cigars, and the Padron brand is legendary. The size is right, and the price is even better. The reviews are raving, but I don't see what the fuss is about. Maybe the flavor profile is not to my liking, but most of these I have smoked started out harsh and bitter and stayed that way throughout. I get some sweet cocoa-ish taste sometimes, but I have to try hard to feel it. The ash was flaky and the cigar seems to be filled with many soft spots. Maybe all the 2000's I've had in the past two years have been young, but for reviews like this I'd like to smoke something that's good right out of the box. If you're the kind of person that buys a box after reading some reviews, don't. Try a five pack and let them rest. That's what I am going to do next, and will review again.

"Very pleasant"
I have smoked several of these and continue to enjoy each and every one. The looks are a bit plain .... even homely ... and some have some strange little curves, but that doesn't detract from what is in my book a top notch smoking experience. This is a premium I feel lives up to the price. There are cheaper cigars, but they aren't a Padron.

"good morning"
I like this smoke in the morning on the drive into work. Don't expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed. Smooth, mild and with a little hint of dark chocolate every now and then. The wrapper doesn't stand up to much abuse, so just be gentle with them. I was gifted the ones I have smoked, but the cigar is affordable. A good go-to mild cigar and a compliment to your morning java.

"$3.75 - worth much more."
For the money, this is one of the best cigars I've had. I love Padron - they never disappoint. Med-full bodied. Not the prettiest gar on the market, but very flavorful, w/ a nice aroma.
Word to the wise: Leave these out of the Humi for a couple days, as they tend to be a little moist, which gives them an off-flavor and often leads to burn troubles. I put mine in a dried-out, old wooden Cusano 18 box w/ sheets of dry cedar in it. The dry wood sucks the excess moisture out of them in a matter of a couple days. At that point they taste and burn very nicely.

"Highly overrated"
I'm sorry but I've smoked a ton of Padrons in all sizes over the years and I just can't get excited. This one was very mild and bland although there was a distinct dark chocolate taste to it which I appreciated. If they had half as much flavor and complexity as their annivery or 1926 series, they would be an admirable cigar but they don't. Just too ordinary and unexciting. Their prices are very, very reasonable I will say however.

"Disappointed..."
I've had two of these now, one on a very windy day which meant I got a bad burn going. So I picked up another one today to see if I could come up with a more sympathetic review. Unfortunately, I still had burn problems on a clear, windless day after a light with a nice torch lighter. I am pretty convinced the burn problems were not my fault - and even if they were, I’ve seen a cigar self-correct worse issues than these.
This *is* a pretty cigar: velvety brown wrapper with nice oil. As for flavor, I got a pretty nice combination of earth, leather and cocoa, with an added bit of cedar this time. The problem is that this is a very subtle cigar. Maybe it’s too subtle for me, or maybe I’m just looking for something else. The flavor is very dry, and usually in a maduro I like something a bit stronger, sweeter and / or more peppery. As I got a couple inches into this robusto, I kept expecting a little more oomph or a new flavor or two. No luck. If you’re into mild-to-medium bodied cigars, this might be a great pick, but for me, if I’m going to have a maduro, I’d much prefer something like the C.A.O. Mx2, which is decidedly medium-bodied, but still has plenty of pepper and bitter chocolate to give it some heft.

"indubitably"
It took me some time to try these Padrons because they come off as nondescript. But there is a reason for Padron's success. I was dubious after the first 1/2 inch of the smoke because all the flavors seemed to be rushing tha palate at once. However, once I conquered this I was rewarded by a mellowing slow burn. The remainder of the cigar was of medium strength with lots of spice, leather, and toast. Once the flavors settled down the smoke was very enjoyable. The construction was good as always.

"What a value"
Smoked this after a Fuente WOAM last night, and while this cigar didn't meet that high bar, it was a great smoke nonetheless. It burnt really well, was earthy and then leathery towards the end, and is an absolute value at about $3 per stick. For me, it did get a bit harsh and smoked hot towards the conclusion, but this is the only real complaint I have with this stick. Highly recommended.

