"Right up there"
Nice oily wrapper, excellect construction and even burn. Mix of light spice and grass. Strong but smooth -not too overwhelming.

"Hold On Tight"
I bought three of these from a local merchant a few months back, and upon closer inspection I suspected they might be fakes. I decided to try one out on a Friday afternoon to make sure. The fact that the wrapper and overall appearance is rough does not exactly set high expectations for this cigar. Once I got this puppy started, it did not disappoint. Unless you age these for at least an additional year in your humidor, you are in for a bull ride. The flavor was very similar to the Serie D. No 4, just a bit stronger all around. The darker wrapper should have been a tip off. Despite the less than stellar appearance, this thing drew like a dream and burned relatively straight. If you enjoy the flavors and power of the other Serie D. line cigars, chances are that this will be a very enjoyable smoke. I have very little doubt that these will be magnificent with another year or two of aging.

"Strong & Stronger"
In a word... Strong! This is the strongest Cuban I have ever smoked. I bought 2 of these in a sampler pack along with Cohibas, Montes etc. This was by far the strongest and I am a pretty seasoned cigar smoker. For those who love a heavy duty tasting cigar, run out and get some if you can find them!

"great"
It was a gift from a merchant, but it looked bad becuase it had been handled too much, with the wrapper even slightly unraveled. However, when I smoked it, I was very surprised: a strong partagas like I love them, with all the right flavours and the right strength. Great construction, despite apparent bad look. A great thing. PS I just indicate the price this cigar is regularly sold at in Europe

"Dark and alluring with power to spare"
My samples had a very dark maduro wrapper that was wrinkled and coarse. Solidly rolled, these burn well and release tons of spicy smoke. A winner for Partagas, I just wish they were prettier.

"Excellent"
I have smoked two of this now and they were both wonderful. Beautiful dark wrapper. easy draw with lots of smoke. Great D serie Partagas flavor. I have heard the early releases before they ran out were better. If so I would have liked to try one as I am buying a box of these soon

"well aged, as advertised"
the cigars are only 3 months old (box dated 0803), this is definitely a well aged cigar, as all ELs are suppose to be. best wrapper i have seen on cuban in a long time. just right combination of body, flavor and aroma. ashes stay long, not flaky. great cigar.

"Very Enjoyable"
Starts off with uncharacteristic smoothness about 1/4 down. Then bounces back with the strength and spicyness we've all come to love from Partagas. About 3/4 down, intense spices will envelope your senses, which is excellent if you enjoy spicyness. I however do not really prefer overly spicy cigars, so I had to extinguish it shortly after the 3/4 mark.

I must say however, it truly is an excellent smoke. Aging should make this cigar unbelievable.
