"Applause for the Ovation"
I've never had an Alec Bradley cigar that wasn't above average! The Cameroon Ovation Monarch is the exclamation mark at the end of that sentence. This cigar is consistent with it's burn and draw. There is also a little complexity to the taste. The first half was a moderate cameroon spicy-twang which might be the citrus taste that "ASHMAN" mentioned. Somewhere near the middle this cigar becomes a bit more earthy and becomes a knotch stronger. Still, I'd consider this a medium bodied smoke. I have to give a round of applause to the Ovation.

"Let 'em sit a little"
I ordered a bundle of these, and tried one when they arrived. It started with a peppery blast and the rest of the stick was not quite as smooth as I had hoped. Fast forward a couple of months in the humi and WOW, fantastic cameroon smoke. The spicey blast has mellowed and the cigar is now a smooth cameroon treat with voluminous smoke, and a great draw and burn. Another thing I like is that these cigars have a heavy duty wrapper that can take a little abuse when traveling.

"Fine Cammie with a Kick"
The round editions of the Trilogy line have become somne of my favorite cigars. The Cameroon Monarch here is no exception. The wrapper leaf is smooth and fragrant, the cigar is well packed and dense from head to foot, and no draw problems have been encountered thus far. Starts out like a typical premium cameroon, with a medium sweet spice. Smoke is plentiful and creamy. What separates this cammie for me is the filler strength. While the cameroon taste is always apparent, this is a high side of medium stick. And it works perfectly, the flavor of the wrapper leaf isnt overpowered throughout, almost like smoking 2 cigars in one!

"Flavorful cammy"
Leather, wood and citrus notes made this a very complex cigar. Believe it or not my buds detected orange and lemon creme blended with the typical cameroon flavors. Body moved from the mild side of medium, in the first half, to the strong side of medium in the second. Leather and wood dominated the last third. It did require touchups and purging btu the draw was good and the ash held pretty well. A good smoke for the morning or afternoon.

"Great cigar in Cameroon wrapper"
The wrapper was dark brown with a distinct grain. Lighting it up was a pleasure. It had a slightly sweet aroma & a super draw for a 54 ring cigar. The white-gray ash burnt evenly and the taste had a medium body with the thick enjoyable flavor that only a cameroon can provide.
