Smoking at a college football game

He isn't supposed to, but like any college in LA enforces rules *eyeroll*. I've puffed away merrily in Tiger Stadium befoe without an issue. The can't police every smoker, so they don't bother really. Oddly, UL-Lafayette managed to win one...but then they won against UL-Monroe....it really...

    Macanudo 1968 Toro

Having never smoked a Macanudo in my life, I sat down at the shop and dedicated a day to Macanudo a while ago when we got these in. Over the course of 7 hours and two meals, I smoked 4 different ones from the shelf (Cafe, Robust, Maduro, and one other I forgot) and then sat and smoked the 1968...

    Intrusive B&M Sales Help

Glad I could offer an opinion on the matter to help :) Us employees really do like it when people want to talk a little...it breaks up the monotony of the day and allows us to expand our own minds some with good conversation.

    Ronson Jet something

I just buy mine in bulk from Ronson. I'd pay the extra buck and a half any day for a reliable lighter. I usually buy somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-100 a year simply to give away at herfs as gifts and to friends who need a good lighter.

Root - Natural by Drew Estate

I believe they add a decent portion of Perique (a tobacco grown and cured in St. James Parish, Louisiana) which adds the strong sweet aromatic quality to the cigars. It does indeed lend a somewhat sweeter pipe-like flavor to the cigar. Not at all a terrible stick, even for a Drew Estate cigar...

    Intrusive B&M Sales Help

Hah! Here's a few I've seen working at a shop: Licking the length to "test the strength" Sniffing (as far as stuffing them up their nose and snorting...does that actually do anything?) Dropping them, or worse, catching them against something and crushing them Roughly squeezing them (people...

CAO Maduro L’Anniversaire 10th Anniversary Perfecto

Absolutely love those as a public smoke. They smell like burning ass (but taste wonderful) and tend to keep people at a distance :)

My Cigar Dilemma - Not That Bad Actually!

I would recommend you look for and try some of the following La Flor Dominicana Ligero, Double Ligero, and Cabinet Oscuro lines. In particular, the Ligero 500 and the Cabinet 500 are excellent smokes, and IMO one of the best smokes for the price, usually around 7-8 a stick. Don Pepin Garcia...

    CAO America Humidor

All of the ones I've seen seal very well, and are made with nice thick wood. They all hold humidity very well...as in the humidipak that came in the box with the 10 cigars kept the 10 cigars fresh and smokeable for about 8 months after we got the box in.

New Neighbor hates my cigar smoking

I see no reason why compromise can't be reached. I too, live in an apartment complex, and my neighbors are avid cigarette smokers, however they loathe my cigar smoke for some reason. I hate the piles of butts they leave on the ground outside of their apt on the lawn and sidewalk. So I made a...

CAO cubist ashtray is awesome BUT...

A simple round bowl ashtray can be done with a lathe and a faceplate to turn on, nothing complicated about that. I've made dozens. The cubist is something more difficult, but I believe that can be done by hand with a plunge router and some crafty jigging. Make a sloped jig and mount it to the...

Agreed. It does have a detrimental effect on those who truly try though :(

    Silo

Prices state to state to region will vary based on local taxes and shipping costs. As I understand it, one of the primary reasons most online cigar retailers are officially located in Pennsylvania is due to very low tobacco taxes and laws that are favorable to online businesses.

    Humi project gone wrong ???

Wish I would have seen this before now :( Polyurethane has no ill effects towards taste, and after 4-5 coats with sanding in between, it hides everything. I used a poly clear-coat in a few spots inside of my homebuilt tower simply to waterproof it to prevent mold growth if I spill water...
