O.K. they look like hell, often they don't burn evenly, but next to the Pardigas (at three times the cost) these are the best maduro or ems cigars ever!!!! If God smokes cigars, this is his choice!!!!

"A standby go-to smoke"
The Punch robusto is a reliably good and relatively inexpensive cigar. Typically with somewhat veiny, rough looking wrapper. Usually well made, though tight ones or uneven burns are occasionally encountered. Medium-full in strength and flavor, with a well-rounded taste and hints of walnut and pecan. I reach for these in the afternoon when I'm not looking for anything too adventurous or bold, just a reliably decent stick to smoke while doing other things. A consistently decent and solid cigar for not too much money.

"One of my favorites"
The Rothschild is the perfect size cigar for after dinner or right before bed. Punch is one of my favorites. I enjoy the smooth flavor and the hint of sweetness. It is mild and silky. I can't help but keep a few in my humidor just to have that perfect moment in the evening when everything is right in the world. It goes equally well with a small glass of port wine or a rich cup of coffee. I have not had a bad one yet. They burn evenly and slowly. I have yet to try a bigger version of Punch cigar because this one is almost perfect.

"good cigar"
I was very pleased with this cigar. Burned slow. I picked the darkest one (not all of them were very consistent in color). Had a good taste... fuller than average, but not too harsh or spicy. Woody taste, got a little hot towards the end, but did not ruin the smoking experience. Will buy again.

"A Classic"
I enjoy these right down to the knuckle-burning stage. They taste to me like wood and toast, but not as peppery as other medium-full smokes. Great aroma, draw, construction, and even burn. Never turn bitter or hot at the end. Great 1/2 smoke. And for the price, you just can't beat this little classic.

"Average Cigar"
Well made cigar with an very good draw and burn very evenly. The cigar had nice dark brown wrapper and was very firm in feel. This a medium body cigar that has light spice taste to it, with a hint of sweetness. The flavor are ok but it never jump out at you and it lack a smoothness to the smoke. There are cheaper cigars out their that smoke much better in term of flavor.

"A classic"
If I can't make up my mind on what cigar to smoke in my humidor, I always come back to Punch. I know what I'm in for, I rarely have problems, and when it really comes down to it all I want to do is enjoy a cigar- and I can count on these. I can't tell you how many times I pick up an $8 cigar that burns uneven or is too tight, etc. This size is a great cigar size when you want a big cigar flavor in a short amount of time. Although I will say that I have been able to stretch these rothschilds out to a 1/2 hour or more. I enjoy both the natural and maduro wrappers. Get yourself a few 5-packs when you can find a buy 3, get one free, that's a great deal there. Sometimes I forget how much I enjoy Punch cigars if I haven't smoked one for a while. No suprises here, but just good consistent cigars.

"Nice Classic Honduran"
Have smoked these for about 25 years, and they have not changed much. Classic Honduran flavor, but the Ecuador wrapper is what does it for me I think. Not an ultra high quality smoke, but they are not priced that way. A good everyday med/full stick. May be a bit too strong/harsh for a newbie.

"I like a good Punch."
Damn these aged well. If you don't like Punch you don't care. If you do like Punch, as I do, you will be impressed with the smoothness and flavor. It mellows in the right places, smokes great, burns straight and the flavors have married beautifully. A great short smoke that will satisfy that craving.

"humm..."
i've never been to impressed with any punch i've ever bought, this one got very hot very easily, and it had a large tar spot, that was just a pain. i ended up only smoking about half and then i tossed it. it had very little flavor, and what flavor it did have was ruined because it was too hot

"Something different"
This was my first Punch. It didn't strike me at first as anything special. It was a solid smoke. As I got further into it though, I was refreshed to taste something new. It had a spicy, almost fruity taste to it. Not my first choice but if I'm ever in the mood and near enough to a place that sells 'em, I'll grab another.....

"improved with age"
I don't know if my tastes have changed, Punch has changed, or age has changed this cigar, but what once tasted like mud has bloomed into a pretty good smoke. Good tobacco taste, slightly sweet and spicy, I smoked this while mowing and thoroughly enjoyed it.

"mild steady smoke - worth a try"
Even flavor/aroma start o finish. Nice mild flavor and aroma, not harsh at all. This one as in the humi for a yeay or so. Extremely unevwen burn,. smooth consistant draw. About an inch in the wrapper split and fanned or the entire smoke. If offered Iwould gladly smoke it but I would not buy it. If you like a mildly flavorful cigar it is worthy. Not my go to stick.

