This smoke is truly ready to smoke as received. Loads of creamy, nutty flavors with sweet spices. IMHO, a truly great smoke!

"Not bad at all"
Great looking cigar with better than average smoke, flavor and kick. There was no harshness to this smoke but a lot of spice to start off. Along the way it mellowed out but kept those good cigar overtones. I’m not sure what the knock is on this cigar? Outside of price, which lately seems to be coming down, it has great character and shows ample consistency. Am I going to blow $200 box for a box of these? Absolutely not but keeping a few in the humidor will add to my smoking enjoyment down the line.

"Good Smoke"
Good burn, no draw issues for me. Mild but tatsy. A good 5 dollar cigar but nothing spectacular, I'll try and keep a box in the humidor when they go on sale.

"Not my style"
This is a beautifully constructed cigar that burned dead even with a perfect draw and burn line. It just didn't do much for me. It was very smooth with pretty basic mild tobacco flavor. Nothing special in the flavor department but visually it was a s good as anything I have smoked this year.

"Coming into its own"
It was commented upon that this may be resting on its laurels, being a spinoff of the famed Cuban brand. However, for a spinoff, it has its own life. With a few months in the humidor it gains a strength not often seen in dominicans, but has the smooth flavor that they are known for.

"Just OK"
Got this in a JR Robusto sampler. Looks great. Perfect burn and ash. Rather boring at the start, but more smoke and flavor after the first inch. A good smoke. I'll try the Maduro when I get a chance.

"good, not great"
Overall, a pretty good smoke, but not as good as expected. I've now smoked 9 from a box I bought a few months back and was expecting just a bit more. Flavor was strong, aroma quite pleasing, but draw was a little too tight, and smoke not quite as bountiful as I like. Again, not bad at all, just not the elite smoke I'd been lead to believe it was.

"Decent Cigar but not a great cigar"
I imagine that this is another brand that is resting on its Cuban reputation. Not the same from DR.

"Trinidaddy-O"
I have to say that these cigars get a lot of hype, but for once it is really worth it. I am not sure why some people have had a bad flavor experience, but that was not a problem with this stick. Cedary all the way through, i just enjoyed this cigar for the 5 spot I dropped on it.

"Fantastic."
Best cigar I have had this year (I was sober). Handsome Ecuadorian wrapper. Perfect draw and burn. A creamy, different, and smooth flavor profile with cedar, oak, and a hint of citrus. A truly wonderful and relaxing hour and 20 minute experience to savor and remember. Awesome finish on the palate. Paid 4.25/stick. These usally go for twice that. At 4.25 a "10" in value.
(I smoked the churchill (sober) in this line a few years ago and it absolutely sucked...I have no idea why this robusto (again, I was sober) was so good...it just was.)

"wish i could afford more"
These are unique and worth the money if you appreciate a fairly strong smoke. Truely a distinctive flavor. If you've never had them and you're considering trying one, I recommend it. Among my top 3 or 5 favorites.

"Good but pricey smoke"
No. 10 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. It's a solid and well-rolled stick with a pretty wrapper. It smokes very well with an even and consistent draw and burn and a nice ash. Starts off spicy and strong, even harsh, but after an inch or so it mellows to show wood flavors and subtler spices; it may mellow too much as much of the initial strength dissipates. Half-way through it becomes creamier and nuttier, with a refreshing and slightly minty finish. The high price and the many mixed reviews may prevent people from giving this smoke a try, but I liked it, especially for the flavor changes.

"Lenny"
Remember Lenny from Of MIce and Men by Steinbeck? Kinda like this cigar-- a big strong guy without the intelligence to restrain himself. Not a bad smoke; it has a spicy aroma that gives it some character, but it's intermittent and doesn't really balance out the strength. Definitely not worth the retail price--this one came from a JR sampler, so I can't complain too much.

"Ugh...$9? Kiss my ash..."
Have you ever accidently had your cigar fall into the ashtray to have some nasty residual ash stick to the tip? Stanky funk is exactly what this stick tasted like...Great construction, great burn and ash, but the flavor did nothing for me...and its ALL about the flavor. I was very disappointed.

medium bodied, nice looking cigar. Taste was pretty boring.. just no depth. Draw was good, burn was on and off. I have had pretty good DR Trinidads before, this just wasn't one of them.

