I just popped by a B&M and the guy there recommended me this cigar. Casa Magna Colorado. $5 so I figured what the hell.
Anyone else heard of this cigar before? I did a search on the board but nothing came up.
Apparently they are a new company. This is all I could find on the net that was...
I'm in Denver and paid What's Knot To Love a visit. Great selection and friendly but not very knowledgeable (she didn't know what a Pardon 1964 was) staff.
Here is what a picked up, I've never smoked any of these cigars before. Which one goes down first? :ss
CAO Brazilia (looks like a robusto)...
I'm headed to Denver for a conference next week. I wanted to bring some sticks with me, but I've read that US Customs might seize them if they don't explicitly say non-Cuban somewhere on the cigar.
So my next best option would be to buy at a B&M. Anyone know where I can go in Denver...
I have both a digital and an analogue hygrometers. I did the salt test and calibrated the digital one to 75% it was off by about 4%. The analogue one looks to be off almost 10%! Is this normal? Thanks for helping a new Gorilla!
I called Taboo this morning and placed my first order (apart for me being on vacation in the Caribbean) ever! I'm like a kid who has a GI Joe in the mail. Here's the damage:
Oliva V Double Robusto 5
Oliva V Lancero 1
Padron 5000 Maduro 5
Taboo HSG 5 1/2x42 3
Taboo HSG 6x50 2
Taboo HSG 6X56 1...
So I've budgeted myself for a $100 experiment with Taboo. I'm still a n00b to cigars, so I'm not sure what to order from them! I'm thinking their 10pack sampler. Maybe some x000 Padron? Maybe something from Oliva too? I don't have lots of money - so I'm trying to make my pennies stretch!
I really admire the work that CS has done for the US Troops. Reading those threads and seeing those pictures are very heart warming.
This may be a super n00b question, but is anything like this happening for Canadian troops? I'd love to send some sticks over to our men in Afghanistan...
