Nowhere to smoke... for now

An excellent solution! Looking forward to the after pics. Any ideas for how you will vent it?

After pics? These are the after pics! :tu

I'm leaving it rustic - not going to do any rock on the walls. You can't really tell from the pics, but it looks really cool with the exposed studs and conduit. As for venting, there are 3 windows in the garage and a louverd vent above the barn doors in the back.

Great job Bro - alot more "man space" than most of us have - I'm currently thinking of ways to add to the garage so that I can have some warmer outdoor space come winter.

Look forward to future updated pics - try not to lurk for so long.

This is extremely cool. I love the rustic look...wouldn't have it any other way. Enjoy the warm indoors this winter!!:tu

You know how I solved that problem? I moved to NC!:r Still to cold to smoke outside but the garage is still tolerable. Sure beats not smoking almost all winter unless I went to the local in NY.

The poster was a key find, and we couldn't have had the grand opening without it. And I know about the TV, but I'm reluctant to put anything too big or too valuable out there without hooking up some sort of alarm system. For that I apologize to all of you.

BTW, last night a buddy of mine and I were watching Rutgers stink up Piscataway and I enjoyed myself a http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=3wE&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=leinenkugel&spell=1Leinenkugel Summer Shandy (refreshing summer beer) and a Celestino Vega Senator that had been hiding in the bottom of my humi for about 10 years. It was a nice quick smoke, with a little bit of a kick to it.

Cool.

I'm near Chicago, and with winter coming I'm pretty much done from November until next April or May. A friend of mine is having an outdoor fireplace built for his house, so I'll probably get to use that but that is about it. The way I look at it, it lets me age my Padrons until next summer so at least there is a small silver lining in it.

With the rustic look going and the lack of insulation-what are you going to heat it with?
Right now I have a portable oil-filled electric heater. I figure I'll only be out there for a few hours at a time, so it shouldn't be too bad. One other option I'm toying with is putting in a small wood burning stove. I could run the exhaust / chimney right up through the roof.

And of course the humi will be coming indoors for the winter.

Lookin' good... I might have to circle around Pitman a few times to see if I can spot your haven. Might even have to drive through "The Grove" in case you're hiding :ss

Man, that place looks great. I have seen cottages up here in Manitoba that don't look that good.
Way to go.

We're right around the corner from the Grove. If you see the lights on, stop on in!
