"Pretty good"
I had one of these today and it had a tight draw and it canoed a bit, but flavor was great. In the middle it had a very sweet flavor to it. I've heard that the tight draw is only an occasional occurance on this cigar, so i'd probably try it again.

"best petit corona I've ever had"
These are supposed to be better with age, but I've tried them ott and they've always seem to be consistently a good cigar whenever I've had them, their smooth and have a nice complex and leather flavor going for them, their also priced fairly reasonable (better than domestic smoke prices in most instances for the botique brands) can't go wrong with this one!

"unfortunately.."
Sorry to come back with a negative review this time but unfortunately i came up with a very bad box of 25s (02/june?).The draw is very tight to plugged with an instant bitterness and a sharpness that burns the throat.I put the rest of the cigars in my humi for two months and retried them but now with the box almost over the verdict is the same a really bad box of what used to be one of my favourite small smokes.

"Adieu 2007"
2007 was a good year for the Smokin Mormon, so I thought it fitting to break out a Cuban for the last day. Picked this one up in Mexico last winter, so it had some time on it. Perfect appearance and it lit well and burned straight with a wonderful pancake stack ash. I smoked it in the hen house on Chicken Hill with Brigham and his two remaining hens. They were busy just trying to stay warm and so was I. The flavor didnt knock me over, but it was decent. Nubbed it to about a half inch.

"among the best"
Box date 2000/mar. The previous client discarded it because he didn't like the look of them. I grabbed it right away. This being my third box of 25(cannot find 50's cab) is absolutely the best until now.Full flavour and body with a complexity not expected from such thin and short cigar. Draw and burn were very good also.

sweet looking stick, my mother said it even had such a nice color, Great draw, cuban taste and great cuban aroma. Had a nice buzz after this baby. Wouldn't recommend for a first time cuban smoker try something lighter rookie. Really enjoyed this at the end of a long day.For the money it's a great value.

"Super Consistent"
The one problem with cuban cigars for me is their inconsistency from box to box, year to year and even stick to stick within a box. I hate paying a huge premium for cubans and having to throw out 1/3 of the box. These are the only ones I could find that had no bad sticks in a box. They are all decent, full bodied, quick smokes. A good Monte #4 is better, but 1 out of 4 sticks in a box of those is unsmokeable.

"Partigas Short"
Just smoked one on vacation in Sedona - after 1 year in humidor. Very good complexity and taste. Small enough to smoke in 1 45 minute session. The aroma smelled a lot like vanilla as it wafted towards me. Good Cuban for the money

"very consistent"
each one just amazes me in its consistency. same falvor one after another. best of the short smokes . no question about it. not quite as good as the monty #2. have smoked a few of them after aging for about a year and the Monty is the king. but the short is much cheaper, takes 1/3 the time to smoke, and the flavor is close to the Monty.

"EXCELLENT!!"
I think these are one of the best, reasonably priced, short smokes out there.
These smoke like a dream, great burn & draw, a little peppery, spicey, woody & by the end smooooth. . .
I ordered a box of these with the intetion of aging most for later, but I've smoked almost all in a matter of weeks, so I'm ordering 2 more. I'm sure these will age fantastic!

a small cigar with a huge amount of taste. draw and burn was great. Cuban Partagas has to be among the finest cigars in the world. I know the Monty #2 is rated the best but the whole line of Partagas is real quality. Pepper and spice and pure toasted tobacco. Try one and I thnk you will like it.

"Better and Better"
Time only makes these cigars get better. Prelight aroma had a bit of a barnyard aroma. Peppery coffee Partagas taste . Also had sweet taste , kind of like honey. Got some nutty tastes also but just for a few puffs. I love this little cigar. Short on length of time to smoke it, but definitely not short on taste. Burn was flawless. Draw was a bit tight but it was not a problem.

In short, an amazing short smoke. A good cigar with very little aging. Flavor is smooth and earthy and can smoke to the end. Mild spice and slight cedar/wood. Burn is even and consistent. Appearance is smooth wrapper with no veins. Only negative is it's too short!

"great"
Smooth brown wrapper, aged about 2 years, spice, cocoa, and pepper blasts to the palate. For a short smoke, if you have the patience to age, this is a wonderful alternative to the well behaved PLPC. I really enjoy this cigar.

"Truth be known"
This is a small cigar that can be found at almost any out-of-us location. The only thing about it is that it is usually closer to 10 bucks, not 5. It is a tasty cigar, but it is gone way too fast! It really should be a 5 dollar cigar for that reason. It has an old cuban flavor of earthness. Smooth as can be too.

"Potential Greatness"
I was gifted one of these, so I'm not sure of the age, but from the taste I'd say it was pretty young. Tannic, with a bitter aftertaste, but lots of pepper and a soft toasty aroma made up for its youthful aggression. Construction was good, but the burn was a little ragged toward the end. A powerful but smooth short smoke with huge potential. A couple years on these to mellow the tannins and this will be a stellar 30 minute smoke.

