Great cigar. Smoooooth! Did I say smoooth? But you better have 2 hrs to enjoy it. Not over the top in taste or strength, but smooth. Draw was v.good, burn was excellent, some flavour but not harsh or overpowering. But I liked the subtle flavours. Did I mentioned how smooth it was? You got the picture. A must in the humidor.

Here is a wonderful looking cigar. The prelight aroma is to die for. The construction is perfect but this cigar really lack flavor. The first half of the smoke is so light I really did not taste anything. The 2nd half had some nice undertones of spice but not enough.

"Stellar"
Smoked one last night at Club Macanudo in NYC along side a Padron Anniversary Imperial Maduro. It's hard to compare them since they are very different, but I really enjoyed them both. This guy is not as strong as one would think, but had plenty of cream and leather flavors like you only find in a Cuban. Flawless construction and draw and wow did it give off smoke. Expensive but justified.

Amazing probably the 2nd best cigar I have ever smoked. The price is high, but this is one of the few cigars that are worth the price. Well constructed, the oily rapper seems to glisten in the light. A good full flavor cigar that is not harsh. This is a A+++ cigar.

have a box from '04 sleeping in the back of my cabinet humidor for 2 years..I remember these as being exceptional but they have changed with age..still show all the brawny flavors and strength, but are so smooth. perfect construction, wrapper glistening w/ oils. I was upset when it came to an end. Flavors of leather, cream, spice and cedar..woth the money and worth the wait..age these if you can, it's worth it!

"How cant you?"
Mmm mmm! ive one fresh and one 2 years old and both were impressive. the younger had a brief finale, gaining too much heat at half way, but the mature was finger burning.

The cap drips oils... the smell is almondaine, the draw looser for a habano but very rewarding. The falvor wa a Fundadores on acid... extreme full flavor in a medium-full pakage keeping your gills from green. Highly reccomended, the best botique toto in Cuba???

"Below Par"
I may of had too high expectations for this 2 year old Trinidad. I have had both Reyes and Colonials that have been very fine indeed. I love the size of the RE. Its construction, burn and draw were all top notch. The first 1/6 of the smoke was acrid. This soon mellowed out. Flavours were just muted and boring. And albeit for some toffee notes, I tasted a lot of tea... This smoke simply never blew my socks off. I kept thinking I would be happier smoking a Hoyo DC.

"Good, but needs age"
I bought a box of these for quite a bit of money, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed at first. I then turned the box over and realized these babies had been rolled in November 06 (Extremely young, one would think they'd keep this at least a few months before distributing). The construction is top notch, like all cubans I've smoked, but I got a bit of a tight draw. Very subtle flavors on this medium bodied smoke, but again this is probably due to its young age. I will rate this again in 6 months or so to record any changes.

"Awesome Cigar"
Extremely well constructed. In the humidor since April, 2006. Flavor best described as dark, freshly-ground coffee, very dark chocolate and a hint of pecans. A very unique cigar flavor and definitely strong--somewhat high in nicotine. Ash not as strong as some others, but this definitely was not a distraction. Burned a bit one-sided part way through, that was corrected by a quick light of the torch. Certainly better than any Cuban Cohiba (a large sample there) to date. Not sure it is worth the extra cost, but it is/was a fantastic cigar. Smoked down to the “nub” and very enjoyable to the end.

I've had this one sitting in my humidor since August, and I finally decided to smoke the fellow. Very distinct, albeit delicious taste. Not sure how to describe it, but it was very pronounced and enjoyable. My 2nd Cuban, I have to say that it was really good and I regret not having bought a bunch more on my Carribean vacation! "After some time in the humi... Wow."
Its hefty cost is perfectly understood when you have aged these for a few months. Don't spoil it by smoking it immediately. keep it in your humidor for some time first, and you won't be disappointed, like it would seem some of the reviewers are. I cannot praise it or recommend it enough. This is my favourite Havana, period.

Amazingly overpriced for an average cigar. I was happy to have an ISOM, but if the musty flavor was what they call "classic"...then I will stick with my Dominican sticks. Burn was fine though. I will not knock their ability to roll a nice looking stick.

"Good...but"
A good cigar with lots of quality and care put into it. It was also very hard to get, even for an ISOM cigar. Chasing the unicorn often ends in disappointment though, as it did for me. It was good in flavor, not great, it was good in everything, not great. I was expecting too much for the price and availablility. I guess cigars like this are more for bragging rights than anything else.

"First Class"
Beautiful looking cigar which looks and feels serious in your hand. Excellent construction which burns almost perfectly. You get a lot of chat about refined and delicate flavours which usually means flavourless. With this stick it means big stick aroma and flavour of leather, vanilla and spice delivered in an exceptionally smooth and creamy mouthful. However there’s a criticism for every smoke, which for this stick is firstly the price (almost twice the average price paid in this forum in the UK) and that for a big stick, you’d expect it to warm up and have the flavour growing and developing with every puff, which didn’t really happen. Nevertheless a first class smoke.

"As good as the hype!"
I had some qualms and reservations about trying this cigar. This was mostly due to all the "buzz" surrounding the quality of this cigar. It had some great expectations to live up to.....and boy, did it come through. As smooth and cool as drawn butter on a sheet of ice. Subdued, yet complex tastes of creamy vanilla; an easy draw that leaves a buttery and citrus-like residue on the back of your palate with the meatiness of a hearty grain. This cigar holds a prominent place at the top of my humidor display.

The Robusto Extra is the best cigar, Cuban or other that I have smoked, and I have smoked a lot of brands. For me, a close runner-up would be the Padron 1926. The Trinidad is SMOOTH, with a very nice, even burn rate. This is a somewhat mild cigar for a Cuban, but is an absolute joy to savor

After rating all the other members of the family, here we are with the Robusto Extra. Possibly a gift, I have smoked it during a gorgeous walk in a warm evening in Rome. This RE is excellent, smooth and creamy but with strong cuban flavours, cocoa, leather, earth. Very well built, and beautiful looking, it's second to none in its segment and further proof that a range can be extended without loosing sight from inner quality. Truly a winner. Price, I believe it's in the Euro 15 range (ca $ 20) but who cares.

This is my first review since spring 2003, since there had been said enough about cigars I love and nothing worthy has been added to the cigar world, as far as I was concerned, until now. Trinidad Extra Robusto! Watch out Siglo VI! All the qualities The Cigar must have! Creamy cool smoke, aroma and flavor unique to Trinidad brand – with notes of dark chocolate beans, sweet subtle spices. I highly recommend this cigar to all Cuban cigar aficionados. "Expensive Treat"
I have generally stayed away from the Tinidad line, because of the price. Decided to give this one a try at La Casa del Habano in Tijuana. After starting off a bit slow, it blossomed into an exceptional smoke. It reminded me a lot of what the R&J Churchills used to be over a decade ago. The only problem with this cigar is the price. If you are looking to indulge, the Trinidad was as good as I've had in years.
