Overall good blend of flavors. Padrons are above average for the price anyway, but the maduro 4000 beats the ordinarily high quality.

The newest of the Padron stock line at 6.5x54 is a long toro size cigar. It is very light-bodied and less flavorful than the 3000's but is a good cigar that delivers good performance and gobs of smoke.

"Wonderful"
I got a fiver of this cigar and stored it for 3 weeks before lighting one. I have to say this cigar was a very pleasant smoke. Mild with tons of flavors that just gets better as you smoke it. The flavors were very consistence of nuts and hint of creamy chocolate. Burn was razor sharp and ash was firm and near white. I will smoke another one again after 3 months to make a final judgment but for now, 2 thumbs up!

"Nice"
Left these in my humidor for about 3 months upon reading reviews here which said these needed to be aged. No complaints here. Draw was a little tight at first, loosened up after the first 1/4-1/3 burned. Flavor very nice. Burned evenly. Nice wrapper. Lots of smoke of course after the inital tightness. Good standby if all else fails.

"First review"
Tasted great, with nice volume of smoke, but the draw was a bit too tight even at 64%rh. Nice, toothy wrapper. Burned straight and even with a nice white ash that held on for about an inch at a time. This was milder than the 2000 in taste, body, and nicotine (surprising for a larger cigar). I have four more, will wait a while and see if draw opens up. Good for the price.

"Great smoke, great value!"
I've smoked the 3000, 4, 5, and 6 maduro. They are all very well made, with wonderful Padron qualities of draw and flavor. Like other reviewers, I agree that aging these cigars brings out their best. Give them 4-6 months in good humidification and you will not be disappointed!

"good 2nd"
2nd cigar of the day. Not strong flavor wise. One of the most gentle maduro I've had. Unexpectedly gentle cigar, but very good. The draw was excellent. The cigar looked kind of crooked but was a dream! Flavor absent but clouds of smoke that didn't burn the palate or leave an aftertaste. Could smoke these all day. Intangibles!!!

I bought one of these yesterday and smoked it last night. Full flavor with a mix of roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavor was better than a Padron 1964 but it was not quite as smooth. Burn was a little uneven but not bad. Lasted an hour and a half. Very good cigar for the money.

"Not bad, but wasn't terrific"
I toasted the end of this with great anticipation of the upcoming smoke, I've heard nothing but good of Padron's, and was expecting good things. I have to say I was slightly disappointed. It burned unevenly, canoing badly to one side, making the last third un-smokable, and causing it to burn a little hot. The flavor was nice and smooth however, and I'm sure the churchill I picked up for my Christmas eve smoke will impress me. Also, I should have aged it a little in the humi, coming straight from the cello from the store may have influenced my experience.

"very interesting smoke"
I never had a cigar that tasted like this before. Started out with tons of spice which dissipated to a medium body on the second third and picked up again to a full bodied last third. Definitely chocolaty undertones but not like I've ever tasted in another cigar that I would describe as chocolate. Give it a shot!

"Strong and tasty"
As with pretty much all of the Padrons this is a very good cigar...with a cap that falls off. Oh well. Who cares. It is smooth, earthy and toasty with light maduro overtones. Occasional spicy and leathery bits show up in the middle, and it is smooth and tasty to the nub. Hard to argue against this cigar for value and quality.

Looks great, and felt like a well made cigar. Light nice, and stayed in one piece all the way down. Quite strong, but very smooth. Great peppery flavour all the way through. Didn't chage much throughout, got kinda mild in the middle; but didn't need to as the flavour was great to start. Great smoke but on the expensive side.

"Ugly stick, great taste."
Very rustic wrapper and appearance. Lumpy, bumpy and just plain rough looking. First couple of puffs were harsh then mellowing to a med-full and captivating smoke. Very nice flavors of coffee and sweet leather develop after an inch. Not your typical maduro, it's a Padron, which means quality if not good looks. Burned a little sideways near 2 inches and picked up steam in the flavor/body department. It held up well in all areas of enjoyment.

Bought a few of these at my local just to try them out. Wow, a very fine and solid smoke! I'm not going to get technical on the description, but I can tell you that everything from the pre-light to the nub was perfect. Excellent flavor complexity. Spicy yet smooth smoke. This stick is now on top of my favorites list. A box is right around the corner.

