This was prabably the best cigar I have ever had next to Cuban cohiba. The taste was slighly cedared, slightly spicy, but well rounded and the after finsih was like that of the best pipe tobacco. It's aparent that it was well aged. This was a padron An

These are often tightly wrapped, producing a steady burn and firm draw. I smoke em slow to keep them from getting hot. 40 mins or so, produces a high bang for the buck medium body, medium flavor smoke.

"delicious"
This stick was my first Padron Maduro and what a treat it was, prelight aroma was kind of nutty and quite pleasing to the nose.Easy draw with loads of sweet chocolatey smoke that was more on the medium side. The wrapper was dark and perfect looking (nice and smooth)and the ash was quite firm and held for at least 2 inches. Will definately smoke these again.

"A tasty maduro"
The cigar had okay appearance, which is typical of the Londres. The construction was good. The draw was a little loose, but the cigar did not need any touching up. The burn was even most of the time and when it wasn't it quickly caught back up. The prelit aroma was nutty and chocolate. The flavors were very similar. This is a good smoke at a great price.

"One of my favorites"
Having just recently (within the past 2 years) started to smoke Padron, I have found that the maduro wrapper line is better than the natural. This cigar keeps well in a standard humidor, and I always have a supply now handy. It has become a favorite of mine. The Londers size is perfect for a satisfying smoke.

For an inexpensive smoke, this is the best so far. Well constructed, nice blend of flavors, coffee's, as SmokeSalmon87 reports, with just a hint of cream. Even burn and good smoke production with just the right amount of draw. Highly recommended.

"Good Value"
I am new to cigars, but so far Padrons have become my favorite company. I picked up 2 Londres Maduros, at a great price. The appearance on these is rough, some bumps and a few veins, but easy to look past for the $3 price point. The taste was mostly coffee, hints of bittersweet chocolate. It also became a little woody halfway through. It had burn problems after ashing, but they eventually corrected (thankfully, as I was out of matches). It extinguished itself with about 2 inches left. The draw was absolutely perfect the whole way, loose but not sloppy with clouds of white smoke. I think this is a good cigar for the money, it did have burn problems but I'm hoping that it was just this one cigar. I have another in the humi that I plan on letting sit a while longer and I will give an updated review. Now if I can just find some '64's...

"Not great, but not bad."
I can't knock Padrons in their construction. They are, for the most part, nearl always impeccable. The appearance on this was a little rough and the re-light aroma was very chocolatey. It was medium/full bodied smoke, but this is where I had the problem... The flavor was completely one-dimensional and was an earthy/spicy flavor that just never developed. Everything else about the smoke was great, but I was a little let down by this. Although, the super-low pricetag makes this an unbelievable value. So, again...not great, but not bad.

"power to padron"
i enjoy this cigar almost three times a week for the value this is a great cigar as with any padron i slipped it off to a buddy whom say he is a cigar experte i told him it was a 16 dollar high end cigar. (he wouldnt have smoked it if i told him it cost me 3 bucks) he enjoyed it so much he told me he had to have more! ha! i could have made some money but instead told him they were actually on three bucks...he went out and bought a box the NEXT DAY!! ha! i enjoy padron and agree that nicaraguan cigars are rivaling those of Cuba! the only complaint i had to was the appearance, however it is a handmade and takes care of that through taste and even smoke..for those of you that are catching a "harsh taste" within the first 1/4 inch try and light it with a cedar stick that should take care of the problem

"perhaps one of the best deals"
I just finished this cigar maybe 15 minutes ago, and I must say I am very impressed. First impressions of the construction were good. The wrapper started to unravel a bit when i cut it but im not going to blame the cigar because i cut it with a cheap cutter. The burn was very even and it corrected itself every time it began to sway. The smoke was almost blue and the progression of the taste was very interesting. Like most people said the first 1/4 of an inch was almost harsh (nothing a little more aging wouldn't take care of i imagine) and up until the first ash the taste was coffee with wood. Till the second break it was like cappachino, the third, expresso. Coffee all the way. After the first 1/4 it was never harsh all the way till i couldn't hold it. I suggest a good puff about every 20-30 seconds delivers the best taste, any more than that and it starts to get a little sulfur taste to it. I would go as far to say that it is the Rocky Patel Vintage of the corona. Honestly I would pay twice as much for the thing but luckly I don't have to.

"Decent Padron"
Well the appearance was somewhat lacking as is the case with almost all Padron's cigars. But when you haven't smoked in a while and you find some time to burn one you can't go wrong with a Padron. This cigar had dark flavors, which is quite a nebulous phrase but that's as best as I can describe it. The flavor profile was different than most other Padrons, but it was a nice change of pace. Good burn.

