"Excellent smoke"
Beautiful cocoa brown wrappered robusto with virtually no veins at all, with the familiar red PSD4 band and a second black and silver "Reserva" band. After cutting with my Palio, it felt like I wasn't getting any air on the pre-light draw, and I worried that the cigar might not draw well. I was quickly proven wrong as the cigar drew and burned perfectly throughout.
I can't say whether it was the "pre-aged" tobacco or the subsequent 3 years of age, but the flavor was defintely smooth and refined. Much of the typical Partagas spice was present, with notes of nuts and of coffee at times. Most impressive was the way the flavors blended, giving the smoke a flavor I again can describe best as "refined". The subtle changes in flavor combinations kept me interested and made for a very satisfying experience. An excellent cigar, although at an average price point of $26, I might be inclined to buy a few aged regular production PSD4s before buying more

"Hmmm....."
A friend in Europe sent me samples to try. Extra age on the tobacco before rolling supposedly. I thought these were nice cigars but I didn't see any extra "boom" when compared to PSD4s that are "on". I'd definately take 2 PSD4s over one reserva.

"Wasn't overly enamored"
Don't get me wrong, this was a very good cigar. Not justifiable of the price, or perhaps the expectations, but still good.