"Top Flight"
Bought this stick from Serious Cigar, just to try one. When I unwrapped the cigar, the chocolate smell was fantastic, the prelight draw also tasted of chocolate. The construction was great, this smoke had the best draw that I have had in a cigar. The burn was decent, even though it did burn a little crooked a few times. Each time, the burn self corrected and presented no problem. The smoke flavor was mostly chocolate, with a little cedar and the finish was spicey with some leather. Overall this cigar is superb.

This continues to be my "go to" smoke. I always try to keep a couple in the humidor and I ahve yet to have any issues with them. Very consistent, easy draw and huge volumes of rich smoke. There are hints of leather, pepper, cocoa, coffee and spice in each one I have smoked. I have been buying by the stick locally, but it is time to buy a box to have around.

"Better than prozak"
Just had to light this one up because I can't stand to have a good cigar sit in the humidor especialy when I am feeling down, better than prozak. Great construction, volumes of white creamy smoke, slightly uneven burn, enough nicotine to make me walk into walls, great dark choclate flavor mixed with some cedary spice, a littl ehot at the finish but for the price I awlays have a couple in the humidor for the times I need a pick me up. If you havn't smoked a Padron yet you are missing out on the cream of the crop cigars, way better than any cuban I have smoked including a couple cohibas'.

"Highly recommended"
Very pleasant 90 minute plus smoke. Usually very easy draw and large volume of smoke, although less so if the box has just been opened. Best to leave in humidor for no less than a week before smoking. If you're buying a single at a cigar store, pick one that feels on the soft side. Medium earthy flavor with hints of pepper. Rarely require relighting. Nice big size. I prefer the Maduro, but the Natural's good too. No better cigar of its type for the price.

"the long night"
I must say this was a good smoke to have on a long night. The overall appearance was very nice with a some what veiny brown wrapper that had lots of oil to it. The cap construction was good and cut with no bits hanging out. The foot lit ok and had a crumbly salt and pepper ash. The construction was ok with this cigar yet it had some dead spots that had to be relit. The taste was medium and had notes of some peppery wood and was a little salty on the finish all in all a good smoke for a long night.

"Can't go wrong..."
with the 4000, especially after a hefty dinner. Nice thick cigar -- much thicker than most double coronas. Dark and silky leaf. Does have some construction issues: kind of unravels at the top after cutting it and is at times veiny. However, these small flaws didn't affect my experience or burn, so I really don't care. I really don't know if it's me, but these bad boys are much more full-bodied than a few years ago (a good thing). Typical coffee and dark chocalte Padron flavor, but it gets earthier towards the end. And yes, LOTS of smoke which usually fills up my entire car! One of my most consistent go-to smokes for years past...and to come.

"Now THIS is a cigar!"
The flavor, the prelight aroma, the feel in hand-Padrons are simply excellent cigars. But the one thing that I find consistantly with Padron cigars is the wonderfull draw and huge volumes of creamy smoke. Never burns hot, exceptionally consistant. Med-full bodied. I only smoke the Maduros in Padron.

"Powerful and tasty"
Nice, strong smoke. Toothy, dark brown dry wrapper with small veins. Somewhat soft in the distal 1/3, but otherwise solid. Easy light. Burned a little hot at first with a bold pepper bite. Smoothed out and transitioned into dark chocolate, burnt espresso, and leather in the first half. At the halfway mark, the dominant note bcame a strong cedary flavor that reminded me of a Fonseca Serie F Robusto. Spicy and complex the whole way down. Defiitely had some kick, with enough Vitamin N to give me a little headspin, though I also made the mistake of smoking it on an empty stomach - something I would not recommend. Tons of billowy white smoke and a flaky gray ash. All in all, a bold, tasty smoke that lasted just over an hour. Would pair well with any scotch or single barrel Bourbon. Would smoke after a meal for sure. Very nice. I'm pretty tough on my ratings, in general, but I enjoyed this stick. Has its place in my rotation. Bought a box.

"Go with the 3000 Maduro"
I was hoping that these would be like the 3000 Maduro series, but longer- no quite. As with all of the Padron's the cap is poorly constructed, but the shaft is a lovely dark maduro color. Smells very similiar to the 3000M, but the taste, maybe just this year's batch, is just not there. The taste was much rougher than the regualr Padron, but in fairness to the 4000M the draw was quite good. I have switched back to the 3000M and will wait to next year's batch to try again.