I really truely feel that the standard padron line cannot be beat when it comes to price. Absolutely fantastic smoke. Perfect draw and burn. Nice flavours. Appearance is not fantastic but I'm not buying a cigar so I can look at it. My only complaint is that alot of the padrons that I smoke have a tendency to stop burning about 2/3 through. Still not a huge problem....just relight and keep going. Excellent cigars.

At 3.3 $ a piece (directly at Padron's factory in Little Havana, Miami) this cigar is incredibly good, will 95% of the flavours of a 1964 series at 30% of the price. Appearance is so and so, but what really counts (construction, flavours) are there. Flavours in particular are great, with that black bitter chocolate twang oh so typically Padron (someone calls it charcoal...)

"Even better than I remembered"
About 3 years ago, I picked up a single Padron 2000 maduro and enjoyed it on a cold & rainy night standing on our back stoop. I recall it being a particularly nice cigar, but under the circumstances, pretty much anything would have seemed nice.
Well, I was feeling a little reminiscent and had some birthday money in my pocket and picked up a box last week. After sitting in my humi for a week, I finally had the occassion to pull one out and enjoy it. I have to say that it was, frankly, better than I remembered the first one being.
Although the appearance didn't have that same suede texture that I recalled, it did have a nice mild box press and a nice leathery maduro wrapper. As I clipped it, I noticed the construction was very firm and I was worried it might not draw well.
And although it turns out that the draw is a bit tight, it wasn't problematic or annoying at all. I detected a strong initial flavor of coffee with the first-fruit draws, but they quickly mellowed out to a very mild taste. Note: smokers who like a big, bold flavor will probably find this cigar to lack "personality". However, I found that it's personality is a pleasantly mild flavor and a very light, aromatic smoke. Unusual for a maduro, but this makes for a VERY sociable cigar (i.e., I can smoke it around my wife).
The ash was very tight and although the initial lighting did not catch evenly, the burn self-corrected to a very straight and even burn by the end of the first 1/4 inch.
I smoked it down to the band and eventually put it down. It didn't get hot, but it did start to get a little bitter on the last couple of draws.
I am glad I got the 20-box -- apart from convincing me to always have some in my humi, these will be my "social" cigars when we're entertaining. I can offer them to my occassionally-smoking friends without sending them home "green", and I can smoke them around non-smokers without too many complaints.
All in all, a great cigar, a good price, and an enjoyable experience.

What can I say I love padrons. I was looking for a robusto shape in a padron maduro. I bought this and smoked it in the shop. Very nice flavor with hint of nuts and chocolate. Great looking toothy and dark wrapper with tons of oil. Put out tons of rich nicely scented smoke and burned for a good hour. This cigar is a nice complex 45-60 min smoke. It starts out explosive then mellows out about an inch and a half in. Very nice complex flavors. One of my go to smokes along with PSD4's, and VR Famoso's. It holds up with these, as they all have such a unique flavor profile. The predominent flavors in the 2000 Maduro are Licorice, spice and chocolate. Most consistent smoke I've had.

I too am a Padron fanatic. The latest box of 2000 M's are so different and strong compared to my last boxes, I can hardly believe thet have the Padron name on them. I sure hope this isn't the beginning of decline of one of the most reliable, enjoyable and respected brands. I'm even thinking of trying other brands. Usually, I hate to let go to the point of heat burn to my fingers and tongue. With these sticks, I sometimes don't even get close to the band before I've had all I can take. "Well Made and Worth It, But Too Strong"
To me, the maduro 2000 represents power over flavor. I have always liked the Padron 3000 Maduro and thought I would get the same earthy flavor and medium-full body stregnth from the 2000 Maduro. I was wrong. The 2000 is definately in the strong smoke category. I think fans of Partagas Black and similar cigars will like the maduro 2000. It's too strong for me. This suprised me since the 3000 is a larger cigar. Why the difference in flavor is a puzzle to me. My 3000s were from an older production. Is it due to a change in tobacco blends, size difference? I can't tell. As most know, this is a quality cigar. Just not my taste.