"Bummed, but oh well"
My bud is a mechanic in Iraq and he just came back with some beauts! This was not one of them though. It was bitter and harsh in both pre-light and taste. The burn was nasty and i could not finish even the first inch of this little monster. Granted, it was one try of a cigar with an otherwise good reputation, so I will still give it an average rating. Uggg...I better go get some mouthwash.

This cigar came from a Nov 05 box, so I didn't expect too much yet. After the first few puffs, my expectations had already been exceeded. Has that great cuban spice that most partagas cigars display so well, but was balanced with other delicious flavors. Looking forward to the other 24

"Still good"
After trying one of these a few weeks ago, I liked it so much I bought a box. I smoked the first one from that box last night. It was good, but not quite the same as the first one I tried. This one had a slight hint of grassiness behind flavors of nuts and tobacco. My guess is this box needs some age. The box code is KBE NOV 2005, so they're pretty young. I’ll post an update after trying a few more in the coming months.

"Awesome! Big Habano flavor in a small stick"
I wish all cigars tasted this good! After trying a grassy, metallic Mille Fleurs and a mediocre SD#4, I didn’t think I’d like a Partagas, but I found this one to be great. It was very rich and spicy, especially for such a pint-sized cigar. It started out with classic Cuban tobacco flavors with tea and a slight cardboard edge to it. It then moved to a more refined tobacco-box flavor and toast. By the mid-point, it had some noticeable white pepper flavors and dough-like notes. At 2/3rds through, the flavor really smoothed out. It never became mellow, just smooth and flavorful. By then end, tea flavors became evident again and stayed until I burnt my fingertips trying to squeeze out one last puff. The draw was good on this stick; just a little loose. Like a lot of Cubans I've had lately, it was a somewhat soft, which caused it to burn with a blister, but it never caused any major problems. All in all, a tremendous smoke. I'll be buying a box of these in the near future.

"flavor bomb"
This is a little flavor bomb. Strong and rich from the first puff. I have a Cabinet from MAY 05. They look great with dark oily wrappers. Although strong not at all harsh. Thick smoke, rich & spicy with some nutty flavors that linger long on the finish. Should age well. I was wanting some small cigars for afternoons and walking the dog. These fit the bill perfectly. Short in length but very long in quality.

"Short in length only!"
I'm on my third cabinet of these outstanding demi-corona, and thought it was time I reviewed them, lol. This is such a perfect smoke, to me, regardless of size. It's a full-bodied powerhouse, yet is so smooth it's almost too good to be true. With cigars this size, (and petit coronas) they start off with the full power, and I love that...from the very first puff to the last, sad, finger burning draw, they are all pleasure. The dark chocolate and espresso bean notes, (I've also had a distinct floral note for the first 1/3 in many of these) the incredably complex tobacco flavors all meld into one of the best smokes...in my top 5 or 6, for sure. They are one of my two "go-to" sticks, ALWAYS smoke the same, always dependable and consistant. I have smoked them in the dress box of 25, and if there ever was a cigar that you can instantly tell the difference when bought in a cabinet of 50, this is it. Do yourself a favor and look for a cabinet...the one I'm smoking right now is so young, May.05, and they still taste great. I can't keep them in my humidor.

"The Quintesential Short Smoke"
This is the gold standard against which all other short smokes should be compared. Deceivingly benign-appearing in stature. Silky brown wrapper with minimal veins. Sold construction with no soft spots. Rich prelight aroma. Easy light. Slightly firm draw (stored at 65/65 for 3 months). Slightly flakey salt-and-pepper ash. Started with spice and earth - typical Partagas flavor profile. These mellowed in the first 1/3 and were joined by a woody note, particularly oak, by the halfway point. The flavors then intensified and were joined by grassy and herbaceous notes in the last third. All in all, this was a medium-to-full bodied 50 minute complex smoke that is loaded with flavor. I didn't find this to be a headspinner at all - it was extraordinarily enjoyable from first draw to the nub (and I do mean the nub!!). Like anything memorable, I didn't want it to end. The only thing it left me wanting for was another one.....

Sorry, Fuente, but this is what Opus X wishes that it was, nothing against them, but for a price/quality ratio these put the X's to shame. And these are only $5 a stick, delivered!! "Short" or not, they pack a punch while remaining so very smooth. Easily a 40 minute smoke and one of the finest Habanos I have ever had. Strong yet creamy, full bodied (and I MEAN FULL) flavor, thick, rich smoke, not a bad draw on the entire cigar. Had to have a second one as soon as I put out the first. I just got a box from 2/04 and could I leave them to settle down in the humi for a few weeks or months to try one? Course not, I grabbed the first one I saw and brought it home. Burn was dead even and needed no help, draw was good, a tad firm but without problem. Smoke was medium body and oh so smooth. Great flavors, got a bit more interesting as it burned down. Sweet cocoa, some wood, some other flavors I can't describe in words other than to say YUMMY. I have a great aftertaste in my mouth that is telling me to go get another one haha. The wrapper was quite fine and developed a couple of small cracks but I didn't let that stop it being a nubber and I expect some humi time is needed. That will be hard as this cigar was memorable.

It's a perfect all around cigar and if one is to short then you can smoke as many as you have, I do. These are a medium to full bodied smoke, not for the beginner.