"Surprise"
I picked up a few of these cigars about a month before Cigar Aficianado gave it a very complimentary rating. I decided to let them sit for a couple of months, and during that time CA rated this stick as the #10 Best Cigar of the Year. At that point, I decided to give one of these a try. I must say that the outcome was a bit of a surprise to me. The guys at Cigar Aficianado were right, this is a pretty damn good cigar. In fact, it was one of the best cigars I've had over the past twelve months. Appearance was great, draw was flawless, burn was perfect. The flavor was the element that was most surprising to me. This cigar was strong with some very pleasant spice and nut flavors. It is great right now, but would be even better with just a few more months in the humidor. I was very impressed with this cigar.

"Not bad..."
Looks nice, construction was quite good. The taste was quite mild, and stayed more or less the same as the cigar burned. It wasn't bad at all if you like milder smokes, but the price is kinda ridiculous. I smoked an aged Professor Sila after the Trinidad which I paid 50 cents for and thought it was better.

"Yawn"
I got mine in a-- you guessed it-- JR sampler. 4 months rest in the humi and I tried this much-hyped cigar. Slightly sweet, slightly leathery, slightly bitter. Boring is the word used previously, and boring about sums it up. I'm halfway through it as I write and I'm thinking I'll just let it die. Oh look--it died on its own even though I've been drawing on it constantly. Oh well. Pay MSRP for this? You gotta be kidding.

"Enjoyed"
I also got my first Trinidad in a JR sampler. I thought it was a great smoke, right down to the nub. A creamy smoke with a nice taste left on the palate. Lots of aromatic smoke which drew compliments and querys from others in the room. I don't know what the normal price is, but it was well worth it at the price I paid.

"Good for the price"
Like many others, I got this in an Altidas sampler from JR. Great, above average smoke for the price I paid ($3.00). However, at full price, I would expect more complexity. The construction as perfect, and for the 2nd inch, it smacked of a Cuban ramon allones specially selected. The first inch, and the rest of the cigar were a good smoke, but not in the upper echelons...perhaps a bit boring.

"Boring"
Got this cigar in a sample pack so this is only a one cigar review... well constructed, smooth burn, great looking, great ash, but since its the flavor I smoke for those don't matter. Super easy draw with lots of smoke but really harsh and bland, produced volumes of smoke when I wasn't smoking it. So I wouldn't waste my money on this one.

"Ok smoke but not worth the price"
Got one of these in a sample pack. For the price of this i cigar was expecting something exceptional. Unfortunately it didn't deliver for me. Cigar had nice flavor and produced lots of nice smoke but it bordered on being a little harsh and left a stale taste in my mouth. Burned even and had nice ash but not for me.

"Decent, but overpriced"
You'd have thought I'd have learned after the Churchill let me down, but I'm a glutton for punishment. The TTT robusto was more firm, a bit prettier, and burned better than its bigger brother. The flavor, while strong, was pretty flat. I need more depth to justify a price tag like this.

"Thanks Cigar Dave!"
I was listening to the Cigar Dave show on the radio when I heard him recommend this cigar as a great full bodied smoke. I picked up a couple, and Cigar Dave was right! This cigar presents lovely with a dark EMS wrapper that is oily and veiny. The light was easy and the burn was even throughout. The draw was great and it produced a lot of smoke. The ash was white and firm. But what really stands out about this cigar is the full bodied taste. Rich and satisfying!

"Worth it?"
Regardless of the high price tag, this is one damn good cigar. Great draw, excellent construction, creamy, multi flavored smoke.
Yeah, I guess it was worth it.

"Lots of potential"
This cigar started off great. A bunch of different flavors coming through right of the bat. Peppery, nutty, spicy...it has it all. Unfortunately, after the first inch it became plugged. I tried to find a stem and even re-cut it, but after my attempt it began to fall apart. I think it may have been rolled a bit too tight. I should have let it age a bit, but it looked too good not to smoke. I will definitely give it another try.

"So good"
Similar meaty charred flavor to the Findador, but more spicy. Every bit as refined. Excelletn construction, it held a nice white ash for almost 2.5 inches when I accidently knocked it off. So good, I went out and got myself a box