I've smoked 2 of these, the first one i smoked was sabotaged by a friend i had lit it and smoked about an inch, and i went to go to that bathroom, and i came back and they had lit the cap...yeah, after i doctored and began smoking it again the taste was not what i expected i could really taste the ash even though i cut it off, but it was good enough i finished it, so i rushed out and got another, and it was a perfect cigar, nice draw, great taste, padrons have a taste all their own IMHO, and i love them

"Too Windy"
Gave this Nicaraguan a try while in the hot tub today. It was a breezy day so this really wasn't a fair trial. That said, I was happy with most of the experience.
I saw it written in someone's review that these cigars, unlit, smelled a bit like horse manure. I must say that I have to agree! LOL I suppose one could say that they have an organically rich smell but horse manure is a closer description. It's not a bad smell if you like horses and in any case it's really very mild and no big deal anyway. Lopsided cap was uncharacteristic. The prelight aroma was one of the things lost to the breeze. The light was even and the initial burn was just what it should be. First third flavors were mild and I had to really concentrate to find the notes of cedar and roasted nut that were there. Again, the breeze was a factor in this. Burn was exceptional. Second third was a bit more flavorful with a tightening draw that I am beginning to consider characteristic of this ring size. I found that if I increased the intensity of my draw the smoke, flavor and burn were very good. Last third was excellent as always: Peppery, hot and dry. The burn was excellent end to end, including the four minute rest in the ashtray (also outside in the breeze) while I dried off and went inside to take a leak. A great value that may turn out to be my daily smoke.

"smell awful but smoke fine"
A customer gave me one this afternoon so I decided to smoked it after work at my shop. Before lightning it, I placed in near my noses and sniff at it and it smell kinda of like horse manure. God I thought to myself, this is going to be a bad cigar. Suprised... it was actually not bad... not a complex cigar but reasonable flavor. I decided to look into the price of this cigar and was even more impressed. A box for under $60. hmm...

While buying a box of 2000's and 3000's I picked up a box of these on a whim. Price was right and I wanted another box that was cheap. Not as peppery as the other two but the Padron flavor was there. Excellent burn and draw as every Padron that I've had. A good half hour to 40 minute smoke. Very good value.

For me, this is a good everyday cigar that is affordable. Great value. Very consistent construction (have had no problem cigars and I am well into a second box in addition to many singles prior to that over the past few months). Near perfect draw. Even burn. Medium strength. Not very complex, but favorful, and not at all offensive. An excellent cigar, without the high price tag. Recommended.

"Terrible"
I'm sorry, I just don't see why this cigar is so highly rated. Maybe my pallete isn't as refined as everyone elses but for me this is the worst cigar I have ever smoked. I bought one because I've heard so many good things about Padron. But if this is an indication of the rest of their line, then no thanks. Of course, I could have just had a bum cigar. Maybe I'll try again once I've built up the nerve to potentially abuse my taste buds again.

"Not bad"
As a medium-fill Padron this maduro version is pretty decent. It's much better than the natural one, with spicy maduro overtones over the standard earthy/toasty Padron flavor. The downside is the lack of complexity, kinda crummy ash and mediocre burn. But not bad for $2.

"Excellent Cigar"
I bought one of these at my local smoke shop while picking out a variety of smokes just to try. When I got to this cigar I was impressed with the very dark wrapper and the obvious quality construction. As I smoked it I was impressed with the sweet taste and full body of the cigar. As the smoke progressed it got more spicy and but never over powering. Kept a hint of the maduro sweetness throughout. It burned evenly and I was able to smoke it nearly to the nub. Since that first one, I have made this a must buy every trip to the shop. I will be buying a box but even at the retail price of a single it is well under $4.00 a stick. This is one of my favorites and it is better than a lot of $10.00 smokes I have had. I highly recommend this cigar for taste and its price tag. Just outstanding.

"Padron Londres Maduro"
I am a bit biased as I have smoked the padron thousand series for a while and enjoyed the hell out of them. This cigar is just as good. The only criticism I have comes from the fact that they are slim. If you are into the thin ring guage you will love em. The nice thing about the londres is that they don't get hot as many other small ring guage cigars do. This is a nice lunch break smoke. The flavor was rich the burn was good. They don't have the power of the thousand series but they also don't have as much tobacco in them.

Picked up one of these at the cigar shop to try out. I was not dissapointed. It had to be the softest (maybe mushiest) cigar I have tried yet, but the experience left me wanting another. "Not a bad little smoke"
Flavor started out pretty bland. However, I was pleasantly suprised as I kept smoking and it kept improving. This cigar went from being a sure fire "tried and now I can move on" to a cigar that I will be having again in the future. Do not give to friends unless they are patient smokers willing to get through the first 1/2 inch. Good smoke, nice spicy flavor, and averagely even burn. Ash looked a bit loose but, I had about 1 1/2 inches of ash before I lost it. The cigar was softer to the touch than any other but, did not burn as fast as this might lead you to believe. "excellent value smoke"
For the price paid, you cant beat this quick little smoke. Having bought a box of these smaller cigars, I was impressed with the overall quality, something that I come to expect from Padron. There was one that I found to be slightly lumpy, which I smoked first. The burn on this cigar was slightly uneven, and the cigar started out slightly harsh. 1/3 of the way, it became very mellow, and began to give off some of the traditional Padron flavor. The end was surprisingly cool, and maintained excellent flavor until 1.5 inches left (I tried to smoke as far as a could) Overall, a great cigar, and something that will not break the pocketbook when giving something away to friends.

"Not as good as the others"
While I love what Padron did with the 2000, 3000 and other series cigars, they went a little south on the Londres. For the price you cannot beat it. But, the little cigar is packed too tightly and the ash "penciled" out and made for a tight draw. The flavor wasn't as complex has the bigger brothers in the family. But, the Padron flavor was still there.
