"went flat"
Started off good, then went flat. I've noticed inconsistency with these blend wise. Instead of getting it "right", they'll just introduce another cigar.

"1st NC"
Ive been smoking since the mid-90s cigar boom and sampled a few non-cubans back then and was not pleased. Since then my connection supplies me with Cuban Cohibas every month. this cigar I sampled when he wasnt able to get em this month, I went to my b&m and told the man my likes and he suggested this beauty , he said it had a similar profile to some cubans and i lit this baby. I didnt think it was a cuban copy but really stood on its own in a good way in a really good way. Good spice with leather and i did get some of a cinnamon note with a long aftertaste I enjoy. I smoked this real early in the day On an empty stomach and got a slight buzz, although didnt get me sick. The end of the cigar I stayed true and went to med- full pretty quick without getting hot or tarry(which is a downside to alot of cubans). Overall ... Ill put it this way I hope he cant get the cubans next month , cause im buyin a box of Tatuaje.

"Excellent"
Typical Pepin flavor. A little less pepper than some others. Excellent draw and burn. No bitterness near the end. Smoth all the way. My new favorite.

"worth the money"
I can believe this cigar is scoring less on this site than a no more than average cigar the Oliva serie V - serie V barely has 1/3 of the complexity that this cigar has and its almost the same price. If you want a great cigar that develops into a woody nutty spicy masterpiece get this cigar. If you want a hyped bundle style cigar get the serie V and get bored.

"Awesome"
Rich, full flavor but not overpowering. Tons of earthy leather and spice. Definitely more expensive than the average cigar, (I paid $10), but also tremendously more enjoyable than the average cigar.

"Nice full-bodied smoke..."
Began with a cinnamon like spiciness, and then switched to a earthy core. Perfect ash and burn.

"Thanks Pete"
I smoked 3 of these before writing this review and I must say that all were top notch. I had an even burn throughout the entire cigar down to an inch. The cigar had a beautiful looking wrapper without any noticeable veins. Typical Pepin construction. As for flavor it has a nice spice and leather taste but I recommend eating something before lighting this one up. Good, easy draw with lots of smoke and awesome aroma. If you are a person looking through these reviews wondering if you should pay the $8-9 for a stick, I say this cigar is a must buy.

"Pepin-ish"
Yes, and the word Pepin usually means good. No exception here as I enjoyed this cigar to below 2". Nice and spicy to start but then just toasty leathery flavor and nice aroma. Burn was perfect. Recommended.

"Tatuaje Classic Regios natural"
Didn't think much of this cigar. Had high hopes after reading review, but couldn't even finish it. Especially lacking considering the $9 price. Wouldn't smoke another.

"Very Good But not the Grail"
Straightforward quality Pepin-grade smoke: lots of smooth cocoa, but not as much pepper as I expected. Mostly just high quality tobacco flavor. The body builds gradually from medium to full and there's an expected nicotine kick at the end, but nothing tremendous. A very good middle of the road Nicaraguan puro. I was led to believe this was an incredible smoke, but "incredible" is pushing it. It's just very good, which is often quite sufficient.

Ive had other Tats and i usually dont rate a cigar after only smoking one but this was dam good. typical pepin spice, very smooth, great burn and constuction. i will now show some restraint and let my box sit a few months and see what happens(i have a feeling i know already!).

"nice"
Had one tonight from a Feb 07 box. The cigars in this cab are more oscuro than rosado. Beautiful looking stick with great construction. Burned well with some minor touchups. Starts off balanced with spice and sweetness. Cocoa and coffee with a nice finish. Really looking forward to the rest of these.

The pre-light aroma of this cigar alone is worth the admission price. Everything about this cigar is intoxicating if you enjoy a full bodied cigar.

"Almost 3 months."
I know it's earth shattering but just 3 months has turned this into a first class stogie. The burn has improved and the flavors are great as compared to raw power in the first from the box. Coffee and leather with a hint of licorice but the tobacco flavor sets this one apart from the good cigars. I hate to see it end. I was planning to smoke one a month to make them last as a special treat but I don't think I have that much will power. I get it now.

"Gangbusters!"
The first few puffs almost blew my head off with strength and pepper, the next few hinted of a great experience to come. Seems everyone has their opinion of what is needed to make this cigar better. Leave it out of the box, leave the box out, age it for various periods of time, etc. I touched it up several times and think time will remedy that. Other than the burn problems I think these are great. If you like strong, full cigars from the Pepin stable you owe it to yourself to try these.

"Another great cigar"
I don't know what it is but, ever since i've joined this site, I've had great luck with picking cigars. This one was another great cigar for me. Very earthy and smooth. Love it, a little pricey though.

This cigar had a little over a year on it and was great. Flawless construction, lots of smoke, perfect draw. Lots of pepper and spice, but not overpowering. Creamy nutty taste on the finish, would like to see the price come down though.

"Excellent smoke"
This is a very good looking oily toro. The wrapper is a very dark brown with an oily sheen. The bunching is solid and uniform throughout. The band is a simple brown ring with Tatuaje written in script.
Prelight aroma is feint with an initial draw providing just a slight tobacco taste with a touch of spice. The initial puffs provided a surprisingly smooth taste of wood and tobacco. There is no initial burst of pepper or spice, just a smooth tobacco with a touch of underlying floral taste on the finish. The finish is short and light with smooth woody and floral notes.
Both draw and smoke volume are very good. The smoke is not thick and coating but it is tasty and smooth.
Past the half-way point, the cigar has increased slightly in intensity. There is now a touch of spice and some zestiness on the tongue. The predominant flavor is still a woody characteristic and there is still a slight floral undertone. The finish is still short and clean. Going into the last third, this cigar has definitely progressed. The increase in intensity and spice is still subtle, but definitely more pronounced than at the begining.
The cigar burned very straight with a solid light gray ash. The aroma is light and slightly sweet with some cocoa scents.
This cigar has a fantastic smoothness while still having a medium body. You could easily smokes these all day long (if you could afford them).
As I progress through the 2nd third the woodiness has picked up a bit. I keep saying to myself, that I was expecting more from this cigar. I’m thoroughly enjoying it, but the hype must have made me expect something more complex and possibly stronger in body. This is a more subtle smoke. Smooth and solid medium in body.
This cigar burned perfectly the whole way through. It provided a nice rich medium bodied flavor and is medium strength. Overall its very enjoyable, not harsh in the least bit. Very smooth and top quality. However, I think it would be more suited for an afternoon smoke, where the Don Pepin Blue labels and JJ provide a bit more of a satisfying evening smoke.