"What took so long?"
I can't believe it's taken me this long to smoke a Punch robusto and it will not be long before I smoke another. I like the "punky" Punch flavor and the strength it provides. Although I can understand why some folks wouldn't like them I just can't agree with them. Their unique Honduran flavor is not for everyone. Smokes good and tastes good.

"decent"
When I buy cigars, I usually get one or two Punch cigars because they are cheap and an overall normal cigar. I usually use them for poker night. Its pretty much a spicy cigar that gets dry at the end. Not much else.

"Dry and spicy"
A coarse and rough-looking cigar. It has a slightly uneven burn and a loose draw but it produces LOTS of smoke. It has a predominantly dry flavor with some peppery spice, and a sweet and salty aftertaste. An OK smoke for the price.

"My mouth hurts..."
I got one of these from a good friend; at least I thought he was. After smoking this Punch I never talked to him again (just kidding). Actually, I am a mild to medium flavor guy and this Punch was like a punch in the mouth. It seemed more like toxic fumes than flavorful smoke. No more Punch for this guy.

"Plain Good Cigar"
Normally so ugly and consistant looking that one would almost think they are machine made. Sometimes cap is a bit loose. But let these babies sit in a humidor for a couple of weeks and you get mouthfulls for good strong tobacco flavor. Strong, but not usually harsh. At $3.10 a stick from the local Tobacco Hut, this makes a good "go to" stick.

"I remember...."
Hadn't smoked a Punch in a while. Thanx to Randy L. for gifting this cigar. The medium brown EMS wrapper has a nice oily sheen. The draw & burn was perfect & the ash was white. A nice medium to full bodied cigar, with a nice spice tone & a bittersweet aspect that lingers on the palate. Some barnyard was evident.

"err"
When I first picked this stogie out at the shop, my friend immediately pointed out a crack in the wrapper (I missed it at first) so I showed the shop owner (who, might I add, just put it back in the box) and I picked out one that didn't have a crack. I didn't think much of that single cigar at the time so I still purchased one to try. This smoke looked quite nice. A typical natural colour with slight oiliness to it. It was a little difficult to light up completely because of it's ring size but eventually it lit up fully. This is a medium-full flavoured cigar. The flavour wasn't too bad but it was a tad harsh and left an undesirable aftertaste. The harshness wasn't constant; this is actually a quite smooth smoke but at some points it became harsh (near the end, where it also burned hot). Remember the cracked stogie from the store? Well guess what. About 1/3 into this smoke, the cigar developed a crack.. and as I continued to smoke it, the crack got bigger.. and bigger.. and bigger.. Eventually I just got fed up and put the smoke down. The construction flaws totally left me completely unsatisfied and I don't think I'll ever try another one of these. Purchase at your own discretion.

"not bad"
These are pretty tasty little cigars. Great to have a bunch of these on hand for your friends – the ones that think they're cigar smokers. Keep them in the humidor for a few months and you will enjoy them as well. At about $2 each - hard to beat. Great taste - reasonable draw and burn. Good overall construction. Quick smoke at ~30 minutes. I like to putt for dollars with one of these babies in my mouth (and a glass of scotch) – I’m sure to win about $30 on every hole…remember, you gotta feed the fishes!

"ouch~"
The cigar is a little oily and viney, with a few soft spots. The construction is generally satisfactory, and has a loose cap. Cut is unsmooth, too moist perhaps. Lighting it is hard, and the draw is pretty loose. The cigar has a strong cocoa and toasty taste, and has a veggie undertone. It is a medium-body smoke. It has an uneven burn with grayish-white firm (but a little bit flaky) ash. The cigar burns slow, but have the fear of needing to re-light it if not attended within 3 minutes. The wrapper split open by the half of the cigar. It is an okay cigar. Seems like the cigar has a production inconsistency, and I had to discard the cigar by the last third.

"Not bad..."
Not bad...
The draw was a little loose for me.
1st third suprisingly mellow.
Creamy and rich but slightly lacking.
2nd was begining to gather some steam and offered a good amount of leather boot flavoured smoke.
Finished a little harshly for my tastes.
A good half hour smoke though.
Perhaps a little over priced...I'm sure this one has it's rivals that cost a fair amount less.

Good flavor and construction and a decent price. I've had Rothchild/Robustos that were comparable, in my opinion, but these are still a good deal. Never had a dud.
