"An enjoyable smoke"
Great looks and flavor, marred only by a one inch run over a hard spot. Great draw and an otherwise decent burn. For the money, give me a J21 or Verocu No. 2.

"One of the best."
A great cigar that beats the Cubans I've tried so far. AT $9 a pop I expect good things and I was not disappointed. Strong spice and underlying creaminess are the foundation for the woody, earthy flavors that evolve throuhout this fine smoke. Delicious and satisfying what more could you ask?

"Hmmm..."
After much anticipation after reading the reviews, the raves, the CA rating and I must say I was definitely unimpressed with this stick. Flavor wise it was quite good (very Pepin); however, the construction made this cigar extremely frustrating to smoke. A poor, uneven burn with flowering / flaking of the ash. I expected much more from a $12 stick. I am very disappointed.

"Man, I'm movin' to Nicaragua!"
I've smoked an awful lot of cigar...and a lot of awful cigars. This one, however, is easily among the top five I've ever enjoyed. Deep, rich, perfectly made therefore perfectly burned, subtleties yes - but mostly just the best damn flavor of just about anything out there. Man, I'm movin' to Nicaragua!

"I finally found one!"
This cigar exceeded my expectations. A friend recommended Tatuaje cigars while we were on vacation in New Hampshire. They are hard to find. The dark red wrapper packs a full bodied punch of leather, cherry and spice. A nice long finish.

"Elk Twin is right on target"
This long cigar has a peppery start that smooths out into a spicy flavored smoke that will give you a nice buzz. The construction was excellent with a very nice draw and an even burn. Overall this was a very enjoyable but slightly pricey experience.

"Nicaragua is the new Cuba"
Padron and Tatuaje are making some of the best non-cubans on the market right now. THis is a perfect example. Excellent construction, with a Padron-like draw. Oily with 4 perfect caps
the smoke is very spicey, not peppery but full of black tea ish spices. I reccomend a cabinet of this line... the size is up to you!

"Way Underfilled: Overproduction?"
The entire Tatuaje has been getting a lot of press in the last few years. All Nicaraguan tobacco with Cuban-style rolling done in the USA. Seems like the perfect matchup. Several of the sticks in the line have been rated extremely high by CA, so I thought I'd give one a try. Triple cap and oily wrapper looked very nice. Unfortunately it was marred by the loosest draw ever. Just wasn't an enjoyable smoke since it kept going out. I gave up on it after 2 inches. The flavor that did come through was spicy and full-bodied. My local B&M says that the boxes he's been getting in have been severely underfilled. I believe this is a result from overcompensating for some plugged sticks Tatuaje was having before. I got another stick (not Tainos) to replace this one. Hoping for a better experience, but the replacement feels light and has soft softs near the band. For the $12 MSRP, these sticks shouldn't be having this many construction problems, which is probably due to increased production despite what the official reports are. If you are going to get a stick or a box, make sure you check it for underfilling.

"One of the best"
With a nearly flawess wrapper and nice cap, this is a beautiful cigar. For a big cigar it feels light between your fingers and the draw is slightly loose, but it has an even burn, forms a nice ash, and puts out a huge amount of smoke. Although the construction suggests an underfilled cigar, it's actually packed with complex flavor: it's leathery and peppery at the start with dark chocolate and nuts appearing later and turning creamy towards the end. This full-bodied smoke left me wobbly afterwards, but it was worth it. It's also worth the $12 price tag. No. 4 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2005.

"wonderfull"
Very spicy and full bodied, though not as concentrated as the smaller ones. Let it sit for a few weeks at least for best effect.

"cubanesque"
A fantastic smoke. Superb balance. Very complex flavors. Woody and spicey with some powerful tobacco flavor, yet smooth to the end. Will improve drastically with age. Well worth every $ spent.

"Very nice"
I let this one sit for about two months. I probably should have waited a bit longer but my patience ran out. Very nice smoke. Burn wasn't perfect as I had to correct it once. I didn't find this to be a strong cigar; maybe medium-bodied at best. Flavor was good. Thick smoke with a salt and pepper ash which held together pretty well. Too pricey to put in the rotation but one to keep in the 'dor for those times when time is not an issue.

"Awesome"
I got this right from the factory on Calle Ocho on a cigar buying trip. Perfectly rolled with a beautiful wrapper and triple cap. It was dripping with oil and was just all around excellent smell and sheen. The flavor was awesome with a nice intense spice. I bought two of these and will be aging the other with great expectations.

"Long Term Hold"
Great cuban style cigar with traditional triplecap. Oily and smooth. Prelight taste is strong tobacco. First third was strong and peppery the last two thirds brought out great flavor and some sweetness. This cigar is going to do great with age.

"Better be sitting down"
WOW! Long and strong. Great tasting blend that just kicked the chair out from under me. Glad I ate before smoking this monster. It's too bad these are so expensive, because they are epic smokes.
