"Great cigar"
This cigar is almost perfect for a medium smoke.
Construction is flawless. The flavor has such a high level of smoothness that it surprises.
A medium coffee taste with hints of earth and light pepper. I think this might be one of the better Cubans on the market for a 06 production.

"Plugged like a $2 hooker, but . . ."
Got a cab of 50, also with box code UGT FEB07 like kevink868's cab.

This thing was so hard to draw, even after trying to coax it with my MTX multi-tools cigar poker from both sides, that it ruined the experience 🙁

On the positive side, I still smoked it, even though it felt like my ears were going to suck into my head at any time !

It had a nice spice right off the bat, very pleasant aroma, and even though it seemed plugged like a $2 hooker, it stayed lit, and when it did draw it had ample smoke. I hope to god this is a fluke and the other 49 aren't in the same boat, as this stick seems to be packed with tobacco, but from this initial experience if the draw will cooperate these are going to smoke great right out of the box IMO. Unfortunately due to the construction issue on the first stick out of the box, I have to be honest and rate it appropriately. I will try another soon, and add a new review when I'm able to focus on the flavor profile of the cigar and not the plugged draw.

"shoulda, woulda, coulda"
I wish I had pulled the trigger on a box of these sooner. First from a cab of 50, box code UGT FEB07. Spongy and average looking, but the whiff of barnyard had me salivating the instant I got my nose into the box. Draw was ever-so-slightly loose, but not problematic. Previous reviewers cover the flavor profile well. Damp leather and earth straight away, with a peanutty note on the finish. The peanut fades by halftime, making way for chocolate and increasing spice. The earthy base flavor remains. Quite powerful by the end. (I had this after a light lunch and it ended up kicking my ass. Still, I'm tempted to go grab another as I type this.) If you can commit to 50, these can be had at <$7/stick.

"Very good indeed"
The cigar started ok but after the 1/3 third it became more complex than many big and shiny names. This cigar has depth. Draw and burn were first class, nice ash great looks. Great surprise for me as the manager of the cigar shop wanted me to buy something else!

"Promising..."
Smoked one of these from 10/02 last weekend. I'm not disappointed in my inability to wait. Even with no time to stabilize, this stick really performed. Wonderful prelight aroma, unlike any other box I've had before. Stick burned like a champ until final third. Wonderful woody smoke with a distinct salty aftertaste...again, unlike any other marca I've tried. I can't wait to try one after it has settled!

"Good"
This was a very nice cigar. The wrapper was one of the ugliest I've seen with several water spots and some slight discoloration, but the flavor was great. It tasted of general Cuban tobacco with a dusting of white pepper, but it also had a character that I can't adequately put into words. In short, I enjoyed it. In most cases, I'd probably reach for a Bolivar or Partagas over this cigar, but I would definitely fire one up every once in a while.

OK looking cigar that switched from medium to full bodied. Taste was soil.spice.peanut-butter (you heard me). More tobacco flavor came in as the cigar went along and the character of the spice flavor changed throughout. The draw was great and gave up a lot of smoke. The burn needed attention from start to finish. This was a strange and surprising cigar that I really enjoyed.

"Great cigar"
I have a couple of these sitting in my humidor that I have been gifted, but had yet to light one up...big mistake. A friend gave me one yesterday at a herf, and it was a great smoke! Had that little twang to it that reminded me of Partagas flavor, medium bodied and very smooth. Perfect draw and burn in much less than ideal smoking conditions. I will definitely be pulling these out on a regular basis.

"One of my all-time favorites."
I cracked open a box of 02 SLR A's tonight, and boy am I glad I did. One of my all-time favorites, this cigar started off with hints of cedar. About 1/3 the way through, very nice and welcome hints of tobacco came to join the party. Yum. Then out of nowhere, loads of spice come barging in to let me know I needed to strap in for the rest of it. Needless to say, my fingers are still recovering from the burn after nubbing this bad boy. The construction was flawless. I tried to ash it after about an inch of lovely silver and black ash formed and I couldn't! The wrapper was a very attractive dark caramel color. Not too oily either. Draw was perfect in my opinion and the aroma of the smoke was intoxicating. This cigar will never let you down!

"Tasty"
From a Cabinet of 50, I have had three sticks. I love them. The first sample had a slightly tight draw. The next two samples were perfect in draw. All three had great flavor. Full-flavored and medium-bodied, Serie A is a joy to puff. I look forward to enjoying every cigar from this cabinet.

"Now Hear This"
This is a great underrated smoke. For 1, there is no hype to let you down in the end, therefore it is smoked and judged on its own merit. I agree with those who have said the looks are to be desired however the construction from my 02 box is wonderful. The taste is all Cuban, with some complexity to it. Full of creamy smoke. A good value smoke in my opinion for someone looking to experience what a Cuban is all about.

"taste great, less filling"
From Jun 03. Goes down smooth from start to finish. Had after a meal with water. What a tasty treat. Honey smooth with sweet smelling smoke that non smokers commented on as well. Medium strenght may not be enough for the seasoned vet that prefer full bodied. This is more like a very good light beer.

Nice size, enough girth to provide a nice draw and lots of smoke. Smooth medium body taste with subtle twang. Not the first cigar that I would think of buying a box of - but on the other hand they are nicely priced.

Not the best looking cigar in the world, but built well. Started out a medium-full cedar.soil.herbs flavor then picked up some cream.tobacco and went to more of a straight up medium as it went along. Draw and burn were fine. Overall, quite nice.

"Good cigar with medium flavor"
This is a well-rolled offering in one of the milder Habanos lines. I like the size and really appreciate the care that goes into these. Medium strength with mild cream and cedar, these are refined and are best enjoyed early in the day.

Great size for an afternoon drive although I did wish it had lasted longer. I agree with the herbal quality..Nice medium smoke. Rumpled dark wrapper. Not a pretty cigar. Burned well without need of repair. Dark grey ash that held well. Good, easy draw. Nice cigar for the size
