"Punch Drunk"
The Punch Magnum is so good it just might make you giddy. I felt a little "Punch Drunk" as I smoked, this example of the "Punch Line" most of which are fine cigars. Now that I've got that out of my system, let me tell you this cigar starts out spicy, but soon mellows out to a delicous salty-sweet taste with hints of cream that is representative of most punch cigars. The construction was the weak point and I had to relight it several times. Still I'll overlook the poor burn for the rich taste.

"Good respectable smoke"
An oily and lightly veiny wrapper covers this fairly thick cigar. The draw, burn and ash are all fine; the only slight flaw with construction are some stemmy pieces visible in the cut head, which is something I've found commonly in the core Punch line of cigars. As mentioned previously this cigar has an initial spiciness that quickly subsides revealing straightforward leather and tobacco flavors to go along with the characteristic tangy/funky Punch taste. Not super complex and not super strong, but still a more than respectable smoke.

"Nice."
Aged about 4 months. Mostly medium to full in body. Flavors of cedar and earth with some spice. Burn and draw were perfect. I found this a bit one dimensional but it wasn't a bad dimension. Gifted to me by my buddy Glenn. Thanks Glenn. I'll enter $4 for PP.

"Expensive Firewood"
Pulled this beautiful specimen out of the humidor after aging for a month and lit it up out on the back patio while I was constructing a portable fire pit. I took a few puffs on it and thought it was going to be a tremendous cigar. Tasted like burnt almonds, scalded caramel and sweet and hardy tobacco, and the smoke scent was delicious. Wow! I sat it down and started bolting pieces together. I left the cigar alone for maybe 90 seconds and shuffled back to it and took a draw. Nothing. Out. Rats. Lit it up again. Took some long strong pulls on it, got it going nice and rosy again; taste was not as endearing this time but not offensive by any means, knew it would recover. Thought to myself, gonna have to keep an eye on this one; she’s special. Sat it down for maybe a minute, picked it back up took a draw. Nothing. Out cold. Lit it again. Flavor starting to get smoky now, eying it, picking it up to puff, losing nuts and washers and patience, puff it, puff puff puff hot, sit it down. Connect a quick leg of the fireplace, pick it back up. Out. Think of enlisting the wife as a surrogate drawer. Naa. Leave it. Finish the fireplace, light a fire, light the Punch back up, open a pale ale. Sip, puff, sip, puff, stir the logs, sip, puff. Out. Toss it on the fire.

"Punch me!"
I love these Magnums. Full flavored with the Punch kick. If you like your smokes med-full with plenty of spice on the tongue and pepper in the nose these are for you. They calm down after the first inch or so and the flavors of creamy wood and leather come in loud and clear. The burn is perfect and the draw is easy producing plenty of smoke. Not for girly men that can't take a Punch. Just kidding, these are not for everyone but it's the best of the regular line I've tried so far.
