This is a good cigar, but I certainly don't understand what all the fuss is about. I can't say that the flavor is any better than any of the havanas that I've had. In fact, I like the Excaliburs a lot more than this. At maybe half the price, I could th

This is a great smoke for the price. I would put it up against many cigars that sell for twice the price.

"Mediocre Price, Mediocre Cigar"
This cigar had a decent draw while I was smoking, although it burned rather inconsistently. It had a pretty harsh start, though it mellowed out some about a 1/3 of the way through. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't buy it again.

"Okay Londres"
The make of the cigar is very rough. The cigar starts out very harsh, almost unsmokable. More than a 1/3 into the cigar the flavor changes dramatically. They become much more smokeable and even a little enjoyable. However, the consistency of flavor from start to finish is very drastic. Finally, you can't draw to hard on these cigars or you will burn your tongue. In other words, it's an okay cigar. Personally, if you want a cheap stick buy a JR alternative and sit on them for a couple of months. You will have a muchbetter smoke.

"good price"
Picked up two of these for 5 bucks and decided to test them out. Not too bad, was waiting for something more but it didn't seem to happen. Can't really beat the price though, would probably smoke again if I went broke...

"A bad Londres"
The construction of these is kind of pitiful. They are rough looking and the cap could use some work, but don't let that deter you. This one smelled earthy and somewhat nutty before smoking with a tight draw (but not too tight). After lighting the flavors of earth and nuts were enjoyed for a little while. Then about halfway down the stick, things went bad. I'm not sure how to describe it other than bad. I have had some of these that were really good, some that were okay, and this one today was bad. But I won't give up on them yet.....not at this price. I'll try and rate it again next time I light one up.

"Consistently Inconsistent"
These cigars are so inconsistent. Aging them longer doesn't seem to be the answer. So why do I keep smoking Padron Londres?? Well for one reason they are a great value, even if only two of a five pack turn out good, you still make out. The burn usually is not the problem it's the inconsistency of the flavor. Still this ONE was quite tasty. Since I rated the one that tasted grassy in 2006, I'll rate the more flavorful one today.

"great"
Padron, oh Padron, definitely one of the top cigar makers on the planet. The Londres is one of the best coronas out there. Nice even burn, well made, though the wrapper is a bit rough, they must use the lower quality wrapper leaves for this, as the corona vitola is not as popular as it used to be. Flavourwise it is top notch. Medium bodied, earthy, cedary, and smooth. A GREAT value and a great cigar!

Good, but not as good as the maduro londres. Medium strength without a touch of harshness.

"Great value"
Average appearance, great construction . . . but lacking complexity and flavor, especially compared to the londres maduro, which has a marvelous sweetness to it. Perfect burn and a nice woody flavor were very consistant through the four of these I've smoked. Still, a very good cigar that's hard to beat for the $2.50 londres go for. The maduros, though, are top notch. I will let the last one of these naturals I have rest for a year to see if it improves as others have suggested.

"Excellent Smoke!!"
The initial appearance of this cigar is not that great. There were some veins and the wrapper as a hole did not look smooth. However, once lit this cigar was very easy to draw and produced huge amounts of spicy, flavorful smoke. This cigar gave a decent buzz as well.

"$2.25 Anniversario !!!"
As I have previously stated in my other Padron reviews, these "standard line" Padron's compare quite favorably with the Anniversary line, when well aged. However, the maduros hold onto their flavors much longer than the naturals. Not the prettiest corona, a bit rustic looking. Some thin, but protruding veins. This has gotten mild in the seven years aging, since I bought the box. Although fairly mild, its a smooth and still quite fulfilling texture of smoke. Very good construction and burn. Leather overtones and traits of nuts, coffee, and cocoa. A very light undertone of bread dough. The flavors picked up drastically around 1/3 into the burn. However, I still think I actually may have over-aged these natural coronas! Next box of naturals, I will let rest about 2 1/2 years, and smoke them up over that next year or so. I have about 10 sticks left in this box. I will smoke about 7 or 8 in the next few months, and let the other 2 or 3 sticks sit for about 5 more years, and let's see what develops. Maybe they will make some kind of turn around in flavor. So stay tuned. I will review another one of these Padron londres in about 5 more years!

"Inconsistent!"
I feel like Forest Gump. You never know what you'll get... with the Londres. The first one I smoked, I thought man this is a great gar! I liked the box-pressed feel in my mouth and it was tasty. Well then came three stinkers, and yes they are the same cigar. Finally, the last two I smoked were good and great respectively. You just don't know. So I'll try and rate it, but I won't buy any more.

