"better than okay in my book"
this cigar had been in the box for about 6 mo. good construction, wavy burn but no real negative effect. i tend to smoke figurados slowly, avoiding burn issues. medium body and a nice blend that mellowed out about half an inch in. i particularly enjoy the way the flavor builds as the barrel of the cigar gets larger. stays smooth and no bite until the end. good for the price especially for a change of pace...

"Another fine Punch cigar"
Sometimes I think I could smoke nothing but Punch cigars. The construction is always top notch, they taste great, and their value is very good. I love the Champion's earthy, spicy flavor, but they do require some rest in the humidor; the longer the better. The Champion's shape is fun, changing body as you smoke through its unique perfecto shape. It looks like a bowling pin to my eye. I like the Gran Puro and particularly the Rare Corojo more than the Champion, but it's still a wonderful smoke with a high value.

"1st round knock out"
the interesting shape led me to try it out, once lit it had a perfect through the entire smoke. it started out with an intersting flavor that i cannot put my finger on. asit slowly burned the flavors took on sweet chocholate, woodsey notes as it escapped through my nasel passages. was overall a great smoke . i would highly reccommend this unique cigar

"Feisty little bugger"
If you're ever going to a 1930's theme party, grab one of these on the way. Looks like the cigars cartoon characters from that time frame are chomping on. Flavor was not very complex, but a simple and satisfying tobacco flavor. The draw was a little plugged at first, but became bearable. Burn was uneven, but didnt need to touch up. Overall a good smoke, but don't pay more than $5 for a single.

"A Solid Honduran Smoke"
I have smoked about 6 of these - working my way through a box. The construction is great. The pre-light aroma is delicious. Earthy and sweet and tangy. The wrapper is a nice oily chocolate brown. Looks good enough to eat. At first light, however, it sort of lacks the punch (no pun intended) that I was expecting. Sort of mild to medium and slightly vegetal. Not what the pre-light aroma led me to believe. Hmm. Well . . . give it about 10 minutes and it turns into a solid medium to slightly full bodied cigar with lots of earth, a little bit of spice and a little bit of sweetness. A classic Honduran flavor profile. The final 2/3 of the smoke is delicious and really makes up for the uneventful start. Burns well (for the shape) and lasts about 45 min. For about 60 bucks a box of 25 on the net, you just can't go wrong.

"okay, I guess"
The shape is a little cartoonish, which seems to affect the burn though not the draw. Medium body, earthy with a touch of sweetness, pretty much as BWJ notes. The wrapper started to split about halfway. Sweetness gives way to nice but run-of-the-mill toasty tobacco and a little pepper. Despite a serious touch-up attempt, the burn never straightens out. Two overarching thoughts on this smoke: (1) There's a reason I usually avoid novelty sizes; (2) Punch's maduros are worlds better than their EMS smokes. Ultimately, this one's okay but doesn't live up to the buzz.

"Nice Punch"
Guess I’m going to throw my hat into the same ring as most of the other reviewers. This is a quality small cigar that is very impressive. A smooth smoke with a very pleasant earthy sweet aftertaste. Not a bad draw, looked good and the construction was just fine. The burn was a little uneven at first but straighten it self out. I like small cigars and Punch is a good brand. I should and will buy more of them

"Perfecto - Almost anyway"
This is a great, inexpensive smoke. I loved the perfecto shape. The wrapper was a great reddish brown. Nice construction. The ash was solid and stark white (ashed twice during entire smoke, and probably didn't need to the second time). The amount of smoke was only average. The sole flaw was the burn. There was a section of the foot that never really lit. It burned unevenly over the hump of the perfecto shape, but it wasn't terrible. It did require a touch-up or two, but burned straight over the last 1/3 of the cigar. The draw was a little tight after the first cut. I clipped a little more and it was fine. The flavor and aroma were good, with a sweet leather. The flavors were nice, but it was difficult to pick out individual flavors. It went very well with the crisp wheat beer I was drinking. I didn't want to put it down. this stick had about 6 months of humidor time on it. I'd recommend these highly.

"Great Smoke"
A very nice med to full short smoke. Much better than many higher priced offerings. A little harsh when first lit, but settles down to a nice spicey taste throughout. Have had some problems with uneven burn, but am willing to put up with it.

"Tasty!"
Great little bowling pin, with a nice floral/herbal flavor. Very smooth, medium-bodied smoke. About 1/3 developed a sweet cocoa flavor that was very creamy and then gradually built up to a spicy finish. Very nice burn, though the draw was a bit tight. Definitely worth the $4.

"A Champion"
I like punches so when I saw this little baseball bat at the shop I had to try it. It started of harsh then it mellowed a bit and was a great smoke, spicy and strong, although there was a bit of a metallic taste but it didn't bother the over all taste and experience. Another testement to punches construction is that the ash on this cigar stayed on from the beggining all the way to the nub!

A good friend got me into cigar smoking and this bad boy was one of the first. After many differant smokes I keep coming back to this one. If I had an hour to live and a choice of 1 last cigar, this is it!

