Great construction. Smooth smoke. Enchanting aroma. Darn near a perfect cigar. Ah, who am I kidding? This is a perfect cigar.

"The worst built cigar ever"
I know that I must have bought a defective cigar because nobody else has apparently had this problem. The wrapper on this cigar must have been put on by a kindergarden kid in training to wrap Christmas presents. I can't even rate this cigar for flavor fairly because the entire wrapper peeled off (without my help).

"'92 was a good year for Patel"
This vintage is another good one for Patel. The look of this cigar is very classy. the dark wrapper and cap was constructed perfectly. The draw and burn was effortless and completely even the whole way down. Flavors of leather and spice, with cocoa and creamy undertones. For 5 bucks, this was a steal!

I really wanted to like this cigar. Aesthetically it was very pleasing. That was about it. The draw was impossible. The flavor was nonexistent. The biggest waste of 8 bucks I've ever spent on a cigar

Yikes...what a dogrocket last night. No flavor whatsoever except for cardboard and oxygen. This stick had about a year of box time. You'd better think about treading catiously with these. Value based on $5.

"When there on...they are awesome."
Damn good flavors here. Thank you so much Glenn. He had this boxed for about a year and it showed. When you take a quality cigar and age it nice you sometimes get to blow away your guests. I know Glenn... you smoked the just ok Compay, the Bills lost (again), and I nabbed the best stick in your box...isn't that what friends are for?

Why so Good?...Fabulously,creamy, deep, rich slightly sweet black cherry, spice, and leather fravors made me not want to brush my teeth. Looks, burn, draw all perfect...not a touch up needed till the very nub end. When these are on they can be spectacular. Value based on $5

"great flavor"
I bought a box of these on a whim for about $150. My first Rocky Patel experience. The flavor was great with lots of wood and leather, although the draw on about half of them was way too firm. Thats my pet peeve of cigars. Overall a good smoke.

"Dissapointed"
Since this cigar has pretty good reviews I jumped on a box at a good price. So far I have gone through about 12 sticks and can honestly say that I enjoyed about 3 of them. The flavor is OK.....pretty mild and uniteresting. The bad part is the construction. Two went straight into the trash when the wrappers crumbled and the draw was so tight they could not be smoked. Most of the others had terrible wrappers and medium to very tight draws. An overall terrible experience for me.

"I thought I went to heaven!"
What a great cigar. My Bro-in-law gave me two of these as a gift and I can't say I have had a better cigar then this. Dark, sweet, lush smoke, overall a very flavorful and enjoyable cigar. It's what an expensive cigar should be. Nothing less. I am planning on buying more of these for special occassions.

"Expected better"
After being blown away by the 1990, I figured I'd take a step up and try the 1992. Maybe my expectations were just too high. Milder than I anticipated but just OK. I'd take a 1990 or an Edge lite over this anyday. Have to admit it does look great but mine had a hard draw.

"Can't wait to smoke the next one"
Smoked this one on a long walk with the dog. It started out slow, but about 3/4 of an inch to an inch in it warmed up to a nutty, woody winner. Good smoke, even burn, great looking stogie. For $4 a stick (a bargin in NY) it's a winner.

"What a Wonderful Surprise"
I hard about these sticks and never had an RP before, so these were untested waters. Man, am Iglad I stuck my toe in. A beautifully constructed cigar. It ooks great with a slight box press shape and a wonderful aroma when you pick it up.

The stick gives off a long, straight line of solid white smoke. Clean burn, beautiful toasty flavor that is consistent from start to finish. A real winner.

"average on a good day"
At 1st this smoke's apperance was very good. The start was excellent & it burned great. It is a mild smoke. Unfortunately that's about as good as it got. The finish was bitter & the wrapper fell apart. There was no value considering the price that was paid. I would not recommend this cigar.

"Not worthy of the hype"
This was a very average cigar. With the hype and 10 year aging of the wrapper I was expecting more, a lot more. I was let sown by the flavor, the appearance and burn were good but it lacked depth. I have a couple left, I'll put them back in the humidor for a few months and give them another shot.

"should Have Waited..."
Well, was so excited to try a 1992 vintage I lit one up straight from the box. Knew it was too dry and needed several weeks to soften up in my humidor...

Terrible draw, too hard, ran up one side. Ugh... My last 1990 vintage was pleasant, with nice flavor and white ash/smoke.

Hate to judge so early, but will try again in a couple of weeks & let everyone know.

"You never know what youv'e got till its gone"
I happened to be in Bethlehem PA just after Rocky Patel visited the CI store. Got 3 bundles of these for $ 2 a stick. Treated them like $ 2 sticks and herfed up all but 10 over the past 4 months. I like these better than the (2 bundles) 1990 Toros. I know the reviews go the other way but these are better. It's like having a supermodel nymphomaniac as a first girlfirend. Now reality sets in. A nice looking, well constructed and slow burning smoke. The best term I can find to decribe it was smooth. Not devoid of flavor, and not mild - it was medium bodied with lots of smoke and a pleasant aroma. An $8 smoke that I would say is priced like an $8 smoke. Not a bargain, but a nice treat.
