Excellent, consistant draw

After the first inch or two, this smoke blossomed into a crisp, smooth, cedary flavored cigar, with strong hints of a charred-wood, and spice (pepper)...I think the draw was hard at first due to its size.....(that is alot of filler to draw through).....as it got closer to my fingers it was distinctly cedar and woodsy flavored, but very refreshing;no harsh after taste.....the wrapper and construction were perfect, and the draw was smooth and crisp (after the first inch or two).....and the flavor was excellent! Also, the burn was uneven at first, but it also straightened itself out, w/ the draw. Overall, a nicely flavored mild/medium smoke!

This cigar has a smooth, pretty USA Connecticut shade wrapper. The pre-light flavor is faintly musty. Easy draw, great construction. Smooooth & creamy, with a great spice character that fades to a straightforward tobacco flavor. Medium bodied. The finish has a classic tobacco flavor. A great cigar. I have smoked 3 different sizes of the Grand Cru line & found this one to be my favorite.

A gift from my brother, the Punch Gran Cru Diademas was bigger than my usual cigar, but smoking it turned into the perfect experiment on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Solid, beautiful color and well-constructed, it started off medium-bodied and spicy. It sayed consistent through the first half with a great burn, then really blossomed into a rich smoke with just a trace of sweetness--very nice, with no heavy lingering aftertaste. When I got to the band I couldn't stop, so peeled it off and smoked this beauty to the nub. It's too much cigar for me, so I wouldn't buy another. But now I'm curious about the rest of the Grand Cru line.
