Painting and Cigars

I have had no problem with latex based paints but I would be cautious if using oil based paints or primers.

He wants to know if the paint will make his cigars taste bad if he leaves them in the apartment when he paints it. That's all. I couldn't find it in SEARCH:chk

OHHHHHH. Thanks for the english to english translation.

I'd probably err on the side of being safe and get them into something completely air-tight.

Thanks for making it clear. I didn't think I have to explain that when you paint an apartment with two coats of oil paint it has a paint smell for weeks.
Ok, the question is should I leave the sticks or take them out some where else.

Last time I painted my house I tried to buy some oil-based enamel and was told it had been banned (a shame)! I went with latex, but if I had gone with oil I would have moved the cigars out of the house, mainly because who wants to smoke in a house that reeks of paint?

Then please excuse my obvious lack of intellect.

I stick with my original advice. Better safe than sorry. Get them into something completely air tight or out of the apartment.
