Puros Indios Piramide No. 2 (M)

A big, beautiful cigar. Started with that rich Honduran taste and got better. Pretty even burn, good white ash. Draws a little tight. Much better than the 2 natural wrapper #2's I've had. Will try another before commiting to a box. A good solid ciga

As someone mentioned, this cigar has been on the market for nearly a decade, and the quality has increased during this time. In general, Puros Indios has become a much more quality smoke, but this might only be my opinion. The actual ring gauge on the Piramide No.2 is 50, so Im not entirely sure what the deal is with the cigar information at the top of the review section. Regardless, this smoke is a quality smoke (gee, maybe this is flawed because I enjoy smoking so much). Notwithstanding that fact, the gar has good construction, the wrapper appears to be nicely rolled, not too tight and the draw on the cigar was easy and not stressed. Sometimes when you get a figurado with a head that has a slow taper rate (like a torpedo or a piramide) versus a normal churchill head that has a very radical head taper rate, the question is: how do you properly cut a figurado? You dont clip it like you do a churchill, slicing off 1/16th of an inch in an effort to get about 70% of the cigar cross section exposed. With this cigar, you have to go about 1/4 of an inch to get a proper cut, but cutting much more seems to really create an issue with burning hot. The flavor is a very interesting . . . dirt . . . taste and of course the requisite nut and cocoa flavor found in cigars. It is a bold cigar, with lots of body, but it doesnt have a jolt or rush of power to the head like those crazy La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisels. I think this cigar could be smoked at any time without regard to the amount of foodstuffs in your stomach. I think the biggest problem with the cigar is probably the flavor, its a $6 with not a whole lot of personality. Id rather pay a bit more for the aforementioned La Flor Chisel.

This big cigar was fun from start to finish. I didn't have the construction problem experienced by Cigar-Hoss and Fat Boy. The draw was a bit tight, so I clipped it down a bit further. The flavor was consistent for a full hour. Outstanding value, definitely recommend!

This is a big cigar! Nice rich maduro. The constuction was the worse part. I got a run in both of the Pyramids I smoked. But, remember this is a big cigar so clear your're calendar and be ready for a good time.

I don't know why my name is in here 2x (CigarHoss and Cigar_Hoss) but I apologize. I also do not make a habit of reviewing cigar more than once. However, this time, while the flavor was just as nice as before, the cigar was rolled horribly. The tapered end was a total flop. It was rolled so loosely the end became so soggy. I couldn't hold it in my mouth because of it's soft construction. I STILL recommend this...but check it before you buy--especially if you buy singles.

This is a fine smoke. If you are a fan of flavor...try this. If you are a full-bodied fan...try this. The cigar is a nice looking one. They seem to be much nicer in appearance now than they were 6 or 7 years ago when I first tried this. Less bumpy/veiny. Wrapper was perfect. Lit like a charm. The only complaint I have about this is the construction. I always seem to find one with a soft spot. It's great value is one of it's mightiest appeals. This is a gem if you are like me...a believer that a GOOD smoke doesn't have to top the $10...or even the $6.00 price
