"Fantastic!"
This is one beautiful smoke. A slick sheen on the dark chocolate wrapper looks great. Took a few points off for the extremely tight draw, but otherwise very well constructed. Crazy long ash--it fell off only 3 times during the entire 90 minute smoke. Consistent mocha, slightly earthy flavor throughout, picked up a hint of raisin midway. Mild-medium body. Highly recommended, I loved it!

"On my"
Sweet smell before lighting, kind of like cherries. Lots of smoke, gorgeous dark wrapper, good construction but it cracked open in the middle, I think due to excessive moisture. First half very toasty, warm and rich, second half a bit stronger, but still rich and full flavor. Never been much of a Sancho Panza fan until now.

"a super mild sweet maduro"
The construction is first rate nice dark wrapper and a great mellow smell. once lit it has a sweet mild taste and almost a rum taste. The smoke has a nice scent and the ash is a nice white, ash stays on only about a inch but needed no touching up. the taste really did not develop as I hoped, but all said it is a solid very mild cigar that anyone would enjoy.

"Mild flavor and value"
Had these in the humi for a while and smoked one on a road trip recently. Now I remember why I bought these. Lots of rich smoke with some cocoa and spice. Cap came unwrapped part way when cut, but I "licked" it back on (a better cutter might help). No other problems with construction or burn. Got a little more strength and flavor toward the end. Over an hour of pleasure out of this one - enjoy.

"Oh, my god!"
A most excellent smoke. Loads of flavor, no harshness what-so-ever. One of the best maduros I've ever had, and I've had hundreds. Flavor builds even more about half-way. A very relaxing smoke, even without sipping liquor.

"Big & mild."
Very mild, clean tasting maduro that puts out smoke like a locomotive whether you're puffing it or not. Well aged and slightly under filled feeling light in the hand and causing a fast, but perfect, burn. The cap, forget about it, it's like they just found a scrap of leaf stuck it on. Smokers that like mild maddies will be in love with the Escudero. Now, business does begin to pick up a little in the strength department after the first third but medium is still a long way off. This is a very good cigar at the right time. I look forward to having one for breakfast very soon.

"A suprise"
WOW...I got this cigar as part of the JR cigar Halloween surprise sampler and wasn't impressed with what I got........Except for this. Upon lighting it was nothing special, a medium body, getting better and better as time went. I was a great construction especially for a very large cigar. Overall It is a great value cigar. Some nice complexity and balanced.....

"Yummy Value Cigar."
Nearly 6 months of aging produced a handsome, dark reddish brown, maduro wrapper. Burn was a bit uneven but OK.
Draw was fine. Cap became loose upon punching but stayed in place with a bit of saliva. This cigar excelled in flavor. Deep rich bursts of mocha, chocolate, light spice, and much like twomartini's mentioned, something sort of red wine fruitiness came through within a slightly sweet, meaty, chewy, tobacco base. I found this cigar mostly medium in body, never boring, and suprisingly delicious. I got this in a sampler. I will enter $3 PP.

"tasty cakes"
Great taste! Starts out nice and creamy; and then the dark chocolates, redolent dark red fruits and heavy wine flavors begin to build and build and build. A smooth smoke that will grow a long white ash. I've had some issues with the cap popping off after the intitial cut, but I just give it a lick and press it back on (not sure if its my cutter (Credo) or just my technique), certainly a minor flaw for such a wonderful cigar. Highly recommended.

"A solid Maduro"
I have a box of these and thus I may re-rate when I have gone through a larger quantity, but this review is based on a solid three smokes.

First of all, the construction of this cigar is great. The wrapper is rich, oily and smooth. Of the three that I've smoked, none have had draw problems and the burn was relatively even. The one that I had just a few minutes ago started out a touch uneven but quickly smoothed out to a flat ring all around.

Now on to the flavor. This cigar had that typical maduro zest to it. A few puffs left a creamy sweetness but overall the flavor stayed consistent throughout the entire smoke. The last third of the cigar very smokeable, although still pretty singular in flavor.

My final opinion is that this cigar is a very solid double maduro, albeit not an extremely exciting one. I hope that the next sticks I smoke develop more of that sweetness that I tasted on a few puffs with age, but even if they don't, this is still a very good, bang-for-your-buck cigar.

"Not bad at all"
Once again, a great looking stick. Many maduro's have a leg up on their lighter shade brothers as far as that goes. The flavor was a bit too mild to stand up to other maduros that have similar pricetages (Arturo and Compay). Not bad, just look for a 2-3$ deal before you try.

"Inconsistent"
I only wish that they'd be as good as they sometimes are all the time, then I might get some more....but I've given up on the brand as a whole due mainly to consistency issues (and I mean ISSUES). It's easy to hope when the price is so low, but I'm done with the honduran Sancho Panza line. My ratings are for the average example of quality derived from a full box.

"Grade A stick"
Beautiful glossy wrapper and nice feel. Construction looked good and it lit well, but the overall experience suffered from two "voids" in the filler that caused a very uneven burn in spots - I think this was a fluke (but a good roller should know better). The box-press made it really hard to even this out. Also tunneled near the end, forcing a re-light. Burned real even and slow, however, with lots of beautiful, mildly fragrant smoke. Peppery ash that held for a good 3/4 of an inch.

Started slightly sweet with a raisan/floral flavor expertly counterbalanced by earthly, toasty tone - no peppery or spicy flavors present at all. Taste was as smooth as a baby's bottom, with an excellent draw (if not a tad on the loose side). Earthy undertone predominates the closer you get to the end. In all actuality, this cigar benefits from a hotter burn, so taking it down to the nub is a pleasent surprise.

Franly speaking, didn't want this stick to end. Despite the construction problems, it's an excellent cigar, and worth the money.

"Believe the hype!"
Started the New Year's Eve festivities with one of these cigars...it turned out to be a very good decision! This cigar has a dark, oily, wrapper that is firm and glossy. Upon lighting, this smoke had a slow, even burn that produced a very tight white/grey ash. The construction was perfect. As the draw was enough to fill the palate, but not overwhelming. The taste was very multi-dimensional, as it had a presentation of several flavors worth mentioning; at first it was a heavy chocolate/cocoa flavor that had mild leather and earthy undertones, at other times, it was a robust charred flavor, with cocoa and expresso undertones...at all times it was smooth and delightful. Can't beat this one for the price!

"what a smoke!"
What a beautifully constructed cigar. Very even gorgeous dark wrapper that gives off a nice oily sheen. Very impressive right out of the box. No troubles lighting it, although I had to roll it once to even out the burn. Nothing unusual for a box pressed stoggie. The draw was very impressive. As well constructed inside as it looks on the outside. Taste is fantastic. First ten puffs or so had a robust and spicy flavor, which quickly mellowed out. Very very tasty. Subtle changes as the cigar progresses. Tight white ash that fell off after 2 inches, only to start another long ash. Hated to put it out. Felt like a cigar noob afterwards, as I was not prepared for the buzz that nearly put me on my keester. Was not prepared for that due to the sweet and mellow taste! Nice smoke!!! I feel like I'm giving up a secret fishing hole leaving this review!

I have now been through three boxes of these and they are very good smokes. Absolutely on par with Honduran Hoyos, Punch and LaGlorias. Consistent, beautiful, well aged, potent and full of dark chocolate and raisin flavors. Did I mention that they are also half the price of their competition?