"Good One"
This is a tasty little smoke. At 4 1/2 inches it's gone in 30 minutes, but it's a half-hour well spent. It lights up easily and burns well with a solid gray ash. It tastes somewhat woody and has a sweet overtone, something close to cherry. Reminded me a little of the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, but not quite as smooth. Once over the hump the flavor declined, and it began to burn a bit hot. Up to that point it's a fine medium bodied mid-day smoke.

"Age is the key"
Didn't care them at all the first time around but 6 months of time in the humidor did the trick. Nice spicy full bodied smoke with excellent draw and pretty good burn. Really like the perfecto size and glad they came around to be a solid smoke.

"A Knock-out!"
My friend gave me this one to try and I thought it was very odd-looking with a baseball bat shape and short stature. But when I lit this baby up, I was in for quite a treat. It was strong and spicy, but still balanced. I found the draw to be great, producing lots of potent and intoxicating smoke...especially for the size of this baby. I remember the ash being very white in lovely contrast to the maduro wrapper. Flavors kept changing with a core of woodiness, complemented by lots of spices. My tastebuds were jumpin' for joy and with a cup of java, I had a kickin' buzz to boot!

Great appearance and surprisingly pleasant taste. The only drawback was the draw was extremely tight for the first 1/3 of the cigar. After that it opened up and flowed freely. Overall good cigar that I will smoke again.

"recommended"
Started out slightly sweet and leathery then turned to nutty after the fatty section. Construction was very good, and this is just a plain fun cigar to look at (I love the odd shapes). I experienced an excellent burn and was able to smoke it to about 1 inch without any harshness (I had to drop it because of the dreaded "smoke eye" lol). I will be picking up a few more of these to age for a bit. Very pleasant smoke!

"Very good short smoke"
This is a neat little shape for a cigar. The construction was perfect and the brun and ash also. Some sweet notes of leather and vanilla turning to spice and a touch of nutty to it. Overall this is a 2-stage smoke as it changes after the first third. an enjoyable little smoke.

"Smokes like a chump at first but improves"
This cigar looks good and is nicely rolled despite the unusual shape. The draw is fine but it burns unevenly, a problem that seems common in cigars like this; it does perform better once you get past the fat part. It starts off with some dry wood and peppery flavors that are slightly sweet; then gets progressively nuttier and a bit creamier. It's a pleasant and flavorful cigar but you have to have the patience to coax it throught the uneven burn. But average price paid = $7.00??? Wow, this is the first cigar that I've gotten at a cheaper price than the rest of you guys. 🙂

"It has moments"
Surprising sweet leather, vanilla beginning. Good med-strong Punch flavor at the fat part. Unfortunately got a funky aftertaste on the finish during the 2nd two thirds. A little disappointing given all the great reviews. I have 4 more so I will rest them and enjoy them later. I like Punch and I like these. I just expected more.

"Very Nice"
This cigar has been sitting in my humidor for 5-6 months. I am not sure what this would have tasted like at the outset, but with the 5-6 months- it was really good. It started out with a bunch of sweetness and then died down a little. Then towards the middle picked up more sweet notes again. The finish on this cigar was very different and very good. There wa a really unique spice with citrus accents. I was very surprised. There were definite changes of flavor to keep me interested. Also for the size of this cigar, it lasted about an hour. Burn was very good and draw was quite nice Definitely recommended.

"Interesting shape but boring flavor"
The burn was very good and consistent, which is unusual for the perfecto shape. Flavor started out a bit harsh, but evened out as I reached the largest diameter to a pleasant but somewhat boring toastiness. It remained toasty and smooth until about 2.5" where it turned fairly bitter and unpleasant. I'm impressed with the Punch MM Rothschild, but very nonplussed by most of the rest of the Punch line.

"Strong Medicine"
This cigar is a bit stronger than I like them, but that is personal preference. Construction is excellent. Burn needed a couple of touchups, but as good or better than other cigars in this range. I'd give this one an A- to B+.

great short cigar for the 20 minute ride, however would consider aging it more, but a great value cigar by the box. I bought one for approx. $5, by box approx. $2-3 a piece. burnt a bit unevenly, definitely needs to be in humidor for awhile

"Great shape, great deal"
Because I smoke my cigars slowly, I like a shorter smoke with a small (under 50) ring size, but I also want rich flavor and complexity. With its bowling-pin shape, this short perfecto recipe fits the bill exactly, and this solid little guy is a winner. It's not quite up to par with the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Best Seller, but it's very, very close and it's only half the price. Selling for about $2.60 a stick online, that makes it a great deal. Mine were a little young initially, but a little time in the humi is curing that. However, I like them so well I'm not sure they'll last long enough to age to full maturity!

"One of the Greats"
What an excellent smoke. I was very impressed with this cigar in that it's mild, yet full body taste never overwhelmed the senses. The cigar is of course well constructed and burned evenly. I also love the design of this cigar, which is not unique by any means, which seems to complement the smoking experience by funneling that great flavor into an easy-to-put-in-your-mouth cigar.

with the rich full bodied flavor of this well balanced cigar. Burn was even and draw easy.
Same full flavor to the end. I smoked this one close. Punch has a winner here.

"Exceeds expectations"
Think double chocolate fudge cake. This odd shaped figurdora is loaded with full bodied, rich flavor. Begining to end, consitency and roundness of flavors noted. While short in length, it turns out to be a surprisingly long smoke. Cannot beat the price tag.
