"After 3"
A year after picking up a RP sampler I smoked the last of the lot. This Connecticut is a beauty and has aged well. I little stronger than I remembered but smooth as silk. Berfect construction and burn. My normal light smoke is 5 Vegas Gold and the RP is far superior. I may be switching if I can find a deal.

"To Mild? Add Bourbon"
These tend to be fairly inconsistent. I've smoked several and my experiences have run form below average to very good. The one I had last night as I camped along a pristine river, was good, but nothing great. The draw was a little tight, but the mild nutty/salty flavor was worth the price. These cigars are excellent with a good bourbon or the adult beverage of your choice.

"Undecided"
I may end up revising this a bit after giving the balance of the cigars 3 or 4 months in the humi. As with most Rocky Patels the construction and appearance were impeccable as was the burn, but I found myself being a little disappointed in the lack of flavor. Reminded me a little of the 5 Vegas Gold series, but more expensive.

To sum up, for those who's tastes run to the mild side, many will find this cigar to their liking, but after smoking only one, I have to admit I was expecting a little more of a punch.

"Nice presentation, flavorful"
Substantial stick, well packed with tobacco, significant veins in the wrapper but did not affect the burn which was straight to the nub. Easy draw, although it did not pull very much smoke on intake. Wonderful aroma of toasted marshmallow. Consistant flavors of toast, nuts, sesame and some tart fruit about midstick. When paired with a rootbeer it reminded me of a cheese danish! Short creamy finish, pleasant aftertaste that did not last too long. At the price I may keep a handful to impress my casual-smoking friends & inlaws, but as an everyday mild I prefer the Excalibur HDM or CT Casa Torano.

"great cigar"
For a mild cigar this was VERY good. Top noch construction. Light up was easy. Little harsh for the first 1/2", but mellowed out quickly. Grey/White ash held for 3" before falling on its own. Middle section had plenty of flavor for a mild, hints of cream and coffee at times. Tons of smoke. The burn was perfect, with a razor sharp wrapper burn. Nubbed it. I will like the other 4 and I will definately buy some more after that!!

"Second one not so good"
Well, after my previous experience I couldn't wait to fire another one up. This one had a slight green tint/discoloration on parts of the wrapper. I was afraid of the flavor being grassy because of it, and it was. Started off a little bitter, and developed into a grassy taste that I did not care for. I had to purge it several times just to make it smokeable. Construction and draw were still rock solid, but I won't be rushing the next 8 sticks I have left.

"WOW!"
Creamy and nutty, as most mild cigars. What I really loved was the how solid the construction was. Perfect burn, and the ash held for a good two inches before I tapped it off. Nubbed it. I am very happy with this cigar. I got nine more to enjoy. Cbid always has these, look around.

"Very Tasty. Mmmmm."
Very nice mild smoke. I got 5 for $13 from CI. At least equal to my favorite mild (5 Vegas Gold.) Creamy flavor at first, with just a hint of spice, and consistently good all the way to the nub. Definitely plan on more of these! Mmmmm.

"Bright"
A well made fruity smoke. Fairly mild, but with a year in the humi it isn't Macanudo mild -- I think MisterSurgery is right: with a little age this one has enough heft to raise it above average lightweight standards. More like a Perdomo Champagne than a Mac, but brighter than either of those. One of the more substantial mild cigars out there, at a fine price.

"disappointment"
Nice color but way too much vein in the wrapper made for a bit of an inconsistent burn although a real easy draw with lots of smoke. Flavor was unremarkable and too bitter for my taste. I've had a couple of disappointments from RP and they're moving up my over-rated list. I'll pass on this one.

"My new morning smoke"
I got these on special from CI (10 for $24.99). I have to start out by saying that I have tried a few of the RPs and think most are over-hyped and over-rated. At this price point, it was worth a try. My humi is stocked with mostly heavy hitters. On occasion I like to reach for a milder smoke (usually in the a.m.). I am a fan of the Monte whites, but not the price tag. I find Macanudo's to be consistant... pure air in every puff.
So on to the RP conn.
This cigar had all the flavor I could ask for in a mild to medium connecticut stick. Somewhat creamy with sesame and toasty undertones. It does not have the pepper and spice that I enjoy in my after dinner/evening cigars, which is exactly what I was looking for in my morning cigar. For those who would like to add a few milder cigars to their box without sacrificing flavor, I recomend this one.

