"They Differ"
They differ, oh Johnny, they differ. Over a year ago I reviewed this cigar and I said I would tell you if the others I bought differed. The previous cigar with age it was a very tasty, albeit mild stick. However, this cigar was from the same five-pack and it had very little flavor and the burn was not very accurate. I had another peviously this summer and it was the same as the recent log. Don't get me wrong these aren't horrible, they just have a range in flavor and construction. My advice, be cautious, basically it's a crapshoot.

"Better than IT"
This is a better "standard" cigar than Rocky's Indian Tabac line. In fact, I like this far better. That said, this is a very plain, but well made cigar that mild cigar smokers will enjoy. These are pretty easy to fnd and not a bad deal. A decent everyday cigar.

"solid"
Unbelievable construction with a firm ash. You only need to ash this once or twice. This cigar cannot be beat in the mild/mild-medium range at this price. Age them for a few months and the flavor goes from 8 to 10.

"Good if way below retail"
Sorry, I have a hard time paying $75 for a box of mild Connecticut wrap cigars. HOWEVER, if you can get these on auction or on special for under $50 they are a fine smoke. Mild but tastey. Pretty typical for the blend, but a very nice morning cigar.

"Not Rocky's best."
I'm a huge fan of Rocky's cigars but I feel I got 'burned' on this one. Actually I didn't, they were free with purchase of Fusions. Pre-light everything looks good...great appearance and construction but no aroma. Upon lighting there is a weird chemical taste that quickly goes away but is nearly unbearable until it does. Draw is too light and flavor is non-existant. Very average cigar, really below average considering the weird taste upon first light. A yard 'gar but I won't be acquiring more after their gone.

"unenthusiastic..."
This mild-bodied cigar left me completely unsatisfied. Although the construction and appearance of the cigar were consistent with others in of the Rocky Patel line, the flavor was near non-existent. The pre-light aroma was more exciting than the lit cigar... Even as a big fan of mild-bodied cigars, it was hard for me to smoke this stick after the first third. Out of fairness to this board, I smoked to the 2/3 point and set it down out of sheer boredom. Not impressed...

"Pleasant Surprise"
I received a sampler of these when I purchased some Fusions. I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised when I fired the first one up. This is a very good cigar. The wrapper is wonderful and the construction. In fact, each vitola in the sampler was a thing of beauty. The burn was even producing a nice grey ash and the draw was easy. Taste is mild but with character throughout. This is a very nice smoke especially for a beginner or someone who enjoys a mild smoke in the morning. I highly recommend this Rocky--as I do almost all others.

"Mild but flavorful"
The first RP Connecticut I smoked was like puffing on air, much too mild. I'm the first person to appreciate a mild cigar, but that first gar was as bland as they come. Fortunately, my second attempt was much better and I could taste the subtle flavors of the cigar in the first half. I had some "sippin whiskey" with the second half and it was an excellent match.
Since I bought a five-pack, I'll let you know it the last three differ.

"Very nice."
A mild bodied cigar with personality. Attractive, smokeable, well constructed, and very tasty. I usually go for medium to full bodied cigars but this cigar held my interest. Gorillas will eat this for breakfast. Newbies will enjoy this anytime. I had about 4 months of box time on this. Gifted to me by my buddy Glenn. Thank You Glenn. $4 for PP?

"Easy does it"
I think this is easily the lightest RP smoke I've had, and perhaps it was meant to be that way. A beautiful look to this cigar and the burn was typical, perfect 🙂
Subtle flavors and a mild, nutty flavor make this a winner. Good for the beginner or advanced smoker!

"Patel Conversion Tool"
I'm also not one to go for the mild-medium side, but I got these in an RP sampler from Cigars International, and I'm a believer. I wasn't quite as blown away by the wrapper as some other reviewers of these cigars: Mine all look just this far off of being seconds, patchy and a little raggedy, but the wrapper is smooth and lustrous, and I can imagine how other batches might be downright beautiful. I was actually very well constructed however. It burned slow and evenly with a firm ash that held on for about 2 inches. With loads of creamy smoke, it started mild and toasty and built to a spicy medium. So far I haven't had a smoke of this profile to match it at this price. I'm sold.

One of the best mild to medium smokes I've had in a while. This one has a geat flavor, good draw and you can't beat the price. After trying one I ordered a box.

"A Vintage in every respect."
Number one I didn't expect this Connecticut wrapped beauty to be like the other Vintage smokes, but I did expect it to be as good for a milder connecticut wrapped smoke. And I was not dissapointed at all. It's much milder than the other Vintage series and it should be, but it has the same great roll and burn with a wonderful spicy flavor that is perfect for a A.M. smoke or my first smoke of the day. In fact I just ordered my second box sampler with 5 of 4 different sizes I liked the first so much. These are even better than the 5 Vegas Gold line IMO. Think I will be keeping these in stock in my humi from now on.

"NOT a Vintage 1990"
I guess I should not be disappointed, but I am. I didn't expect it to live up to the Vintage 90, or did I? It DID burn evenly, and the ash was quite long and white, but other than a hint of sweet red wine, it was uneventful. Will ANYTHING match Patel's Vintage 1990?
