"Grade A plus smoke"
This is a good example of Romeo at their best. I found it medium to full. It has a consistant flavor throughout though it gets stronger at the end. This is worth the effort to get.

"Cigar Virginity"
This was my first ever cigar. I can honestly say that this baby started my love affair with the sophisticated side of tobacco. Haven't had one since then, but I look forward to the end of the embargo (or the beginning of my illegal transactions) so I can indulge in more of these fine stogies!

"Give it some time"
Excellent in the box aroma (not as good as a DR Arturo Fuente DC Robusto or Belicoso). Outstanding construction with dull wrapper. Solid feel -- nothing soft feeling during the entire smoke. Easy draw, but uneven burn throughout (mostly self correcting), but there was a certain amount of "tubing" in the middle. Very mild at the start (for a RJ). Great tobacco flavor, with no bitterness. An oak, tannin and coffee beginning. Transitioned to an addition of expresso with some vanilla in the middle. Finished nicely, but became a little rough around the continuing flavors. This cigar is definitely a humidor ager, as it will improve (I believe). Great smoke now, better later.

"Besy RyJ yet"
I enjoyed this cigar more than any other RyJ I have smoked. The construction was nearly flawless, with a chocolate brown wrapper and minimal veins. It burned perfectly, with a nice easy draw and lots of smoke. The cigar started with flavors of wood and spice, but changed later and had more of a cocoa and coffee flavor. Just an excellent cigar, gives me faith in RyJ again.

"Best in Mild Class"
Here's a great cigar that is mild yet extremely flavorable at the same time, delivering a mocha coffee like experience with a long finish. Got 'em on sale at 25% off, so I did not pay an arm and leg for this LE. A perfect choice when you want a sure thing that won't overpower your pallet

"Nice smoke."
A very pleasant experience! This EL box code FDO 11/04 sported a tremendously toothy thick dark chocolate wrapper with minimal veins. Excellent prelight aroma. Solid construction without soft spots. Easy light. Smooth draw. Even burn without the need for relights or corrections. Gray ash. Tons of white smoke. This stick started immediately with spice, floral notes, and a hint of white pepper. This transitioned in the first third to a melange of wood, flora, berries, warm leather, and a hint of orange peel. The middle third brought mild cocoa, citrus, and more floral and spice notes that characterize a classic RyJ flavor profile. A toasted tobacco taste mixed with mild menthol and a tanginess was found in the last third. All in all, this full bodied 1 hour 40 minute smoke was most enjoyable and contained the classic RyJ flavors that I love, with a few added complex notes. Although young, it will surely mature into an EL that is worthy of the moniker, in my opinion. Paired well with HC7 rum. Bought a box.

"A very non-EL EL"
Most of the Edicion "Unlimitadas" leave me, well, Un-Excited. But I am really fond of this one, which incorporates some of the traditional Romeo fruitiness along with moderate tannins and well-fermented tobacco flavors. This is not a strong, spicy, or peppery smoke, but a medium bodied cigar with savory, complex flavors that I expect will ripen nicely with time. I recently bought a second box just to age, because the first isn't going to survive 2006!

"Waiting to be great"
I just purchased 2 boxes of these and they look great. Box code JNL Nov 04. Pre lit aroma is fantastic. Slightly boxed press in presentation, little rough on the cap. Started off typical of a cuban, with a great taste and light spice of a typical Romeo Cuban. In the middle of the cigar it just opened up, got intense and realeased a bunch of earthy cuban dirt flavor, fantastic. The finish is expresso with a hint of spice. I predict these to mellow out and become superb with age, can't wait.

"sideways...the Italian way"
Those Americans that believe that Wineland is somewhere north of Frisco, they should come to the land of Barolo, Piedmont, Italy. This is the homeland of the king of Italian wines, the Barolo, and f... all those cabernet sauvignon of Tuscany (or California, or Bordeaux, or wherever else, they all taste the same...) so much liked by the Wine Spectator. In a true wineland, after a very good dinner with a very good Barbera by Aldo Conterno I have smoked the R & J here. Very good indeed, if a little too smooth in flavours. Nice burn, good construction. All in all, a very nice smoke, with the added bonus of a second life the day after (I had not finished it the night before, the thing is biggish), still very smooth and smokable.

"This one is gonna be good"
The cigar came out of the box very strong. Box code - FDO JUN 04. Most of the smokes in this box were veiny toothy cigars with a nice redish hue. The few that I have smoked have been consistant, but dominated by modest spice and a lot of kick. This smoke was very refined, it smoked all the way down to the bands and still had some good smoke left. I think that this one is going to be great in another year or two.