"Gets stronger with age"
I had this in the humi for about a year. and it got stronger with age. The flavor was definitely fuller in the body and some of the light creaminess was replaced by an earthy flavor that although not objectionable, definitely is not representative of what this cigar tastes like with just a few months in the humidor. Personally, I would leave this in for a month or two, and you will get a super-creamy smoke with a buttery undertone and just a hint of spice. Any longer, and you might get a stronger stick than you might think.

"true conn taste"
just what i was expecting. a nice mild-medium bodied conn wrapped cigar! pleasant, perfect for the golf course. hand em out to your mooching friends, they will enjoy it! the band says connecticut. the band DOES NOT LIE!!!! creamy, smooth, cedary, a good cigar anytime! if you want complexity, full body, or something un-conecticut, this is NOT the cigar for you, unless you want a good morning smoke or (i reiterate) a golf course cigar. great cigar, it is what it was meant to be, it is what it is! Rocky blended a FINE conn wrapped cigar.

I was expecting a hit from Rocky, but instead I got a dud. I've never had a bad RP but I guess this time my luck had ran out. Incredibly loose draw, flavor was off, but stayed lit and burnt perfect all the way through like my Rocky's usually do. Will give them another try, but I'm fairly weary about them now.

"Decent but not great"
This is a beautifully made cigar with an excellent draw. I had a great deal of anticipation about smoking this one, so I wanted it to be good. I was a little disappointed in that the flavor was somewhat milder and one-dimensionally consistant than I expected. Although I smoked it in the middle of the afternoon, I still had that cigar taste in my mouth the next morning.

I received this beauty in TCOM club, and could not wait to light it up! Man what a smoke, this stick has more smoke than any I have ever tryed. This is a mild but, full boded mild, if I can state that. Creamy, nutty and coca flavors are present and a lot of them. The burn was great and even, with a gray-white ash. I perfer full bodied cigars, but I loved this one and will buy more!

"Grass is Greener"
A very mild but good cigar. Burned tremendously straight and without much babysitting. I was dragging hose around the house trying to wet down some of the dry spots on the lawn, and I was letting the RPC sit for up to five minutes at a time. I fully expected it to be cold when I lifted it to draw, but every time a nice big puff of white smoke filled my mouth with a toasty and velvety flavor. Ash was a little flaky for me. Might have been the wind. I’ve got another in the Hum. I’ll let it sit some.

"smooth, mellow..."
I had no problems with the draw on this cigar, it was excellent via bulls-eye punch hole. It had a nice creaminess too it and some nice spice, all while maintaining a mild to medium body. Slight hints of chocolate on the finish. The ash was something worth noting. About 1.5" b/f ash fell. Burn was very even. A nice, cool refreshing change of taste. I have not been too impressed w/ Rocky Patels in the past, but I enjoyed this on New Years Eve and then smoked a Monte Afrique afterwards.

After the last smoke I bought some of my own and let them set for a while. Just smoked one and I think it was better than the first. Very nice smoke, mild yet spicy. The only drawback is the band, they have to replace it. It looks like a paper thats sat out in the sun for a day, very cheesy. But the cigar is first rate if you like em mild.

"Another Fine RP"
An excellent example of the RP line. Bought these for a friend but had to give one a test drive first. I generally prefer a maduro, but found the Conneticut shade wrapper to be very silky and smooth. Once lit this cigar had a near perfect burn and ash, which held together through almost half the smoke. It was very mild, which my friend prefers, but I found the smoke not to be dull at all. It was cool and spicy through and through. I prefer a medium bodied smoke but found this to be a very nice change of pace.

"Excellent mild to medium smoke"
I bought a couple of these cigars because the sales person at my local cigar shop recommended them. They are put together beautifully, but at first I thought it was rolled too tight by the feel of it in my hand, but it has a nice even draw. I would have to say that this is one of the best mild-medium (slightly more to the mild side) smokes I've had in a long time. Please note that if you like a strong cigar than this ones not for you. I can smoke anything from mild to extra strong depending on what I'm in the mood for.

"better than some, not as bad as others"
I prefer a medium to full bodied smoke, but I got one of these in a sampler and lit it up after about 2 weeks in a humidor. Very mild cigar, kind of bland. The burn was outstanding, the draw a little tight but not so much to be a nuisance. Better flavor than a similar H. Uppman, but not as much flavor as a similar Romeo y Julietta. They should come up with a better label.
