"Four More Years!"
I've smoked many a Presidente since my last review of this cigar in the election year 04. All most all have been delicious, well burning, and attractive cigars (for Puros Indios), and I got them at a good price. The one I smoked last night was not quite up to snuff with the rest for some reason. However, this review incorporates the ratings for the half dozen I smoked this year. On my most recent smoke the taste and draw were below the standards of the box I've smoked in the past four years. This remains a very good cigar, highly recommended. Forget Obama and McCain, elect this Presidente.

"very good"
As a beginner I thought this was a very good smoke, probably about a medium body, with some spice and creamy notes toward the end. Only problem was it went out once and had an uneven burn toward the end. All in all it was a great ending to the day

"tasty"
Outstanding!!!!! Bought a box a year ago for a steal on bid. I was just bid happy and coudn't resist and was trying to fill my cabinet humidor. I was a little reluctant to smoke this thinking it was going to be trash for the appearance was a little rustic. Finally lit one last week and could not believe the flavor profile- medium bodied with vanilla, caramel and cream. The power and cedar picked up towards the finish which seemed to last and last-an excellent ecuador taste. I left my office dumbfounded and quickly started bidding on more!

"Mouth full of sand"
Is this cigar full of flavor? It sure is, the aroma and taste is VERY noticeable. The problem? The flavor is a mix of sand, cardboard and dirt. I was highly disappointed with this cigar. The wrapper looked like it went 12 rounds with Mike Tyson (the 1980's Tyson), tons of veins and just not very pretty. The draw and burn were exceptional, very smooth, no burn problems at all. It just tasted like crap.

"One year wonders"
Put these away for about a year and they were oozing with an oily wrapper. Very good taste. Well worth the wait. Now part of my rotation

"Good Everyday Smoke"
These can be had for close to a buck a stick and they are a great value at that price. Medium flavor/strength with enough zip to make it an interesting smoke. No prizes for beauty, but it's a good value cigar.

"Twangy"
There's a twang to this cigar I just can't like. It's a great looking smoke and has plenty of age. The blend is good except for that damn twang. It's so close to being very good.

"give it a shot"
A greenish bbrown wrapper with little veins. Upon lighting, I noticed a slight sweetness that quickly fades in exchange for a flavorfull smoke. Very smooth and complex with subltities of earthy creamieness. Great smoke from beginning to end. At this price I couldn't go wrong.

"Age does wonders"
I loved this cigar right out of the box but having kept them in the humidor for a little over a year has really blended the flavours of cocoa and leather together very well. Another year or two will propel this puro to unbelievable flavour!

Easily one of the best buys for the money. A little lacking in appearance but an excellent smoke. Great toffee and cocoa tastes with a mile leather undertone. Strong and powerfull

""Hail to the Chief""
The flagship of the Puros Indios line. Very chewable and well made. The taste is far better than you'd expect from a cigar this price.
Forget about Bush and Kerry. Try this Presidente.

"He ain't vain."
What I like about Rolando Reyes Sr. is he doesn't care half as much about what the cigar looks like as he cares what it tastes like. There were 3 or 4 sun spots on the wrapper, one of them quite large. This one has been sitting in the humidor for over a year & the flavor profile has changed. It is now medium bodied instead of medium to full. The barnyard aspect I usually find in Puros Indios has also taken a hike. It still has that Reyes spice tone, however, that always satisfies. The 1st two thirds is pleasant & tasty, if somewhat uneventful. The last 1/3 really comes on nicely with some complex nuances in the sinus & a very nice finish. This cigar has a very nice rich spice tone that I find inherent in most Reyes products. I nubbed this one.

"always good"
I like Puros Indios. They are somewhat cheap, great tasting and they look good sitting in your hand. They aren't the best out there, but I never have problems with them. They have lots of smoke and are tasty enough to keep me coming back.

"Maduro"
Two tone wrapper that is light toward the foot and turns darker maduro color about half way up. Somewhat tight pre-light draw and a firm straight barrel. Upon lighting up, the initial sensation is a sharp coffee bean taste followed by vanilla and cream on the finish. Definitely not a mild cigar, but never too strong. A favorite late afternoon, early evening smoke.

"Nice and Dependable"
Senor Reyes is one of my favorite cigar makers. This 'gar starts as a '3' on the '0' to '10' strength scale, and finishes at an '8'. Good flavor. Even burn. Some of the wrappers are thin and fragile. Great bargain.
