"Much better than the robusto"
Better taste and construction than their robusto. Even burn and smoother taste, great volumes of smoke from a very easy drawing cigar.

"Very Nice Maduro"
This was out of a JRCigar.com sampler box, so im not sure of the single cigar price. This was a great cigar. It would probably ber considered by some to be a strong smoke, but it is so sweet and aromatic, that any smoker would find it pleasant.

"Time keeps rolling"
This cigar was good before, but with a little himidor time, it has smoothed to silk. Perhaps less spicy than other maddies, this one just keep pouring out rich smoke all the way to the nub. One dimentional, but oh what a nice dimention!

"Might have messed it up"
Id like to start off by saying: I might have done this cigar a great injustice. It is possible that I may have let it sit out a wee bit longer than I should have and in that way compromised the integrity of the overall experience. Even still, this was a pretty decent cigar. I had already smoked the Reserve Real churchill and I wished to give the maduro version a shot. I found the "upgrade" to be just that. Unfortunately, this is where my mistake comes in. The taste was a bit harsh, id expect a little time in the humidor would smooth it out, but I did just the opposite. Sorry Romeo. That being said, the burn was still even, and the ash was incredibly white. Still, the draw was too tight for my taste. I have both the Real and the Maduro versions of the Robusto sitting in wait; I'm pretty sure those will be more my style.

"sweet and smooth"
i dont go for the mild, sweet style but this was pretty good. I was a little let down having read all the reviews, i was looking for a little more punch.
This was a very good cigar for what it is. Ig you like a cigar that is mild sweet and easy on the brun, this is a great cigar. I rated the Flavor as a 7 but as i said i like little more punch. If you like this style the taste is a 9, easy.

"Good, but...."
I do enjoy the RyJ maduro line. I have a couple boxes of the robusto nestled in my tower humidor. This size seemed to lack something for me. I am not sure why. There should be no difference in blend, so I have to attribute my problems with this cigar wither to the size difference or a freak batch of cigars. This cigar did not hold as well together at the foot as the others sizes and I felt that the spice too too long to develop in this cigar. Other than that, it is still a fine cigar and for 5 bucks, one of the best top-shelf maduro's out there.

"After a year long nap"
I first tried these cigars in April of 2005. They were enjoyable at that time. Being a new cigar smoker and having just discovered CigarBid.com, I bought many, many five packs. So many, that my original pack of R&J Churchills got buried in my humidor. Once I decided to organize my smokes, I tried one of the sticks that had been resting. Man was it good! The flavor maintained the same positives that it had last year, but also developed more spice and a little chocolate. After smoking this cigar, I now understand why BOTL seem to always be putting boxes of smokes down for a long nap before trying them.

"A sweet, mild, quality cigar."
A handsome, smokable, well made stick. A sniff of the shiny dark brown almost black maduro wrapper let me know that I was in for a sweet, relaxing experience. Started very mild and sweet then a bit of spice complemented the sweetness.
Burn and draw were perfect all through.
I enjoyed the last 2 inches best as this was where the spice finally outweighed the sweetness. Overall, a bit too mild and sweet for my tastes but this is what these smooth sweet sticks are really all about. If you like your maduro's full and spicy this is probably not for you. A great cigar for those just starting out and wishing to try a maduro. I'll enter $6 for PP as I scored this in a sample pack.

"Best outside of ISOM"
The look of this cigar gives you a hint of what's to come. The silver and black band (Go Raiders)is enough to catch your eye, and the dark brown wrapper looks good enough to eat. This cigar is very well constructed and has an easy draw. The flavor was great from start to finish. I smoked it as far as I could without burning my fingers and still didn't want to put it out. I will be searching CigarBid for more of these in the near future.

"Mmmmmm good!"
This is why I shy away from robustos. This baby has got everything and more. What a chocolatey, creamy number. What really caught me off guard was the finish which was sweet and cool like a shot of sugar cane. Smoked it to the nub and loved every puff.

"Definitely worth the time"
I'm not a cigar expert by any means, but the Romeo y Julieta Churchill is what got me started on cigars. Cedar-wrapped in an aluminum tube, they keep beautifully even in less-than-ideal conditions.
They have a easy draw and a smooth, even burn which doesn't get too hot. Not an expert on taste but I can say it is very mellow and relaxing, a good "after meal" smoke with a pint of beer. Count on a good 60-90 minute burn.
The only drawback is that it tends to get a bit harsh near the final third, though maybe it's my relative inexperience with cigars talking here. If you're a fan of smooth, mild cigars, you can't go wrong with one of these.

"Very very nice"
Nice dark color leads the smoker to realize the excellent smoke they are about to receive. A good medium taste with great flavor.

"My new favorite"
Somewhat dark and chalky looking. But burned beatifully and tasted like dark, sweet, chocolate. I enjoyed this one immensely. Anyone looking for a mild to medium bodied cigar with a rich, smooth flavor, this is it. You'll love it.
