Great cigar. Still prefer the churchill as a birthday cigar. Even smoke, good draw, worth the time. A little hard to find, even where it's not illegal.

I was given this cigar in N. Calif. Not much to look at. Lit and smoked ok. Taste was good. Medium bodied. Ash almost white, but soft. Burn was uneven. A good smoke, but I expected more from a Cuban R & J. Buzz factor=3

"Creamy and delicious"
Very nice cigar! creamy with a hint of spice and delicious. Nice thick smoke and flawless color and construction. The one I smoked was a little tight but the draw was ok.

"Cedros No. 2 Review"
Beautiful cigar. Well constructed with a nice even burn throughout. Great smoke at all times. Nice mild flavours with distinct chocolate sweetness and hints of spice. This was my first Romeo Y Julieta and I'll definitely go in for another. The cigar lasted more than 1.5 hours with a good ash which complimented it's fine contruction.

"Excellent!"
This cigar has a wonderful burn, wonderful taste, great prelight aroma, nothing to not like. It is medium in body with a creamy nutty and smooth leather/ligero flavor and random overtones of coffee and cuban char. Always clean, always well-built, and medium in strength so suitable for anyone.

"Nice!"
On the downside, all in the particular box I purchased (June01) drew a bit tight on start-up and some didn't open up by the second third of the stick. Most did though. Even the ones that stayed tight were not plugged or unsmokable, mind you... just on the tight side. Other than that, the cigar looks absolutely lovely. It has a creamy cocoa, smooth wrapper, and a perfect cap. It burns nicely with a grey ash. Flavor profile is medium with slight spice giving way to cream and chocolate. It finishes up with leather and a touch of cinammon. VERY well balanced AND it gives off smoke that is almost like perfume. My wife actually LIKES the smell! An extremely interesting, obviously Cuban, medium bodied cigar that is easy to smoke for the newbie and complex enough to keep the veteran smoker interested. Dollar for dollar, it can't be beat.

"The essence of Cedar"
This cigar realy captures the raw earthy flavors of rich potent cedar. It smokes with heavy notes of earth, leather- whatever you want to call it. You never loose that tingle and taste of the thick cedar sleeve, and with all the oils oozing off the wrapper, its no wonder the cedar and the cigar have married so well. Nice puro flavor, very rich med-full smoke.

"Great smoke!"
I found it to be great stick. When you tear off the cedar you'll find a great looking, dark and greasy tobacco. It looks better without that cedar. It's slow burning although it's not so tight (medium tighted). Medium to full bodied, great for me. I like this earthy, leather and oily(!) taste. Sweet from the very beginning till the 2/3, then more spicy (yummy! :-). One of my first and I know I'll smoke it from time to time.

"One of my favs"
For the prices, this is one of the best deals on the island of Cuba. The veiny wrapper hides a gem of an inexpensive smoke. The draw is usually pretty good, with losts of cedary smoke that is usually good until the last quarter. I never have draw or burn problems with these smokes.

"Excellent Everyday Cuban"
On the downside, all in the particular box I purchased (June01) drew a bit tight on start-up and some didn't open up by the second third of the stick. Most did though. Even the ones that stayed tight were not plugged or unsmokable, mind you... just on the tight side. Other than that, the cigar looks absolutely lovely. It has a creamy cocoa color and a smooth wrapper with a perfect cap. It burns nicely with a grey ash. Flavor profile is exactly like peterp described: slight spice giving way to cream and chocolate which finishes up by adding a little leather and a tough of cinammon.

"wonderfully complex"
The cedar wrap imparts a definate spicy overtone to this cigar evident in the first 1/4 to 1/3. The spice gives way to a smooth creamy flavour i nthe second 1/3 that in turn gives way to a very strong but surprisingly balanced tone for the remaining 1/3. Enjoy with a dark cuban rum or light to medium highland scotch

"So, so"
Very nice aspect, nice construction, draws and burns pretty well; the flavor was a little bit disappointing becouse it changes during the smoke and at last, it looses, althougth it is spicy and nutty. Medium to full bodied.
