"Pretty good"
A well balanced cigar with an earthy taste and of burned sugar.

"Unreal cigar"
Easily has a place among the best cigars I've ever smoked. Starts off with strong tobacco and cedar and develops an amazing liquor-like finish toward the middle, cinnamon and spice toward the end. One minor touchup to the burn. What a memorable smoke. Very cost-prohibitive for a workin' stiff like me though. 🙁

"Does it get any better"
This will become a classic if it hasn't already. Buy em if you can find them. VERY difficult to find intact and genuine. Smooth, complex and delicious.

"An Awesome smoke"
Haven't been a big fan of many of the EL cigars but have had good experience with a few of the R&J. Cohiba (Sublime & DC), and Partagas.
Smoked this one on graduation day from B-School. A great celebratory cigar with very good balanced flavors.

"Most precious"
I can only confirm the deserved points for this one. Bought a box in casa del habano andorra this summer, 10 euro's a piece, and smoked 2 till now. Yesterday was heaven, got a new job and than its time for celebration. The draw, its coolness, the partagas flavour, its looks, the almost black wrappers... mellow, not a strong cigar but I don't mind. It's just my most precious in my humi. Leave for cuba in november, will look for best DC's to buy (probably will be RA gigantes) a box of cohiba's (maybe genios, or robustos) and something special (8-9-8 or con 1, montecristo especial) sir winstons probably too. Will be an expensive trip 😉

"Toro, toro!!"
What a fab smoke. I usually dont give OTT reviews but this deserves it. A fantastic cigar all round. Its very similar to the 898 Varnished but on such a grander scale. Longer lasting, fuller, earthy flavour and nice and cool due to the large gauge. Fabulous

"Sensual and macho"
Oily maduro wrapper, full body, earthy, spicy and animal notes till the end. The draw is easy due to the ring size. better when aged 2 years or more. Suave and strong at the same time not for begginers.

"ok"
This was one of the early production boxes. Dark cocoa and hints of spice. clearly partagas flavor. Great wrapper. Had a run in my smoke that corrected. Overall, it was above average. Price was acceptable.

"Excellent cigar"
I liked this even better than the 2001 Serie D # 3. Will probably be even better with more aging. Very flavorful. Partigas is my 2nd favorite Cuban.

"Pretty solid"
I hate the wrappers .... toothy, slightly mottled, and thick. The taste is very nice, the construction great although I had to relight in the last 2 inches. One of the back of the humidor to retry in 5 years.

"Wonderful Cigar"
Just a very solid cigar. Great Partigas flavor with the El's perks. Consturction perfect with a wonderful flavor. The only reason I did not go as high as the Sublime is that this cigar lacks just a bit of complexity. Still a great smoke

"Great, soon to be phenomonal"
Awesome flavors, and will just get better with time. I firm draw but competely smokable, perfect burn, and just a downright great cigar!

"A classic"
This cigar defines what a great cigar looks like, smells like before it's lit, and tastes like (on and on in your mouth), with degrees and changes in flavor and intensity. This cigar is a classic/must try.

"Great big stick"
Smoked with a friend after a very copious sunday lunch, this D1 is absolutely excellent, with great Partags flavours (cocoa, mainly) all very smoothly blended together. This is part of a box bought in Paris airport. Probably this cigar has got to maturity, if I see previous comments. Only issue, a slight but not unpleasant harshness toward the end.
Excellent construction, too. Price was around Euro 12 apiece ($ 14), not cheap but not worringly expensive for this excellent cigar.

"this is the real deal"
this is one of the best cigars bar none, and i'm a montecristo man. the construction is the finest i've seen, beyond any reoroach. a big beautiful cigar with a rich, dark, smooth wrapper. the burn and draw are perfect. the flavor is a deep, smooth full earthy one. no harshness anywhere.

"This El kicks Paratagas"
Man this smoke rocks, to date the best stick I've had, slightly better than the Monte #2 in that it burned perfectly but still had all the good flavors and looks. I'm giving out my first 10's across the board! There might be a smoke that's flavor you like more but as a rule this is my measuring stick from here out.

"the EL of ELs"
This is an Edicion Limitada truly worthy of that status. It is easily one of the top three richest, smoothest cigars I've EVER smoked, with note of dark, bittersweet chocolate with a touch of black cherry essence. Construction, appearance, burn, the whole package is as special as a cigar can be. It tastes, to me, exactly like brazilian rosewood (the mother of all tonewoods) smells when made into a world-class guitar. I am going to try very hard to keep these as long as I possibly can. ( BTW, this is the very first time I've ever given a cigar a perfect score.)

"Young but ready"
This is a big, handsome and finely constructed cigar, that drew and burned well. It is graced with a beautiful, dark reddish brown wrapper. The Partagas 2004 LE is medium bodied with notes of sweet wood and earth that were initially subtle but developed more fully. Surprisingly smooth, round and balanced for such a young smoke, it never struck a harsh note, even at the end. However, I was expecting greater strength. A sweet woody finish. Delicious and satisfying.

"Beware of counterfeits"
Smoked one last night with 6 aficionado friends. It is a relatively young smoke. However, the look, the taste, the draw, the feel and the scent are absolutely fantastic. I am not much a fan of the LE, but this reminds me of the PSD3 that came out a couple of years ago. The PSD1 is like the PSD3 on steroids. Nearly the same smoke, but a bit longer and with a thicker gauge. I score this cigar at 93, for it to be a full flavor cigar with great aging potential. The only down side of this cigar is that it is priced too high @ NTD$920 a stick. EAT is the old factory code for Partagas, but they stopped using that code in 2000. It was changed to OSU for almost 3 years and the latest code for Partagas factory is GKI.

"The Jury Will Be Out For A While"
Bought a box to put away for a couple of years, but I just had to smoke one. Not typical of Cuban flavor. Slightly harsh, one dimensional, certainly not smooth. Different than other LE's. Too young? Box code EAT MAY04
