"not that impressed"
Purchased this in the DR in a five pack. Everything looked real not a fake, It had about 3-4 months of aging in the humidor. I wasn't blown away it was ok. it wasn't bad but ok. I think my palette likes the very strong smokes and this was not one but ok.

This is a very nice cigar to smoke.Very nice flavors and a flawless burn. One of my favorites.I have about 10 of these left and looking forward to them all.I havent had a bad one yet and they seem to be a very consistant smoke. If you come across them give it a try you will not be disapointed.

"Excellent - one of the best"
The best Partigas I've had. Smoked it down to the very end. Mild bodied.

"Strong!"
This dark, leathery and mottled cigar would never win a beauty contest. Its maduro wrapper was marred with veins, holes, and a white spot that could have been glue. The sides were straight but the foot bulged a bit like the bell of a trumpet and it bore a flat, even triple cap. The earthy pre light aroma had a slightly sweet and spicy character, and once the cap was clipped the clean draw tasted of anise. The cigar was heavy and had a nice springy feel to it.
The initial flavor was woody with a background of dark fruit. The papery finish had a familiar flavor. Years ago on dove hunts we would sometimes build a small campfire of fallen cottonwood branches at night, and the finish carried the taste of that wood smoke. The cigar burned straight and the gray ash was firm, and when tapped it left a medium cone that glowed in the darkness. The cigar had a tendency to burn hot and I found myself having to pace my puffs. The lovely aroma it exuded was sweet and exotic, like tobacco incense.
The lurking fruitiness helped me select a glass of apple juice to accompany the smoke and the two got along famously. About halfway through the flavor gave a strong impression of canned peaches. Medium strong with Honduran overtones, the flavor of the cigar kept trying to break out but never really distinguished itself. It began to burn a bit unevenly in the second half, but never distractingly so. A quiet hissing and popping accompanied each draw. I enjoyed the cigar on the front porch and the chirping of frogs and the rushing of the creek below provided a lyrical soundtrack for the hour we spent together.
Overall this was a pleasant cigar. Although somewhat flat, the flavor was strong and kept evolving. The cigar reminded me of a Belinda I once smoked while strolling along 6th Avenue in New York. Recommended.

"Awesome!!"
Box code ECA AGO 02. This is a blockbuster. Plenty of smoke, full bodied, strong, complex, each flavor stands out yet blends each other. Also, it would even improve after a year or two. Price is reasonable, too. A must try!!

"rumors are true!"
surprising taste (and strength) packed into in a 46 ringer. Oddly, the flavor immediately reminded me of a great steak with a little A1 sauce (that's a good thing, veggies).

This cigar is going to develop into one of the best cigars from Cuba. I can't wait to see what 5 years will do on this cigar.

"Blockbuster"
The wrapper was very nice with no dicernable imperfections and perfect triple cap. The draw was a little bit tight, but not unacceptable. Initially the flavor was dry and toasty with some sweet carmel notes that gave way to some floral flavors. The second half is where this cigar really kicked up the power and flavor. Where the first half was definatly medium boddied, the second have was decidedly full boddied. Bursting with spice and strength, I had to sit down to finish this cigar.

"A fine cuban"
I loved this smoke, even burn, good construction smoke that those not smoking enjoyed the smell of. Complex full smoth flavor that did not go sour even when i sucked it down to the nub.

"The best all day cigar"
While in Havana I met a guy who writes cigar reviews and he was swearing by this cigar.
I usually do not care about other’s opinion when it comes to the matter of taste, it is so subjective, period! But in this particular instance I could not disagree with him, this is a great cigar. One can smoke it all day long and never get tired of it. It is so complex, tasty and flavorful, that every time you smoke it with another drink you have completely different experience. It kind of adjusts itself to the taste of your booze. I loved it best with Cuban Rom. In the world of Cigars, Cuba is the King!

"Nearly perfect"
One of the very best cigars I've ever smoked - if not the best. I've only smoked two out of the box, but construction on both was incredible. Dead even burn, light-medium gray ash, heavenly draw. Flavor is complex, somewhat floral and totally enjoyable. I could smoke this cigar every day and never tire of it.

"A great, must have cigar"
A true connoisseur cigar, especially ones who prefer Cuban tobacco. This is probably the best vitola Partagas has recently made. Give this baby another 6 to 12 of aging and it will become a classic. The cigar I smoked came from the box dated July 2002, after nestling for 4 months in my humidor and it is just great!

"Great first half..and great potential."
This cigar was fantastic with a dark oily taste for the first half. It faltered during the latter parts, but with some age will be a keeper.
