"Solid smoke"
No serious complaints about this smoke. The construction and burn were great--did not have to touch it up and it kept burning even though I let it sit for up to five minutes at a time. A lot of other cigars would have gone out in less time than that. I was pleased with the draw and the amount of smoke produced. Only real draw back is the price of the cigar. A few bucks less would probably work wonders for the cigar's popularity.

"A very solid smoke"
Good looking and solidly constructed, this smoke has a draw you might expect from a cigar this hard. Not impossible, you just have to fight a bit more for the smoke. Very even burning.

"top 5"
I aged this cigar for six months before a smoked it. I coupled it with a glass of Glenfiddich and it was excellent. The flavor war nearly unbeatable. I got it in a sampler for about six dollars so for me the value was perfectly adequate. I never had to touch it up and it was a beautiful thing to behold. The cigar had a subtle creamy not whith caramel, pepper, and a sweet woody taste. Having only had one I will be trying others before i bite the bullet and buy a 250 dollar box of them. It was enough to keep me interested. I definately recomend trying one.

"Consistently good smoke."
This is a well crafted, quality cigar with a medium body. Draw and burn consistently good. (Humidor has alot to do with burn). It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

"Construction was good, taste was nice!"
This was my second of the same cigar. Burn was slightly uneven, and had to be touched up 3 times. Flavor was very satisfying, though, and the smoke was pleasant, not acrid at all.

"Outstanding"
Unlike some other reviews- the first thing I noticed was how hard the gar was. A round cement block. I was concerned about draw-but it was just fine. Honestly- this is one of the better cigars I have tried this year. Leathery, dark chocolate, coffee and aged tobacco- layers of flavor. People smoke cigars for the experience. Sadly, most cigars offer only a smoke without anything else memorable. Not so with this cigar. Outstanding. I paid only 7 dollars for this cigar when it usually retails for double that. I am rating it on the price that I paid. Had it been in the normal 12-15 range- it would have reduced the overall score. This may be the highest score I've given all year.

"Trinidad Belicoso"
Appearance - good colours, very invting. The wrapper was a bit ripped but held together. Started out with some mild and pleasant spice which continued into a medium bodied cigar that I smoked to the the nub. An excellent toast after a day long baseball tournament with a Beehive Lager and right before Ribfest.

"Mixed review"
I bought two of these sticks and thought they were beautiful to behold. I have never enjoyed the aroma of a cigar before smoking it as much as I did this one. The first burned horribly on one side and was one of the worst smoking experiences of my life. I lit the second one the very next day with fingers crossed. It burned beautifully and provided voluminous amounts of smoke. A Jeckyll and Hyde smoke if I have ever experienced one.

"always a good decision"
i think trinidad's are one of the most consistly great smokes around at a pretty good value. as far as the construction and draw both were perfect, altadis couldn't have rolled a better belicoso. the taste and smell are both great medium bodied.

"Overpriced"
A simple gold and black band like the one on Cuban Trinidads was wrapped around the square pressed classic torpedo. The golden wrapper was veiny and felt dry and papery with one small round hole near the foot, and the entire cigar was as soft as an octogenarian’s willy. In fact, the cigar was so soft, if I had felt it ahead of time I would have passed. Sadly, the clerk selected it from the case for me. It clipped cleanly and provided a pre-light flavor that was slightly sweet. So much air came through it was like sucking on a six inch piece of garden hose and I had to spit out more than a few flecks of tobacco.

Initial burst of hot, harsh, papery flavor left a bad aftertaste and soon gave way to a flat, uninspired flavor. The cigar burned hot and fast no matter how slowly I puffed, and the ash split, curled back, and flaked badly, dropping easily when tapped, probably because it was so badly under-filled. There was tons of smoke in great fluffy, boiling clouds, but the aroma was somewhat tinny. The flavor did morph about a third of the way through into a more tolerable spiciness with a hint of caramel, and the finish improved incrementally as well, but by that time the experience was tainted. The soft roll got ridiculously spongy as the cigar burned, becoming almost distracting.

I paired this cigar with a cup of espresso, and the harshness made the espresso bitter. Once it settled down though, the cigar became light bodied and medium flavored. I tried to smoke it all the way to the band, but just couldn’t get into it what with the annoying softness and the bad aftertaste, so it went out about two thirds of the way through.

Overall I was very disappointed in this cigar, but I’ve heard others praise them so I will try another some day. Unfortunately after this experience I’m inclined to wait a bit for that treat. Not recommended.

"Straightforward"
I've smoked about 6 of these & I think 3 of them had a hard draw. I got them in samplers by paying too much for a box of Altadis smokes from Thompson, so I figure I paid about $3 apiece for them. I just loved the 1st one, but they haven't impressed me near as much since then. It looks great, but a bit of a hard draw. Flashes of complexity, with some sweetness & a nice straightforward tobacco finish. The finish is the best part. Medium to full bodied. Conclusion? A good cigar. Would I pay $250+ for a box? Hell no!

"Impressive"
I was suspicious when this line was introduced, seemed like opportunism by Altadis. That having been said, this is a really good cigar. Burn was flawless, draw was almost too easy although the cigar never burned hot. Medium/Full bodied, great flavor for almost 90 minutes. A little lacking in depth. Highly recommended.