Smoke the 4000s (maduro) and the occasional Aniversary. picked up a 5 pack of 2000s and lit the first one-- what happend? chemical taste? Young tobacco? Not aged much at all? Don't know. "Most bang for the bucks!"
Here's another hit from the padron line. My experience with this one is when it first starts up you can really taste the chocolate and spice in it till you finish one inch of it. Afterwards, it mellows down to a rich smooth smoke that lingers. This cigar have minimal after bite. It also changes flavor on the 2/3 mark and another change 2 inches left. I smoke this with a little les than an inch left and it was not hot (bitter) at all. I would have gave this a higher rank if only this padron did not go out on me three times. Thus, I gave the construction a 7. Anyhow, Overall for what it cost is less than what it's worth!

What the Padron series lacks in "packaging", it more than makes up for in quality and taste. Perfect draw and burn, a bit of a spicy start and then flavors ranging from earthy to slightly cocoa. At the going price, a nice box to add to the humidor for an every day type smoke. An excellent value!

"Padron Robusto"
The cap on this cigar was very well made which is noteworthy because in my experience Padrons typically have poor caps. All construction aspects were good. Nice finish. Wood and earth flavors.

"A padron? Half plugged?"
I still will give this one high marks based on all the great ones I've consistently had; however, beware! The unthinkable has happened! I got a plugged Padron. Not unsmokable, but a very tight draw. Anyone else lately?

"Pretty good"
Well smoking one of these right now and it is the first one of these I have had. Strong start with cocoa and spice, mellowing out into a toasty and somewhat oaky taste like strong coffee. Very strong and pleasant aftertaste on the palat. Mine burnt perfectly straight and true with a decent ash. Over all a very enjoyable smoke.

"Whuf...very nice"
The construction on this gem is excellent, with a robustly cocoa and spicy start. After a bit it turned toasty and oaky with a medium intensity and stayed that way past the band. Excellent value, excellent burn, definitely worth buying more!

"Go to cigar"
This is my second favorite Padron (just behind the 1964 Exclusivo for $12.00) For the money, the 2000M is hard to beat. Great flavor and burn...just doesn't last quite long enough. This is my go to cigar.

"good, not bad"
I received these around a month ago and was tempted to enjoy one right away but I forced myself to hold back and let them age and stabilize a little more in my humidor. The cigar had a slightly oily, medium-dark brown wrapper and overall looked quite attractive. Usually I prefer a longer cigar (i.e. the padron 3000, my current favourite) but decided to give these a try. It was a pretty solid smoke without any noticeable soft spots or lumps that took away from the overall appearance - though the cap, like many other padrons, was poorly made. There was also the tiniest crack about 2/3 up the body of the cigar from the foot but I disregarded that at first. Upon lighting the cigar, the first puff was a tad bland but the second truly delivered. It had that classic Padron taste with rich, earthy notes and I even detected slight, very slight, notes of very dark coffee - perhaps burnt a little. It was a really smooth smoke and wasn't harsh at all, even until the end - though the flavours did becomes more robust. This cigar was moderately powerful to the throat and some puffs were like taking gulps of liquid smoke. Hmm one concern. The little crack I mentioned earlier actually a big crack as I smoked this cigar (it swelled and softened a little). It didn't affect the flavour too much but it was distracting and visually unappealing. Personally, this was quite an enjoyable smoke but I definitely prefer the 3000 of this one. BTW, there was a slight aftertaste - tolerable but not the best ever.

"umm...ok"
Nice cigar, but not a great burn, fairly uneven and had to fight it the entire time. The smoke was smooth and good, great construction and taste, but not as full bodied as I expected. Towards the end was still good, but the burn really distracted me.

