"Better EL"
This cigar just blew away the RyJ EL Piramide from '01 that I smoked earlier in the year. A perfect draw and burn, flavors that started with earth and spice, and evolved into leather, then mellowed into a creamier spice. Rich and fairly full bodied, it was a pleasure to smoke for a last cigar on Christmas night.

"wood"
Aged 2 11/12 years. Good looking medium bodied cigar with a nice dark wrapper. Flavor was very woody, going from cedar to oak and back around again. While it wasn't exactly boring, I didn't find it to be very complex. Burn was off in spots and the draw was tight at the start. At this price, I'm a bit disappointed.

"wonderful experience"
Nice looking cigar with great taste, draw was smooth, seemed to last forever, wish I had more of these.

"Complex and good."
Very good cigar, deep complex flavors. I had a few burn issues, but not enough to detract from the enjoyment of this great cigar.

"ginzu job"
The cigar had a veiny wrapper and an oily sheen. And it was plugged. So, I taped a piece of paper around its middle, chopped it in half and smoked the two stumps. Both stumps were still slightly plugged but tasted rich and full bodied. I guess you could say I nubbed them.

"Damn just Damn"
Awsome full bodied cigar with a slightly uneven burn. The tast makes up for any imperfections this cigar may have

"Entertaining Smoke"
This cigar made me open my eyes, from the first draw it it provided a whole host of flavours that I couldn't put my fingers on, spicy yet chocolatey, earthy yet still sweet and creamy but had enough punch to smoke in the evening. Maybe too interesting to smoke after dinner.
Now my only problem is tracking down a box.

"Holy poopoo"
Looks great, smells nice. Burn was OK, required some work but the draw was fine. Refined and extrememly complex taste, yet retained a core of smooth balanced flavors. Very slow burn.

"six months later"
I would like to think this cigar is laying in wait for everyone to smoke once again. This is a nice cigar, I wondered why this is not rated more frequently? Anyhow, this is a well balanced cigar with much complexity. Slow deliberate burn that never gets hot. Hints of nuts, armaretto, and spice. What's interesting is that the flavor intensified the harder I stoked it and then faded away. Now that is a short finish for ya! It was like the cigar had a personality. (communicating one on one with my palate)

"God Bless This EL..."
Gotta love this one! Box code is PEL JUN 01 and it doesn't get much better. Beautiful cigar, dark wrapper, even burn, perfect draw. Tastes creamy, mild tobacco taste along with a hint of sweetness. Even rolled up by Cubans finest!

"The best"
This is probably the best cigar I have smoked in some 30 years of smoking (1 a day whether I need it or not). Expensie but worth it for those special times. My price is based on a box.

"Meaty"
Box code PEL MAR03. Another lesson in why it's a good idea to let certain Cuban cigars age. When these cigars arrived 7 months ago they had an intolerable burn, but the intensity of the flavor was apparent. With minimal aging, these have become incredibly good cigars. Meaty and deep with a straightforward intensity, they still require some tending during the smoke. The wrapper tends to lag behind the filler/binder, but not by nearly as much. My standard to this day is the Partagas SD#3. By my standards these still do not show the consistency or depth of the SD3, but they aren't all that far behind in flavor. The construction quality is still not what I like to see, but the aging process seems to be helping.

"Nothing Special"
A big disappointment. Uneven and bad burn. Terrible draw that I think was because of the fact that it was boxpressed. What's up with boxpressing anyway? Why boxpress a quality cigar in the first place? How cheap is that? The taste of the cigar was not impressive, not bad but just average at best. A Bolivar royal corona is a much better choice in this price range.

"benchmark robusto"
Luxurious dark wrapper, symmetrical ash & burn. Balanced acrid wood, spice, & chocolate. At its most complex also redolent of an aged Port wine. RYJs best to date.

"Loved it!"
maybe I loved it a bit to much. This cigar only took me 30 minutes to smoke, as I think I attacked it from first light. Smooth, and perfectly constructed, this cigar left me wanting more.

"Hard To Resist"
Wrappers are marbled and range from very dark colorado to maduro in hue. The burn is slow and very even, evidencing excellent construction and leaf selection. Its paradoxical flavour offers up dark chocolate along with herbal foresty notes and citrus zest. The taste is definitely one notch up in intensity from regular Romeos, but totally non-abrasive. This cigar will certainly benefit from further maturation, though its hard to resist lighting up now.

"Sweet"
I just loved it. Sweet spice all the way through. Pleasant, complex flavor, very good construction, feast for a cigar lover.
Pricey in the States though, but well worth it. Sweet!

"Robusto King"
There is a new royal family in the Robusto world. It's name is "Romeo and Julietta", edicion limitada. It is so good, the Cohiba Robusto kind of pales. I read some reviews on your Web, before deciding to join and the reviews of RJ R LE is probably the most objective ones, especially ones done by your professional reviewers.
It is very complex, delicious with lots of flavors and fragrant aroma. Firm construction, perfect draw, beautiful black wrapper, long finish. Taste, lots of taste. Beautiful cigar, just like Juliet herself. In the world of Cigars Cuba is the King!

"Perfect"
I am glad to report that my all time favorite brand R&J did not disappoint me with this new LE Robusto. It is a beauty - dark, oily with sweet smell, looks just like Halle Berry and just as delicious and firm to touch, though I'll take Halle over any Cuban cigar any time.
Full bodied, lots of complex flavors, delight for a palate. Came from the box of July 2002, a bit young but had it all, just like Halle. After holding this vitola and smelling it, I could not figure out whether I wanted it to smoke it, or eat it. Just like Halle.

Black, silky, plenty of balanced aromas and cuban complexity. Just a little too young. In one year this robusto will be perfect.

"Look out..."
This must have been the way Kevin McHale felt the first time he saw Kevin Garnett play in High School...a little rough around the edges, but everything is there.
This may be one of the best cigars I ever WILL have. The first of this 6 month old box showed unbelievable promise, and flawless construction. I can't wait to see what some age and maturity will do for them. I have a hunch they'll be another KG.
