Rob was kind enough to throw a Taboo Dominican Maduro into the humidor deal he advertised here a week or so ago. I was going to let it rest for a bit, but I just could resist.
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Maduro
Appearance: milk chocolaty wrapper...
I had a LR Maduro Figuarado this morning.
Prelight draw--chocolate, fig flavor
Construction-very veiny, solid, desnse
Flavor-a nice woody/cedar with a nutty finish. Some nice "tang." A nice sweetness picked up abou ¼ of the way through, and I got a bit of espresso...
Agreed. I just read through that thread, and it's fantastic.
OP: It might help you taste the subtle nuances of cigars if you "sip" rather than puff. By that I mean that you take smaller, slower draws and let them really flow across your tongue.
So I just smoked my first Nub Cammie 460, and it's a nice little cigar. There are a number of very subtle flavors that really come to life layered over the stick's leathery core. The wrapper is very fragile, though, and mine cracked almost immediately. At $4/stick, I'm definitely adding this...
