The more of these I smoke the more I appreciate them. The small size belies the great enjoyment. Subtle, rich earth and spice flow freely. All too soon the experience ends. Bravo.

"Firm draw.."
This is classic example of how a promising good tres petit corona,a size small enough for quick a smoke with a nice coffee, can spoil your morning or afternoon. I bought a box of 25 of El Principe after succesfully trying a box of 5. Having now smoked half of the box i can say that it cost me double the price as half of these otherwise fine small cigars were plugged and the rest had at least firm draw spoiling my smoking experience. I repeatedly found out,at the expense of my pocket that small gauge cubans often suffer from tight draw. Robustos and hermosos are usually ok,coronas gordas also with few exceptions but with petit coronas, marevas and minutos the risk of being plugged is high not to mention perfectos(Divinos) from Cuaba. A shame because these are really fine smokes..

"Definately a Keeper"
This was the second of two sticks I had. The first one, (3-27-07), was good, but this one was awesome. It had a full but smooth flavor of rich, dark chocolate with warm spices and mild coffee. I smoked it down to half an inch and it stayed amazing the entire time. This is absolutely a cigar to keep on-hand at all times. It's among the best short smokes on the market and it could easily be enjoyed by a rookie or a serious smoker.

"There are worse and better...."
I was pretty concerned when I lit this cigar as a bad run began to occur. It only began to even out at the 1/2 way point. It lost its flavor as the cigar went on, and that is a shame since I was able to taste some creamy notes when I began the stick. The ash was flaky throughout the cigar, but not as bad toward the end. There were large plumes of smoke throughout the stick but it could not make up for the lack of taste. I hope they get better with time....I'm sure they will because their pyramid is top notch.

"uggh, very bad"
I had high hopes. It was an '06 with a few months of age on it and a beautiful wrapper. Unfortunately, it tasted like dirt and manure after the first couple minutes and continued that way. It was horrible. I threw it out about 2/3 of the way through it was so bad. This is atypical for such a smoke, but it was really bad today. I would let them sit a year or two and pray. This was one of the worst cigars I have tried. It was shocking for what is supposed to be a good smoke. I might try again in a year and see if it was in a critically sick period.

"I agree with ToroTom"
The aroma was the best part of this cigar. Not to say that the flavor was bad, it just didn’t match up to the fragrant smell. Still, I enjoyed it very much and smoked it down to less than half an inch. During that time it never got harsh or bitter. The exact flavors were hard to describe, but they were rich, earthy and smooth. There was a hint of something throughout the smoke that I can't put in to words - maybe mint? Whatever it was, it created a unique, enjoyable and wonderfully aromatic smoke, but I’ll have to try another before I decide whether or not to reserve it a place in the humidor.

"Inconsistent, but terrific if you're lucky."
I've had three of these little guys now. The first one would have me believe that this is the finest small cigar in the world, filled with strength and complexity, but never harsh. The second one was merely ordinary, and the third one was filled with an unpleasant, tarry taste that ruined the whole smoke around halfway through, paired with an overtight draw. I will revisit it in time, I'm sure, but it's simply not consistent enough to justify the purchase of a full box.

"Great Aroma"
Fired up this pc and was met with a dense cloud of spicy smoke. The burn was perfect all the way down, and the draw was firm but generous. Very pleasant aroma -- bready with some soft spice that is never overpowering. The flavor is dark -- earthy with a little sulfur. A moderate finish and mild aftertaste. I found this cigar was best enjoyed slowly to enjoy the aroma, but I wasn't totally sold on the flavor.

"Good"
Bought in Antibes, smoked in Cannes...can life get better? That said, the little prince is a very good one, full of typical cuban flavours and strong enough to keep me awake after a lunch based on oyster and white wine...
Some construction problem (could not stay lit in the wind) did not materially harm the experience. Good value too.

Spicy, easy draw, burns clean and straight, produces tons of smoke. All around this way a very, very good cigar. 30-45 minutes of cigar smoking pleasure. Medium strength and full flavor. I smoked mine fresh off the truck and it was great. I'm sure with a little age they will be even better.

"Nice little cigar"
Much like the reviewers before me, I found this little gar packed a nice punch. Started with mostly earthy flavors but found some nice coffee tones the second half. Add a smooth draw and razor sharp burn, and a little Cuban twang and it all added up to a nice short smoke.

"A great value."
Like the Punch Petit Coronations Tubos, this cigar is a moderately-priced quality Habano. This cigar started out medium with a nutty and woody flavor and a bit of spice. After a bit it turned mild/medium and woody, then built a bit towards the end with the characteristic coffee/char notes and a very pleasant smooth finish. With a slightly stronger flavor I would really love this cigar, but it ranks as one of the best mild/medium cigars that I've had.

"Much too small"
As I have said before, I don't really like small sticks, this one is no exception. The construction was nice and for a small smoke it was a nice looking cigar. Unfortunately, I didn't get the flavor I was hoping for after reading the reviews on this one. I did get a little earthy flavor, but thats about it. This smoke was a gift, so it served its purpose of exposing me to a variety of ISOM smokes. This is not one that I will be purchasing in the future.

A really nice medium bodied little Havana. Hints of chocolate interspersed with notes of coffee are noteworthy. A nice little spicy twang was present also. Smoked it down to about an inch & had to pick it up out of the ashtray for a couple more puffs. BTW, the burn & draw was faultless.

"Chocolate earth"
It might lack the intense spice of the Bolívar Coronas Junior. It may not possess the powderkeg 'pop' of the Cohiba Siglo I. And it definitely doesn't display quite the complexity of a Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas. What the San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe DOES have in abindance, however, is as consistently tasty a combination of chocolate and Cuban earth as you're likely to find anywhere. It more than earns its keep on that basis alone!