"Legendary"
Started out quite nice, fairly peppery initially. Mellowed out to a very pretty maduro 15 minutes in. Pretty nice construction--wrapper looked quite appetizing and came through. Good amount of smoke--not an easy draw, but far from difficult--quite rewarding, in fact. A very well balanced, well rounded, full cigar. And with the price? Legendary.

"Respectable"
The cigar showed a dark and oily maduro wrapper, but the slightly misshapen and lumpy stick felt dry and papery to the touch. It had a springy roll and looking at the foot revealed a nice mixture of filler tobaccos. Typical to Padrons, the cap was loosely attached, peeled away very easily and slipped under the cutter. The band was simple brown print on glossy paper.
A waft of burned waxed paper and a spicy bite at the first puff, but that was just a quick taste and then the real flavor punched through. Tasted good, with a hint of Virginia pipe tobacco and some green – like spruce. The cigar was full bodied and powerful, but a raw edge gave the impression of a narrow band of flavor. Lots of smoke boiled forth and the aroma was crisp and festive, like an exotic bazaar, spicy and fresh. The finish had a slightly sour note similar to pipe bite, but not too bad. The even and well paced burn was excellent.
Accompanied with a glass of ice water, this Padron lacked the complexity of the 2000s I smoked just a couple of years ago. However, towards the end I did get a more powerful impression of mocha and toasted coffee which made it end on an up note. Easy to smoke with a nice draw and a good feel.
Overall this was a good, well turned out Nicaraguan cigar. Not awesome, but respectable. Not quite as complex as I’d have liked to see, but a very good value for the money. Recommended.

well don, a ave expeced and received from 99.9% of all past Padrons....chocolateand gingerbread loose dra, burns hot at thenub, only drawbacks but padron trademarks. Got 5 spankng new 6000's --heads up these are new Torpedo's in the regular line. Theyappear to be 5.25-5.5 by 52-54, and cost me 6.75 apiece, but I got a free on extra for being a good customer. "Everyday excellence"
Bautiful looking robusto with chocolate colored maduro wrapper. One very fine vein. Toasted the foot well and it sparked up easily and evenly. Draw was perfect, all the way down. Burn was perfect as well. Nice smooth light gray ash that linked to hang around. Taste was medium with some maduro character, billows of smoke. Padron's maduro wrappers are the epitome of understated excellence without the harsh edge I get from some other manufacturers. Paired up very well with a porter. Box buy you bet.

"Excellent cigar, world-class value"
When my Padron 2000 Maduros first arrived, I couldn't wait to smoke one. The first was very good, but I thought I'd let the rest age a bit before passing judgment. Now, they've grown to be an excellent smoke. Upon first light up, I got a strong hit of flavor, like knocking back an espresso in one gulp. Not the full coffee flavor, per se, but a full blast of great, strong flavor. After about half an inch or so, it transitioned into light pepper/spice for a while, then came back to a light but distinct toasted coffee flavor with traces of sweetness, staying consistent all the way down to the nub--never a trace of bitterness or harshness. Burn and draw were both excellent, with a strong ash as well. The appearance is quite nice, although not quite as perfect as the Padron Anniversaries I have in the humidor. But then the 2000 costs only about a third as much. With a 50 ring, this is a touch bigger than I prefer. I have a fistful of Maduro Padron Delicias aging in the humi, and at a ring size of 46 they are my preferred size. I hope they turn out to be just as good. If they aren't, the 2000 will convert me to the ranks of Robusto smokers.

"Awesome value, cigar!"
Feel and look great. Construction's only problem lies in the cap as all these seem to share. Flavor fantastic, starts out kinda quiet and assuming and then turns very spicy very quick. Medium body. I only rate this cigar so high because this is probably among the best 2 or 3 cigars I smoke and it's under 4 bucks if you buy by the box. Just spectacular value. A wonderful overall experience that makes me a hardcore fan of padron's. If you like nicaraguan tobacco at all this is probably the best. If you like super strong cigars you'll probably like a cuban better. But give it a go, it's awesome.