"Great Value!"
I just happenned to stumble upon the Padron when a man at the local cigar store recommended it to me. I had been searching for a while to try to find a good, well-made, even-burning maduro, that had a good smooth flavor to match. The Padron is definately it. I was surprised at it's richness. It's flavor has slight hints of spice and chocolate, but it's not enough to make you sick. It's appearance is a little rough but I believe that it adds to this cigars uniqueness. This is a perfect blend of construction, flavor, and value!

"That's a Good Cigar"
Very well constructed with an even burn to match. I would strongly recomend this cigar as a social smoke. It's aroma is very pleasing with a little depth to it's flavor but very unique for a maduro. This is a must have in any humidor!

"Utterly Mediocre."
Beautifully constructed. Great draw and burn. Very handsome. It was a bit harsh fr the first half inch. Then it mellowed out and was completely unremarkable in every way until about 2/3 the way through. Then, some nice flavor kicked in for about three puffs and it went sour. I put this one down decently before the band. Having adored a 1964 just a few nights ago, maybe I was expecting too much from a $5 smoke, but it's flavor just did not match it's terrific looks. In this price bracket, I've had far better from LGC.

"Not what I expected, but Very good!"
So I ordered a 16 oz of their French Roast, added some sugar. Real nice coffee. Somewhat strong but nice and smooth.
Some pre-light ideas about my Padron. The last Padron I had smoked (was also my first) was a 3000 Maduro. I had heard rave reviews on this smoke but I was dissapointed. This Londres was sort of rough looking construction wise. Veiny and had some bruises on the wrapper. I was afraid that I had gotten a dud given its looks.
I punched it and took a prelight draw. Wow, totally different taste than the Maddie 3000. Sweet hay type flavour. I really liked it and was hoping that my smoking experience would be similar.Well...I was not dissapointed. This smoke had a nice sweet taste to it. I would say it was mild/medium. Very smooth, with nice, creamy white smoke. The draw was nice and easy. Not tight at all, yet not too loose. There was a good amount of smoke with each draw.
The sweet flavour lasted through the first half. Nice and consistent flavour through the first half. At the half-way point the flavour became a bit charry, but a few purges and a half inch later it became sweet again. The last two inches the smoke became a bit hot, but some spice kicked in. Good flavour still. The hot smoke is to be expected with such a small rg cigar. The thing burnt very straight despite my construction worries. Very good burn.
Very good value and highly recommended.

"Very unique"
This cigar has strange smelling wrapper and filler. The smell is good, but undefinable and strong. About 1/4 of this smoke is a bit peppery, but not supposed to be harsh as some have described. It mellows out to a mid bodied cigar that is smooth, somewhat complex with a nice hint of cocoa. If you have had a bad experience with this one, it was a bad batch. I have heard from a regular londres smoker that he has purchased a couple boxes that would gag a maggot. Try again later! The good batches are superb.

"Good Flavour."
Some have noticed this cigar to be a little on the tough side during the first half, true. Although not pronounced I will say the second half more than makes up for it in complexity. Above average for price and great for a quick smoke.

"Not bad"
Uniformly toasty and a bit earthy, this cheap stick has most of the same tones as the regular Padron line. The downside is the kinda crappy burn and lack of the smoothness of the rest of the production. But as a medium-fill $2 cigar it's not too bad. I'd rather smoke a $3.40 2000M any day though.

"A Complete Let Down"
After smoking numerous Padron 2000's I decided I would save some change and try this one. I bought around 4, from different suppliers, and I must say I ended up throwing each of them away about 3/4 of the way through. Left a horrible taste in my mouth. I tried to find anything positive because I love the Padron line but was completely let down by this one. Never again. Stick with my choice (the 2000).

"disappointingly average"
This is an average cigar, not at all what I expected from such a renowned manufacturer. The burn was even, but the taste was harsh and dry. I was frankly disappointed. For the money, CAO, and Punch both make much better “stock” cigars. I guess Padron is focusing so much attention on the specialty (read high $) cigars that the common lines are getting sub standard tobacco.

A cigar that easilly lives up to it's name and reputation. A slightly dry wrapper but an excellent smoke. A distinct mild spice flavour that carries through the entire cigar. Complexity increases towards the end.

"Hmmm"
The overall impression of this smoke was not good. The construction was average, but the cap was so small it barely was identifiable as the cap. The burn was uneven during the first half of the smoke. The flavor was unimpressive and the finish was lacking. This would be an average $1.50 smoke...maybe.
