A great cigar for the price. Smooth draw and pleasant
aftertaste. Excellent wrapper. Would qualify as a good
after-dinner smoke. Highly recommended.

despite this cigars reputation and price, my particular stogie was a bit dry,I thought the aroma produced a strong ammonia smell.

I agree 100% with Dr. Gary. I didn't enjoy the taste of mine at all. I was shocked that this cigar was so bad. It didn't do anything for me.

"Good."
These natural wrapped Romeo's give and give. Lots of flavor, and has some teeth if you want it. A unique, hard to describe medium strength cigar with the best silky thin wrappers. A fine wrapper like these have is uncommon on most others in this pricing.

"Pleasant mild cigar"
The Romeo y Julieta 1875 Churchill is a well-constructed, even burning mild smoke. I agree with the other reviewers that the first half is uneventful, but I found it to be a pleasant mild smoke with a cup of morning coffee. The second half picked up a little spice and the finish never got harsh or bitter. I also didn't have any of the disintegration issues other reviewers mentioned. Even down to 3/4", it stayed together and never once required a touch-up or relight. The wrapper had very small veins and a nice tooth to compliment the slight sheen. I would recommend this over a Macanudo Cafe and would especially recommend it to newer smokers or anyone that wants a pleasant mild cigar.

"Grade: F"
I hate to come down so hard on a classic cigar label but this Churchill was TERRIBLE. It was bland with the only flavor being chemically. The Bully is actually a B- in my opinion but you would have to pay me to try the Churchill again. Do yourself a favor and if your going to stick with a RJ 1875, get yourself a Bully.

"Dissapointed"
Smooth Mild flavor, but had a lot of construction issues. Had to keep relighting it, thus putting a damper on a otherwise decent cigar.

"Okay, But Not Great"
The burn on this cigar was incredibly uneven. Taste was an earthy-spicy. Finish was better than most puffs. Draw was decent. It's not a bad-looking cigar, but it's not very pretty either. Wrapper was nothing special. Overall, it was alright but I wouldn't smoke another.

"Not impressed"
I have tried all the R&J lines and I just can't say that any of them really stack up to a good cigar. The 1875 line is very mild. Nice if you like cigars that way, but if you're looking for some taste forget about it, you won't find it here. Pretty much Dominican floral tasting. The wrapper is nice though, being Indonesian it sort of has a rustic taste to it.
Burn and construction are fine, but this cigar is just too boring. I think the Vintage line is probably the best from this group(but even that one isn't so hot).
Price is an absoulte ripoff here---I got this as a gift and the person paid $16 for it (you read that right, $16).Even at what it normally goes for, it's way overpriced.

"dissapointing"
Forget about these wannabe's, go with the cuban R&J's if you want a real cigar. Very bland and uneventful flavor. Had a burn that begged to be relit multiple times. Don't bother.

I tried a couple of these so I wouldn't trash them based on just one. I have 5, all of them have some degree of wrapper unraveling. A dry smoke that burns too fast with little flavor. The last one the whole first layer of wrapper peeled off in one piece after cutting. A poorly constructed, dry, flavorless cigar.

Decent mild/medium-bodied smoke. Has earthy flavors which sometimes are pretty rich. I've had a few start to unravel on me though. Overall, not a bad value, but not great either.

These are very consistent, mild-bodied, well-made cigars. I sure didn't pay $7 for mine. At that price I'd say way too expensive.

"Very Average"
Well contructed with good draw and even burn. The wrapper did start to unravel a bit with about 1 inch left. The flavor is mild with a straightforward tobacco taste. Although it became a bit spicier with about 1/3 left. This cigar offerd no suprises good or bad.

"Foul"
I cannot say much of anything good about this cigar except it was nice looking. For my taste, the flavor was thin and unimpressive. A bit floral, a bit spicy, and absolutely no balls. The wrapper started to come apart about an inch into the stick - and this cigar has been stored for almost a year in the same humidor with about 150 other cigars that have been burning just fine. Might be a good stick for those that like mild "Macanudo type" of cigars. I'd smoke a Marlboro Red before I smoked one of these again.

"Average cigar"
Creamy rich smooth smoke, but not always consistent. Spicy taste around 1/3 the way down. It looks nice, but the construction varies. Average flavor, which tends to be forgotten once the smoking has been done. Overall a good smoke, but not worth the money IMHO. Smoked better for cheaper.
