"After one year...."
These are smooth. Really smooth. The spice has receded some but the earthiness is there still. A little coffee. The ones I have are maduro, but there is no sweetness at all. What impressed me when I lit this one up today was the satiny feel to the smoke. Absolutely no harshness at all, just good flavor. Try aging them if you can, you'll like 'em even better.

"Strong"
I recently purchased the maduro cigars from cigarmonster, and had the urge to try them out this evening. I was impressed by the cigar, visually. It had a very good draw, burned evenly, and the ash stayed on the end for over an inch. I was caught a little off guard by the strength of the cigar, as i'd been smoking mediumbodied cigars recently. It wasn't overly complex, with decent earthy tones and a good aftertaste, up until the end, when it became bitter and ashy. I would recommend it if you like maduros or fullbodied cigars, but if you're not in the mood to have your mind blown, stay clear.

"Good"
I like these. Nice rich chocolate flavors with a good spice in the 2nd half. Maybe not as refined or complex as the '90 and '92 but definitely up there in taste. So far I have not met a Rocky cigar I don't like, but his smokes are overpriced. You have to hunt around the 'net a little to find them on auction or on C-monster. I've yet to try the 2nds.

"A must have"
If you love cigars than you must have the RP Cuban Blend for the new year. The notes were medium to full with lots of wood and some pepper and earth to the taste. The last half can get a little acrid so I would just have one and let them sit till Jan of 09. The time will make this stick a must have smoke.

"I'm in love."
Words escape me when it comes to this cigar - specifically the maduro version of this. Slightly sweet, peppery, coffee tones, and a distinct tang all combine for a rich and flavorful smoke. I've had a couple of these in my humi, but have always been a little afraid to some them mainly because Rocky Patel had always been so hit-and-miss with me. Plus, whenever someone mentions "Cuba" or "Cuban Blend" in a cigar, the assumption is that the make made it so powerful so that I'm going to be puking my guts up later.
Granted, this is not a cigar for a mild or inexperienced smoker; you will get a buzz of of it. However, it hits high marks in just about every department. It has an almost perfect draw, has a decent burn, great flavor, produced lots of smoke, holds an ash for and inch or longer...did I mention that it had a good flavor? The ash itself is on the dark side, being silvery gray with amber colorings mixed in.
Oh yeah, and it has a good flavor. Did I mention that already?
The only drawback is that if you get them a little young, they'll taste like bitter, black coffee - especially the corojo versions. So, you might want to let them sit for about 6 months before cracking open the box.
I purchased a box microseconds after I finished my first sample. I highly recommend you do too.

"Good smoke - a little pricey"
These are good cigars. They are very well made and full flavored. A little too earthy at first but burn into their stride after about a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. My only issue is that these are a bit pricey. There are many Maduro's that out do this cigar. But still overall an enjoyable smoke.

"Giv'er a go"
Got them off CigarMonster at a great price. 4 months in the Humi. Excellent construction, butn left a little to be desred. Needs attention - will go out on you. Nice rich smoke, although lately I prefer the Nicaraguan profile as opposed to this Honduran stick. I would have trouble getting them at retail, but if you can pick them up off CigarMonster, they are well worth a shot. I think RP fans will like this one.