"Born in the USA"
They construct some fine cigars down in Miami, which is this cigar's best quality. I really like the color, cap, and draw it had to offer, which made the smoke all the more enjoyable. This is probably the best "American" cigar I have ever had. Definitely worth the money to try one.

"Continual burn issues"
Smoked a few of these now. Strong cigar that is toasty and nutty. It appears to take an inch or so before it comes into itself. Smoke to the nub as peppery overtones kick in. Great aroma and great draw. Not impressed with burning issues (especially for the price), as uneven burning was annoying, which reflects such with my score. Still trying to find a reason to buy a box of these.

"Padron's rival!"
THis is the only other non-cuban puro ive had that im in love with. Padron mastered Nicaraguan puros and tatuaje took the theme and ran! Every smoke in every size has at least 3 clear, perfect caps. they drip in oils and there flavor is almondaine and very exotic. On the map, officially.

"complex"
A simply wonderful smoke. A robusto grande that has more complexity than most churchills out there right now. It has all the same tatuaje qualities as the other sizes only that it seems to be a perfect size for this blend. A near perfect construction. Excellent draw. Tons of powerful tobacco flavors that warp into a toasted wood like taste about half way down. Lots of spice on the nose. A very pleasant cuban tasting finish. Solid thick ashes. I love this cigar.

"Complex!!"
This is a beautiful looking stick that is rolled firm, but not so firm it is like a brick. Has a nice dark brown wrapper with a reddish hew and some dark spots. The cap was a nice triple cap that punched very easy. The pre-light draw was perfect and you could taste toasted wood and spice. Started up easy with no lighting problems. First few draws were very spicy and woody as the pre-light draw elluded to. About half an inch in it mellowed out with light spice, toasted wood, and leather. This thing changes on you about every 3/4 inches. It had a gambet of flavors mentioned above along with coffee, floral, and spice notes. Overall this is one of the most complex cigars I have ever had. The only down side I had was a couple of burn problems that corrected themselves. I take blame because the smoke was so good I huffed it too much.

"Good Cigar"
I had one of these that was gifted to me last night and it wasn't bad. Very nice construction. The draw was a little loose. It started out spicey, but mellowed out, and the first third was very good, but after that nothing exciting. I'd grab a fiver, but don't think I'd buy a box yet.

"Strong"
These are pretty cigars, with nice looking construction. Mine had a bit of tunneling and poor wrapper burn that reminded me of the infamous fireproof H2000 wrappers from you know where. I also found that these cigars start off quite srong, nice taste though, and seemed to get smoother as it went, until the last third where it became more peppery. Unquestionably a fine cigar. Taste is decidedly Nicaraguan, but quite well blanded. Mixed bag review as the price took the value down a bit .. although they are competing with the likes of Padron 64s and VSGs. Most definately worth a try if you like Nic smokes.

"Compare to 0PUS X and Padron Ann......"
I would put this smoke in the same catagory as the smokes mentioned above! The quality and appearance are top notch, but it is only the first time I sampled these wonderful smokes. Perfect draw, burned evenly and is complex enough to wonder what spices you are actually trying to identify. I found a chocolatey, cocoa leathery sort of flavor, similiar to Padron Ann. Maduro. It was on the fuller bodied side with excellent balance. It started out spicey, then about 1/3 into it, I noted how smooooth and mellloow it became. Finish was great, and this cigar is a real treat every once in a while to really appreciate it. I highly recommend this stogie for the more seasoned smoker! I hate to hurt the review with a low value rating, but I don't think a cigar should cost that much!

"Very pleased"
My tobacconist reccomended these to me and I have been very pleased. I love every size I have tried so far. Full bodied, spicey, complex, they're all great. I'm aging the double corona for my college graduation(hopefully) in next December. Can't wait.

"age these"
Finally tracked these down and had one with a latte on a Saturday. Great construction, perfect razored burn, and robust taste. Started out smooth with a toasted note then got a bit spicy a quarter way through. Settled to a smooth even flavor the rest of the smoke. BTW--great draw and lots of smoke. Only thing was, as I was smoking, I thought it tasted a bit green at times, so my bet is this is a great cigar for the humidor. I think it'll bring out a bit more of the toasted chocolate flavor more distinctly. But, good cigar and I hope to find more--which wasn't easy.

"camacholike but better"
I was first drawn to this line because of the corojo leaf. I love it in the camacho corojos and this is very similar IMO but even better. These nicaraguan corojos are stronger and slightly more complex than their honduran counterparts. That is a very big plus for corojo fans.

"Pick the Blackest, darket one you can find"
Awesome cigar. The one word of advice though, pick the darkest wrapper you can find. They just bring out the personality of this cigar out better. Construction, flawless. Flavor, unbeatable. Appear ance, the way all cigars should be. Overall smoking experience, be with friends so they can you to your car. Value, I rather buy a box if I can get it for a price break. This cigar will be smoked by the box not by the stick.
